 + -1 moreBEWARE consumers. This company was hired by another company to install an irrigation system on a new construction. I didn't know anything about this type of thing so, unfortunately, thought they knew what they were doing since they were hired by a landscaper(also very poor workmanship) who was hired by my builder(excellent). I was SO wrong. After 3 years of having nothing but problems with the system, I just finished spending thousands of dollars to have a reputable company come in and totally revamp the system. After speaking numerous times with the foreman, he clearly informed and showed me all the things that were done improperly and the poor quality of materials used. DO NOT hire this company do anything regarding irrigation. You will live to regret it on so many levels. They might do okay on other services they provide but I can honestly give you a first-hand review on how qualified they are to do irrigation systems. I'd like to say you get what you pay for but I didn't even get that. I would give them a negative star rating if I could.

 + -1 moreThey mowed the lawn. Even though I had mulch around my trees they mowed so close they hit the tree damaging the bark on newly plant trees. Their mowing blew the mulch out in the yard leaving the ground bare and subject to weeds. They did not replace the mulch. I called late in the season because I wanted the daylilies and other flowers mowed down, they said they would take care of mowing them down. They did not! I also asked them to mow late enough to mulch the leaves. They did not!
Description of Work: I had them mow my lawn.

 + -1 moreThey came at the exact time expected, with a sufficient crew to finish all the work in one day. They left the place looking fine. All the shrub trimming was quite professionally done. I'm well satisfied, and will use them again. The work was done just after Thanksgiving, to accommodate the late leaf-fall this year.
Description of Work: Complete fall leaf clean-up of full yard, plus gutter cleaning, removal of invading weeds and 'volunteer' trees in several places, and trimming of all bushes around the house and yard perimeter.

Our neighbor has commented favorably on the results, and we are very pleased ourselves. We will definitely call this firm again when it is time to spruce up our garden.

Description of Work: My bushes and beds had become very overgrown and full of weeds due to the heat and rains. They came in and removed all the bushes I requested, weeded the front, side and back yard beds (large beds) and laid 2 truckloads of river rock over landscape matting. I needed them to become as maintenance free as possible since I am unable to do it myself anymore and they couldn't have done a better job! They were efficient, hard working and made some helpful suggestions that I really appreciated. I appreciated their professionalism and all-around good work ethic as they worked diligently to get my yard cleaned up and back in shape . . . so I'm no longer embarrassed by how overgrown it had become! I appreciate it and I'm sure my neighbors do too! :)

Description of Work: I hired Atlantic to perform spring cleanup and removal of some huge heavy branches (about 15 feet long) that had come down over the winter. I sent them an e-mail on a Saturday. By Monday at 8.30 they had called me, gotten the details, and set up a general time (since it was all outdoor work, I didn't need to be there and didn't care about having a specific date/time). They showed up when they said they would, and they did a fantastic job, removing not only the huge branches but all the general fall/winter debris in the yard, plus a bunch of pine needles that had been piling up for years. It all got done in one day as well. The one thing that didn't go as planned was that when I was called, I was asked if I also wanted pruning, and I said no. However, they did prune, and fairly heavily at that. It wasn't a big deal to me (saved me the trouble!), but others might not have been as happy. The work they did would have taken me several weeks of free time to accomplish, at least. The only reason I gave them a B on price instead of an A is that this wasn't a cheap job. However, it was worth it to me, and I would definitely use the company again.

 + 1 moreThey did a thorough job of cleaning the house. They worked patiently and didn't hurry through it. On the bush trimming, they squared off the bushes just fine, picked up all the leaves and branches around leaving a clean rock underbed. They were very polite in both cases and was very receptive to changes or ideas. Very friendly.

 + 0 moreThey are really good. We use them regularly for various things. We have student apartments and they do different kinds of maintenance work. They are very hard working. They send out a large crew of people and get the job done. Sometimes they don't speak English that well but they at least send one person that can. They have done leaf work. I have had them dig up this enormous row of Hostas, divide, and replant them. They have done snow and leaf removal. They have done mowing on hills and all kinds of things. They are expensive but if one wants to get the job done, they are really good. They are very prompt. However, they do have language problems sometimes. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I last used Atlantic Services Inc in October 2011. I use them mainly for lawn and yard work.

 + 0 moreThey have hard-working employees and all the various tools and supplies they need. They show up, occasionally after a couple of calls, and work hard until the job is done. It's hard to find people who will really dive into a task like this, so I am not surprised that it is expensive.
Description of Work: I have used Atlantic services many, many times, for a wide variety of services: mowing, weeding, mulching, planting, moving rock, cleaning concrete, heavy landscaping jobs (wide swaths of tall weeds). I once used them to dig up a very long hosta border, re-trench, add compost, divide the hosta, and replant evenly, then plant the huge amount of remaining hosta elsewhere in the yard. They did an excellent job. They also do reliable snow removal. There are many other non-landscaping jobs they can do: anything that takes energetic manpower. I try to avoid hiring them because they are so expensive, but really, when you need to get a large job done, call them. You'll be glad you did.
