The installation went well. 2 workers installed about 700 sq. ft. of carpet in about 5 hours. The quality of work seems excellent. Can't see any seams. They trimmed out the transitions exactly as I requested. Overall we are very happy with the installation.

We had new carpet installed in 6 rooms and a stairway by Home Depot of Champaign, IL. The carpet was priced very well. We had a bit of an argument with them because they would not haul away the old carpet, because we had pulled it up ourselves. We pulled it up ourselves because we wanted to paint the baseboards before the new carpet went down. I understand why they want to pull up the old carpet, so they can roll it tightly to fit in their van to haul it away. We did not have it tightly rolled, so they refused to haul it away. However the installation was done very well. Only 2 tiny scratches in the freshly painted baseboard, and they pointed those out to us themselves. Very happy with the cost and final results. Not so happy with having to pay someone to haul the old carpet away.

I was really unhappy and have not gone to Home Depot since. They weren't that concerned with coming out to service it. It was contracted out and I was happy with the contractor person that came out. They took weeks and weeks to get someone out here. They were not very caring that I paid extra and they were not doing anything about it.

We went there because we found very good price there. The lady there was really nice and we really liked her. We thought we got a great price. They contracted with third party for installation. That third party contracted with a local person. I was not a fan of the third party at all. The installer did good work. I didn’t not like everything that happened around the installation like setting the installation and the paper work. I thought that for what they provided it was very expensive. I liked Home Depot but it was difficult to work with the installing company.

The carpet installation went well. They were done in a long day. However the installers had to return (it took several weeks for this to occur.) because they for got to put carpet on a stair riser. They had to return 1 month later to inspect an area where carpet yard got caught in vacuum and pulled out an 18" piece of carpet yarn. They had no solution except to put a rug over the area. The tile installation went well also except that Home Depot people failed to order a necessary finishing piece. It was reordered and again it took 2-3 weeks to reschedule an installer. When he returned he found that Home Depot had again ordered the wrong part. So another three weeks passed before the repair was made. The piece came loose about two months later and had to be repaired. It was a frustrating experience.

I spent $700. It was terrible. Their communication could have been better.

I did not use them, I just got an estimate. They are very expensive. Their price was the highest. They gave me an estimate for blown-in insulation in my home. It was $1300 for a job that I got done for $600 with another company. They did show up on time for the estimate. They were punctual and professional.

We talked to Home Depot at the store, looked at windows, etc. They sent a sales person to our house who went over the various options and made measurements of each of the windows. Once we settled on the exact windows we wanted they sent out a technician who made exact measurements, etc. It took about 2 months for the actual windows to be manufactured, but then two installers cme, worked for three days (two days it was int the 20 degree range outside). One of the windows was to have a (false) pane seperator in it, but the manufacuted it to the wrong size. It was quickly remade and sent back, and an installer came back to make sure it was the right one. There were some small wooden plugs that were omitted, and they were sent as soon as we notified them. Two small installation errors were made which allowed cold air to blow through in a high wind (unnoticeable at installation). They sent back the installers without question and very quickly. We are very satisfied with the windows and with the workmanship.

I will use them again in the future.

I am happy with the carpet and the installation. FYI Don't expect to hear from the pricing personnel when they have indicated. Don't expect communication between the pricing personnel and the installer scheduler. . If you require more than one day of installation due to having to move furniture - they insist in be done within a single week. They were unwilling to do it over a weekend when more help to move furniture would have been available to me. The store personnel were very helpful in providing me with a copy of the estimate submitted by the measurer.

We previously had the same flooring installed in our living room a few years ago, so we knew we would be happy with that type of flooring and its reasonable price, and I was pleased with the process of setting up the initial measurement appointment. The only glitch was some confusion regarding when we would be contacted as to the approximate time the service person would be at our house--he actually phoned the evening before instead of during that day. The contractor (from MeasureComp) was professional and willing to answer our questions about what we needed to do to prepare for the installation. It was 2 days later that we got the phone call to set the appointment for the actual installation (about a week and half to two weeks from the call, which was convenient for us, as it gave us time to pick up the flooring, give it time to acclimate, remove the bathroom fixtures, and prepare the kitchen subfloor). The installation contractors actually had to travel a couple of hours (from Romeoville) to get to us, as the local contractor had been recently injured; even so, they showed up almost exactly at 8:00 a.m. (and were done by 12:30 p.m.). The installers were professional and friendly; they answered all of our questions, listened to our concerns (we were not pleased with the installation of the same flooring in our living room--there are obvious repeat patterns right in the center of the room and no undercutting was done), and gave us some awesome tips for dealing with odors. The completed floor looks fantastic, and they left our kitchen and bathroom at least as clean as it was when they arrived AND helped my husband wrangle the fridge back into place. With the exception of the bit of confusion over when we would be contacted by someone from MeasureComp, this was an easy and very satisfying process for us.

We like the windows and everything but it was a little bit of a hassle getting them installed. For some unknown reason, the crew was sent from Chicago and there was time wasted on their drive. They didn’t get there when they said they would be there, they quit before they were really done, and they weren’t the best at cleaning up the mess they made around the condo. When it was finally done it turned out alright but it took some prodding to get it done. It cost more than we thought it should but it seems like that is about the price that all of the places we called were charging.
