ROMINE PAINTING

We wanted to have quotes from three painting companies for our exterior paint job, and Romine was the third company we chose. The appointment for the in-person quote was a week out - which is understandable during the busiest painting season (summer). We waited another week for a response with the final quote, and sent an email asking about it, and still no response. I was really disappointed: I thought the in-person assessment went well -- he was punctual, professional, and found items of concern that neither of the other companies addressed. But the lack of responsiveness caused us to choose someone else for the job. I will allow that in the future we may try again to use their services, maybe at a time of year that isn't so busy. We just couldn't choose Romine with confidence after being left in the dark waiting for an initial quote.

We are thrilled with the final results. We have gotten positive comments from neighbors and even our letter carrier. Plants were all protected with very minor impact to them. The painters were polite, professional and friendly. They cleaned up at the end of every day. Their work was carefully done with great attention to detail. They washed all of the siding and trim before starting. They power sanded with hand sanders that vacuumed up the dust. Sanding was done where any loose paint existed. They repaired minor problems with the siding, hammered in loose nails and made sure the surface was well prepared before priming. The Romine project manager was on site every day of the project. The company owner came by at least once a week. The rating of "Good" was given to the "Price" category above because the final cost was over the estimate of the work required for the project.

The price was very reasonable He wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive; he was middle of the road. He did great. He was very professional. Anytime anything came up, he would explain to me beforehand what was going on and why he was doing that. He was very punctual. When we had a meeting he was there and I was late. He arrived ahead of time.

The painters were very efficient and careful. Their attention to detail was most impressive. They started on time and worked constantly until the job was done. They took great care to clean up after themselves each day and to avoid inconveniencing us in the process. They did a very professional job at a reasonable cost. I will recommend them to all of my friends and neighbors.
