Everything went fine. The serviceman was on time and very knowledgeable. Reasonable cost.

Found the problem quickly but didn't have the part with to repair it. Took about 20-30 minutes to go get part. Everything else was fine.

The serviceman was prompt, polite and very knowledgeable. I would recommend them and use them again.

They offered us an appointment the following week (the CO was not a problem as long as the oven was turned off). Cliff arrived a few minutes early, quickly found the simple problem and fixed it. His charges were reasonable. I would use Ted's again for appliance repair.

The tech arrived on time and was very nice. He saved my some money by fixing the broken door latch instead of having to buy a new door since Samsung does not sell the individual parts. The tech punched a hole in the plastic and re-attached the spring. He did this in a few minutes.

I tried calling a couple other top rated places on here, couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. Teds answered right away, and scheduled an appointment. Was very professional, did a great job. Cost was cheap too. Would definitely use again.

Overall it was a positive experience and we would use him again.

I believe PG needed to come back the next morning, as he didn't have a correct motor with him. But the job was then very satisfactorily completed in half an hour. Machine has been running great since :)

Provided a service call for a refrigerator that we not working. Freezer was still working. I called on Monday and made an appointment for Wednesday morning. He called exactly at 7:30 am to let me know the time he would be out. Showed up exactly at the time that he said he would be there. I had a frozen pipe so he thawed the pipe and checked for holes. When non were found, he said that if it happened again, he would return at no additional charge. Didn't try to replace parts that were not broken and the refigerator has been working fine ever since. This is a 15 year old refrigerator so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. They were well work the speedy house call. Thanks!

This was an unusual situation and they handled it great. I was out of town and needed work done on a rental property in Rockford. They scheduled it quickly, did the repair, and all for a very reasonable price. I will certainly use them in the future.

, My 16 yr old gas range had/has multiple problems, which, when added together, made me seriously wonder if I should invest any money in its repair. But with holiday expenses AND entertaining needs to consider, and Thanksgiving fast approaching, I decided to call my go-to appliance professionals for their expert advice. Shaun arrived on time and immediately went to work, diagnosing my stove's many mechanical challenges - like broken spark ignitors on the burners (I have been lighting ea with a matchlight for quite some time already!) And the faulty switch to the oven light, and , of course the failed oven ignitor. It all added up. He was of the opinion that while the stove was still useable for the foreseeable future, we should start looking for its replacement within the year or so. I appreciated his honesty which pretty much reinforced what I had already suspected. As it happens, Shaun had had a rash of oven calls that morning and had installed the last oven ignitor he had on the truck, just before coming to my home! He assured me that he could get another and return another day to install it at NO ADDTL SERVICE CHARGE - just cost of part and labor! Then he asked if I ever used my broiler (I do not/have not - too much mess - I broil and grill outdoors). He asked if I use the self cleaning mode. I do NOT. I am put off by cranking the heat in the oven up to 1000 degrees! So I take precautions to keep my oven pretty clean and free of spills. With these answers, Shaun suggested that he could either return with a new oven ignitor, or he could simply remove the ignitor from my broiler (never used) and install it for my oven - it is the SAME PART! It would also take away the option of using the self clean mode. It was a no brainer! Down and out range - no point throwing good money after bad! And yet, his suggestion suited me and my immediate needs JUST PERFECTLY! The $72 included $55 Service call and some labor. I was delighted! And Shaun told me if I change my mind (I won't) and want him to install a new oven ignitor and/or any of the other parts, I had SIXTY DAYS and there would be no return service charge! Amazing! FYI - I am told that Ted's Appliance reserves Thanksgiving eve and Christmas eve days just for refrig and stove emergency repairs! WOW! Now THAT is true customer service! TED'S IS GREAT! I've have used Ted's Appliance Svc Inc. way before Angie List started over 5 years plus. For 2 washers and old freezer. They ONLY CHARGE $55 NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE! I've ALWAYS HAD SERVICE WITH IN A DAY OR SO. They get the parts right away, if it's back order, they keep in touch with you. Never charge you extra for returning back like others do for mileage. They call the day before and the Service men call ahead before your appointment too of that day. I can't say enough about the Ted's. Very trustworthy. We're very lucky to have a great company like them theses days.

They were on time and completed work the first visit.

The service man gave me a quote to repair my washing machine in which I decided to forgo since it's so old and makes more sense to replace. I then asked him to look at my stove in which he was able to take apart and clean a sensor which fixed the problem. The company called me in advance to give me a time range and then the repairman called 30 minutes prior to his visit.

They were very good about confirming my appointment and keeping in touch. They were punctual and did everything that they said they would do.

My Samsung French Door Refrigerator (only 4 years old) would not keep the refrigerator section cold enough. Turns out there was ice collecting in the 'wall' of the unit - - on the temperature sensor and the area surrounding it. When I called Ted's, they set up an appointment right away and were here when they said they would be. It was a lot of work; requiring taking all of the shelves out, and panels inside the unit; then use steam to defrost and get all the ice out and replace the sensor any other parts that was required to get it running again. I think they charged a very reasonable amount ($191.) and I was very happy how they cleaned up after themselves and were good about telling me about and showing me the parts and what was happening in the refrigerator that had gone wrong. They were polite and patient the entire time. I'd recommend them to anyone and use them again if the need arose.

After moving, we needed our range and gas dryer converted from natural gas to LP. We had already purchased the necessary orifices for the change-over. My husband had attempted to change the range and was unable to get it adjusted correctly. So, I called two companies in Rochelle to see about setting up a service call. Ted's Appliance Services was the second company that I contacted. The receiptionist who answered the phone when I called Ted's Appliance Service was very professional and nice. She was able to set me up with an appointment for the following day (with the serviceman calling in the morning at 8 o'clock with a 1 hour time range). And, they were a little cheaper. The other company quoted me a flat rate, while Ted's Appliance Service quoted me a rate based on time required to complete the job - which I thought was more fair to both myself and the company. Even with this, Ted's Appliance Service was lower! I was also confident that the service man would not be rushing through to the next job in order to collect the next set amount job quote. The service man called promptly with my time slot and arrived towards the beginning of the time range he provided me. He was very professional and friendly. He worked quickly while providing excellent service. I would highly recommend Ted's Appliance Service for any appliance repairs!

Dryer was fixed with a part on truck. Return trip needed for washer, however recommendation was made to purchase new one. This company only services, not sales, so it would have been extremely expensive to fix.

Sean arrived on time and knew exactly what to fix on washer and was able to make the microwave light work without having to replace the whole circuit board, saving me the higher cost of the part. Being as I'm on a tight budget, that was greatly appreciated.

We called to schedule the appointment. The technician came out on time. The work was done quickly and within about 2 hours total.

Repair went smoothly. Repairman knew what he was doing and had the parts he needed with him.

They are very reasonably priced. They do good quality work, and they explain everything very well while being extremely honest. I would recommend them.

After having a reverse osmosis system installed by another company we found that the ice maker in our refrigerator had quit working. The people who installed the water system did not know how to repair our ice maker so I called Ted's, with whom I had dealt before. The scheduler was courteous and efficient. After calling to verify that I was home the repairman came out very near to the estimated time and diagnosed/repaired the problem within 30 minutes. It was simply a frozen water supply line but nevertheless, beyond my abilities to diagnose. The service man was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about his profession. His work was completed quickly and neatly. I have been a customer of Ted's for years and will continue.
