We were referred to John from someone else and John was extremely nice from the beginning. We told him what we were looking for in a home and he was open to doing as much or as little as we wanted him to. We looked at probably 25-30 houses with John, and he scheduled all of the appointments around our schedules very easily and didn't care how many houses we looked at. We didn't find a house that we loved, but we then discovered and empty lot that we really liked and decided to build. John was just as helpful when we switched and went down this path and he found every bit of information about the lot that he could, including subdivision covenants, plat descriptions, information about the surrounding area, etc. He took us to the lot and measured out where the property lines were, etc. Then he advised us in the contract process, etc., which is different for a lot than for an existing home. John was just as enthusiastic a couple of months into our search as he was at the beginning, and just as much when we decided to build as he was when we were buying a home. John offered to recommend builders to us, which is beyond the scope of his duties as our real estate agent. Throughout the process, John continued to send us new property listings as soon as they hit the market and to get any information that we asked about a property for us. John is also very knowledgeable about the local real estate market, both rural and urban, so he was able to provide good advice about various locations, etc.
