Description of Work: We have been having trouble with mediacom ever since we signed up with them in September (I believe). Our service is always going out and we have to wait 1-4 weeks for someone to come and fix it. When they do come it's either only fixed for a little while and then goes out again or they don't have the equipment for them to fix it with them and then we have to wait an additional 1-4 weeks for them to come back. They won't give us a decent reimbursement for out lack of service or trouble. Customer service is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

 + 0 moreWe signed a contract with them for services due to the low cost. They stated that after the contract was over our price of services would increase a small amount like $20, however each month the price kept increasing and after increasing to over $100 we cancelled. We DID contact them numerous times explaining the situation and even tried to decrease our programming but they would only take off our bill a minimum amount and we cancelled the service and went to the local phone company for a service packet.
Description of Work: The company provided us with cable and internet service. They had a private contractor install the service and wiring set up.

 + -1 moreThis company runs a monopoly in the area. Aside from Consolidated communications and some satellite internet providers-they are it. They have the best speeds but you are going to pay steep prices. You get charged extra if you only have their internet service. If there was another option, I would take it.

 + 0 moreWe were new to the area. Never had cable internet or tv. My advice is to wait, do your homework, ask your neighbours and off course check out Angies list!
Description of Work: I was lead to believe that cables internet and tv was superior to dsl or a dish. This just is not the case. The internet goes out about about once a month. The basic package for tv does not even offer a guide so you know what you're looking at and don't even e started on screwed up audio! It is all distorted and weird. When I call and complain, they blow me off and tell me, "that is just how cable is." They will not let me out of my contract so I am stuck for two years with terrible internet and tv.

 + 0 moreI spend way too much on the service. It's one of those things where we can bundle everything together like TV, phone and Internet. I don't do my TV anymore; I had to get rid of the cable, because it was so bad. But there are no other service providers that offer hi-speed Internet around here; it's a small town. If I had a choice, I would not use them. I have to use them because there is no other place for me to go to get the hi-speed Internet.
