Description of Work: Mike had installed our hardwood floors several years earlier and did a fantastic job. The work done in 2011 was to refinish the floors. They looked great after the work was done and we were very pleased. Mike also built a deck for us, and we have been happy with this project as well. I definitely recommend Michael for doing a great job.

Description of Work: Michael Clewley restored our original 100-year-old hardwood floors to their original beauty. After his work, and the work of other specialists, our home received three awards for historic restoration. Mr. Clewley is an ideal contractor in that he is truly invested in the work he does. He takes his work seriously, and takes great pride in the results. Our hardwood floors (oak and Douglass fir) are spectacular! Mr. Clewley is highly recommended.

He refinished the hardwood floors on the entire first floor of my home. He was working while the work was going on in my basement. We had to stay in a hotel for that time. He told me he was going to work on the 4th of July, and then decided not to. He had a barbecue at his home instead. I ended up having to stay extra time at a hotel and this cost me more money. It cost me an extra $100. He did take $50 off the price of the job he did for me. My main problem with him was that he told me he was going to work on July 4th and he didn't. We are very happy with the hardwoods. We had to wait 2 months for the work to be done because he was booked up. The work he did was fine. The floors look pretty nice.
Description of Work: I used Clewley Construction to refinish the hardwood floors on the first floor in my house.

We did work on the 4 th July as stated, except his floors had not dried to the point where we could put Finnish on them, he came to my house while we were grilling to have a lunch break. Unfortunately I fell of my own roof that day around 1pm and broke both my ankles and wrist. My son and I spent most of the day in the emergency room. The floor was completed with in the time limits of the original scheduled dates this was discussed with Mr.Maloney. I always inform my clients on time limits and if things like humidity, and air flow will prevent polyurethane from drying then you have to wait for it to dry. It rarely happens but did happen on this occasion.

Description of Work: Sanded, stained, and 2 coat finish on hardwood floors in kitchen, dining room and living room. Also removed black, tarry underlayment on wood in kitchen (hand scraped it off).
