Everything went well and had been happy with the job until early 2013. A piece of siding has come loose on the front of the house. I realize that the work had been done 9 years ago, however, the last line of the contract states that there is a lifetime warranty on product AND labor for insulated siding. Have tried to contact Northwest via phone, email, and even stopping by their offices (one a Schaumburg and one a Cary address), one was empty and the other locked up with no sign of activity in the complex. They recently sent a card, stating they would give $100 for a referral, unfortunately, I could not refer a company that cannot even give me any type of courtesy call.

I was initially very happy with this company. The price was fair. The installation went well, the correct product and color was installed and the workers cleaned up the area well. I even recommended this company to neighbors who used them as well. However, over the next few years, I noticed some siding actually coming down off my house - it was obviously an installation issue. I called my contact, the guy who sold me the siding and I believe the owner of the company, Tom Radek, and asked him to send out a crew to fix the siding. The first time this happened was within the 5 year labor warranty and, although it took a while to get them to show up, they fixed the the sagging siding without charge. The second time (now late 2010) has become an issue. I actually have siding down off the side of my house and I've had to nail the product into my house to prevent further degradation of the installation. I started calling Tom Radek in October and asked for a repair visit before the snow arrived here in the Chicago area. After MANY unanswered phone calls, Tom promised a visit from his installers in October or November when they were in the area. This did NOT occur and they have not called to schedule a visit to date. I have called Tom several more times without getting a returned call. I'm being ignored and I'm guessing he hopes I will just "go away". The snow has arrived without a repair visit. I'm NOT asking him to do the repair for FREE and I told him this. I do want somebody to repair the siding that is familar with the installation. I suspect he does not have crews of his own - he just subcontracts and this may be an issue. My desired resolution is a repair of my siding NOW before any more comes down off the house.
