Why Choose iTrees.com → iTrees.com started because there are so many people out there who just need to add trees to their yards, and we specialize in trees- in fact, it's all we do! All of our trees are large, locally grown, healthy, and beautiful. Trees make the biggest impact on your home landscape, and they really make your house stand out from the rest. Rest assured, that we are the real deal, with thousands of satisfied customers across Chicagoland. We aren’t some multi-national corporation either- just a small, local business selling and planting the highest quality trees for the best prices. If you don’t believe us, you are more than welcome to give us a call, or even come pick out your trees before you buy! We pride ourselves on our service, and we are more than happy to answer any questions you might have!

"Ordered trees in April and they delivered & planted in May. The 3 man crew arrived on time and planted: 1 Redbud and one Nigra Arborvitae. If iTrees plants for you, the trees receive a 1 year guarantee. I opted for a 2 year replacement warranty on the Redbud because they can be "fussy." 6ft Redbud: $450.00 Planting/warranty $275.00 5-6ft Nigra Arborvitae $450.00 Planting/warranty $225.00 Green Backs Program Discount -$50.00 ___________________________________ Total Payment $1,350.00 Note: I had never used this company. I typically purchase trees from an online company, but with Covid, wanted to support local business. We were doing a tremendous amount of landscaping ourselves and wanted to treat our old bones to have a professional come in and plant our investment for us. The crew was extremely polite and answered all questions. We were amazed and how fast they were! They were very careful not to upset any electric/gas lines. We had called the utility company prior to their visit. What I really like: this company only sells LOCALLY grown trees that grow in the area. Online companies have great products and will have the buyer choose products within their growing zone but they also sell invasive species."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Yes, you will want to confirm that the tree removal company you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. Tree removal can be dangerous work, and it's important to verify that the company carries the proper insurance to cover any onsite accidents or damage.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

On average, removing a tree costs around $750, but you can expect to pay between $200 to $2,000. Factors that impact the overall cost include the number of trees you’re having removed, their height, the diameter of their trunks, permits needed, and the tree’s accessibility. You’ll pay more if the tree is in a hard-to-reach area or dangerous location, like close to power lines.

The cost varies depending on a number of factors, including the size of the tree, location, accessibility, whether or not the stump is also being removed, and other environmental factors.

Answered by Elan Flores at Flores Artscape in Los Angeles, CA on 01/07/25

Each tree is different, and costs can vary widely based on factors including tree size, hardness of wood, difficulties caused by location of the tree and proximity to nearby structures and objects, inherent risk involved in specific removals (e.g. rotten sections of trunk), requirements of dealing with municipalities and local governments for tree removal permits, and the methods employed by the tree worker to remove your tree.

A single tree could cost as low as $100 to remove or $10,000 dollars or more depending on these factors. It is also important to keep in mind that many companies have a minimum price to come out and do work or even give quotes.

Removal of trees costs about $1,500 to $3,000, on average.

  1. If there are no online reviews, ask them for referrals. If a tree removal company is reputable, you won't be their first client. It's perfectly acceptable to ask for references on your initial call, and if a removal company won't provide referrals, it's time to move on.

  2. Find out what equipment they use. Some types of tree removal equipment are better than others, and a removal company might need special tools to get your particular job done. On your first conversation with a prospective removal company, make sure that you clearly express the nature of the job you want accomplished and receive assurances that the company has the proper equipment.

  3. Consider all of the costs. Always ask for an estimate up-front. Inquire about the job itself and any potential hidden fees that you might not be aware of.

How many years of total service in the industry.

Answered by Daniel Humphrey at Skyview Tree Solutions in Jasper, IN on 01/30/25

To have a fallen tree removed near your home, you can expect to pay between $100 to $500. Your local tree removal professional will most likely just need to cut and remove the tree from your property, but factors like the size of the tree and its trunk diameter impact this cost. In addition, there will be an extra cost to fill in the hole left by the tree, and while you have your tree removal specialist on-site, it might be worth it to have them inspect the other trees in your yard for potential damage. Trees that have fallen onto your home or another structure, will likely be more costly to remove.

The minimum cost is $500 to $1,000, as disposal of tree debris is between $200 and $300 per load.

Answered by Jeff Searles at Lakeshore Tree Care in Chanhassen, MN on 01/08/25

Costs can range from $500 up to $2,000, on average. It depends on the size of the tree, the location, accessibility, if there are hazardous conditions surrounding the tree and the environment, and if other work is being done on the property along with fallen tree removal.

Answered by Elan Flores at Flores Artscape in Los Angeles, CA on 01/07/25

It really depends on if it's just lying on the ground or if it fell on a structure. The cost could be anywhere from $500 to $10,000. There's a wide price range because some fallen trees are really easy to remove, while others are very difficult and require a crane.

Answered by Kenneth Kirlin at Carolina Tree Trimmers LLC in Summerville, SC on 01/06/25

You can expect to pay about $1,000 to $4,000 to have a fallen tree removed. Trees that have fallen require more labor to remove than one that's standing.

Answered by Jeremiah Erickson at Chameleon Property Services LLC in Albany, NY on 01/13/25

Budget over $1,500 if you need a tree removed from your yard that’s larger than 80 feet. Large tree removal is a significant project that requires a crane, and the overall price will increase if the tree is close to your house. Typically, smaller trees can cost as low as $8 per foot to remove, while larger trees (over 80 feet) can cost at least $15 per foot.
