+ -1 moreI submitted a review yesterday and learned today that price point and quality of service were given an "F" . I apologize for whatever I did to cause this rating to appear; it is inaccurate. The price point does not apply, yet; our project needs more realistic planning on our part. The rating for quality of service should be "A" for three levels of initial customer service. Hopefully the two responses will be merged. Anyone planning a project that can benefit from the services of a General Contractor, will do well to consider the services of Darcy Bean Construction.
Description of Work: Darcy Bean gave time and attention to our desire for a remodel. Questions asked via phone, email and personal meeting were patiently listened to and responded to. Customer: DO ask questions until you are comfortable with the answer and aware of the impact on your project.

+ -1 moreIt went fine. I got a quote from them but we ended up not going with them. They came out to look at my property and then the quote probably came two weeks after that. Their quote was just too high and I got quotes that were less than that. They were professional. There were a couple of things that I was not too happy with. For example, Darcy Bean sent a plumber out to my house and I was unaware that he was going to be sending a plumber to my house and the plumber contacted me early that morning and said that he needed to come over that very day within the next hour and I told him that that was not going to work for me and that I would have appreciated him calling at least 24 hours in advance. I did not know who the plumber was but he was not the most perceptive to me telling him that he could not come out that day. In general, Darcy was professional but he did state that he was going to come out to give me the quote on a Monday and then he ended up not doing that. I kept having to ask him if he was coming that Monday because he had never set a time and then he finally got back to me that Monday morning and said that he could not come that day and that he would have to come the following day. I would probably not consider getting a quote from them in the future just because I think that most of their quotes would probably be pretty high.
Description of Work: I got a quote from Darcy Bean Custom Construction at the end of September for completely renovating our basement.

+ 2 moreExcellent job. Worked closely with us to detail what we wanted, offered good advice on design/materials and came up with final design based on our conversations. The quality of work was excellent, and very professional. There was a bit of delay because cabinets were delayed, but otherwise progress was as expected. The final bathrooms are gorgeous, and the linen cabinets transformed the second floor.

+ -1 moreThey did a superb job with very high quality. Actually we've had a lot of very positive comments on the design of the kitchen; so they did a very nice job on the design. Their cabinetry recommendations were all very well. The quality of the cabinetry and installation was very good. They even came up with solutions to constructions problems that were actually quite clever. Basically it was just finishing touches that made it really high quality work.
Description of Work: We've worked with Darcy Bean Construction and we have a kitchen remodeled. They did the design and the entire kitchen remodel about 5 years ago in April.
