Overall it went well, but it there was little communication regarding when the project would start and what time they would be on site each day. We had to coordinate working from home and it proved difficult not knowing when to expect them. The work typically started at 10:30am and ended by 4:00pm each day. The project took about 5 days for a fairly simple patio and step from a patio door. The quality of the work and materials were outstanding and I would recommend this company, as long as you aren't under a time constraint to complete the project.

The owner, Amy, came to visit in mid-September to survey the job, make recommendations, and give us an estimate on cost, with several options for materials. We were in no hurry on this project, but Andy's crew was here by mid-November. Due to stormy weather, they completed the work and clean-up after Thanksgiving. All members of the crew, led by expert stone installer Glenn, were pleasant, cooperative, and appreciative of our hospitality and assistance. There were a few tools needed that they had not anticipated because the old, rail tie wall was deeper in the ground than could have been expected. Fortunately, we had what they needed to move ahead. Heavy rains also required plastic tarps that we had and used to keep the worksite from being flooded. We live 20 minutes out of town, so these were reasonable accommodations on our part and to our benefit. After the work was done, Amy asked us to pay a small supplemental cost for the additional work that we deemed fair and gladly paid. The overall result of the work is outstanding. We have two beautiful new retaining walls for our gardens and a like-new walkway where there had been uneven paving bricks beforehand. All of this was done with exceptional attention to details and with minimal disruption of our yard and daily activities (no small matter in our very busy household). We couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Andy's.
