Julie aggressively raced to get a $3000 deposit towards a $15,000 bathroom renovation and came back with a $46,500 proposal ($25,000 unspecified labor) and when I said I wouldn’t do that nor was I expecting that extreme amount of money, I didn’t hear back from her. When I called back after a month, she indicated in no way that she could do any type of small work in the next 60 days. I asked for a portion of the $3000 back and she and told me it’s non-refundable and she is a business person. So, unless you want to open up your checkbook beyond any imaginable return value you could get from your home, don’t go there! It felt like a scam from the beginning and shame me!

When we decided to begin the long overdue but daunting task of renovating our kitchen, we were excited but also filled with trepidation. After we had spent weeks flipping through kitchen design magazines and searching the net for ideas, we came upon the Kitchens By Julie website. A look at her dazzling gallery of ?Before? and ?After? photos encouraged us to pay her showroom a visit. We walked in with our heads spinning and within minutes, Julie had put us at ease about the project. We knew that our search was over. At every stage in the process of building our dream kitchen, Julie and Mark impressed us with their professionalism, their creativity, and their attention to every detail. Julie?s design incorporated fresh new ideas for our existing kitchen and eating area while keeping in mind our individual tastes and the overall style of our house. The result is a kitchen that is truly made for us. We love the warm, nutmeg tone of the cherry cabinets; the elegant design of the new table, chairs, and barstools (which echoes the crown molding); the dramatic feature hood which Julie herself faux-finished in a rich copper color; the creamy stone tile backsplash; the contrasting granite colors for the perimeter cabinets and the island; the lovely porcelain tile that replaced our old and dingy ceramic floor (a last minute decision that we don?t regret one bit!). We now have more cabinet and work space than we ever thought possible. And while our kitchen is more than up-to-date with the latest in materials, I feel that it is classic, not merely trendy. We can?t overstate how thrilled we are with Julie?s exquisite design and Mark?s impeccable workmanship as he painted the walls and ceiling, installed the cabinets, and tiled the backsplash. It was a pleasure to work with them and the other highly professional workers that they brought in to do the drywall, electrical work, and floor installation. What a great experience!
