They said they could update our old thermostats to newer 'smart' thermostats. We were told research had been done, and a new transformer would be required to make the new thermostats work. After running a new wire, it was announced that they would not be able to install the thermostats, but that we would have to pay for the wire and their time to run the wire. If we didn't write a check today, we would be left without heat. With no other choice, I paid them and hope that everything is working like it did before. This was a man who identified himself as the owner of the company, which only adds to the ludicrousness of this. There are no mental gymnastics I can come up with to make this okay. I am attaching a photo showing the quality they were content with. They even commented on it along the lines of 'it is what it is'. I had to ask them to do something less terrible looking, and had to ask them to put the original back. I did get to keep the big greasy smudge they left on my wall. Also worth mentioning is that they didn't show up for the first appointment we made. They were busy because of a cold snap, which I understand. A simple phone call would have prevented missed work on my end, but they didn't do that. That's why I rate them 'F' on responsiveness and punctuality.

Element Services matched a quote of a local competitor but the match was for same day service. It would have been less had we booked later in the week. The competition was going to be a minimum week wait to get the work done. Family was in town and the AC had just broke. They are great!
