I called Cal Johnson on Nov 10th and he returned my call the next day. I told him what was going on and he said he would come by and check it for me. I told him the brand, make and model number of the unit. He came by, Sat. the 11th and put a volt meter on it and checked out numerous things and told me he would have to put on a new circuit board and that they were expensive and that if that was not the problem he could not take back the circuit board and he would have to further diagnose the system to see what else could be the problem. When he left he told me he would have to do some research to determine the right board that needed to be installed and he would get back with me. After he left I did my own research on the internet and found the proper board to install. It was new with a 6 month warranty and a 30 money back guarantee and it was reasonably priced so I ordered it. On Mon. the 14th I talked to him on the phone and told him I ordered the part. He was busy on Tues, and Thur. but we were both available on Wed. and we set up an appointment for him to come over as I had also informed him the condensation drain line looked to be plugged also and needed to be cleaned out. The part arrived on Wed. but he was a no show and did not return my phone call. I called again on Thur. and Fri. and he finally returned my call on Sat afternoon the 19th. and told me he was going to back out of doing work on my furnace using some stupid excuse that he was afraid of the (new) circuit board I bought. The same board he would have purchased. I still have the box that the last one came in after replacing it 3 years ago I forgot I had. Now my wife and I woke up to a freezing house on Sunday morning and my wife and I am going to bed in a freezing house Sunday night, 28 degrees as I write this. I am now going to have to call someone else to come work on my furnace tomorrow morning. DO NOT USE THIS PERSON for any reason. If he has the gall to send me a bill it will go straight to the trash can. p.s. He disconnected parts from my furnace and just left them hanging there. UPDATE: Today is Wed. Nov. 23rd and I got a new gas valve delivered and installed it and the furnace runs fine. Thanks to SupplyHouse.com.
