 + -1 moreWorst experience ever. Took 2 years to complete 1/2 the work. Couldn't get company to finish even though they were pre paid. Had a quote after and was told most of the original work wasn't even fully completed or covered up. DON'T HIRE. Do your own leg work, or find an honest company.

 + 0 moreChris was recommended to my by the Animal Control specialist who trapped a raccoon on my roof, and told me I had extensive chimney damage. He came to home the next day for the estimate, then negotiated with my insurance company directly to agree upon a price. He performed the work basically the next day, and was extremely thorough and responsive. The price seemed very high to me (initial estimate $12,000, and final price $10,000), but my insurance covered all but my deductible.
Description of Work: Aumiller's basically rebuilt the interior of my chimney and the top portion, including installing 2 flue liners, a new chimney cap, etc. The damage that needed repairing was the result of general wear and tear, as well as damage from a raccoon that had created a den. Chris Aumiller was extremely responsive, came to my home to negotiate the price with my insurance adjuster, and performed the work in 3 days. He seemed very knowledgeable on raccoon damage specifically and chimneys overall.

 + -1 morethe estimate and that I wasn't even supposed to see the detailed estimate.In addition to this, I told him that I wasn't sure the smell was completely gone, but I was willing to give it time to make sure.the owner didn't want to hear any of this.I also mentioned that his crew scuffed up our fan in the process of doing the job, but, again, the owner didn't want to hear any of it. He said that he had already spent too much time on the this job and he wasn't doing any more. I thought that was very unprofessional.At the end of the day, the owner did take some money off, but he wasn't willing to go through the estimate to come up with a fair dollar number. I wanted to pay the full amount for the services provided, but not a penny more.The process was very stressful, and I think, in the end, the owner has to comply with what his workers promise to customers. The customer is not going to feel satisfied with an answer, ''My workers shouldn't have told you that or promised you that.''
Description of Work: This is from Pete H. Aumiller was hired to eliminate the smell in the room below our attic. Aumiller said that there were racoon feces/urine in the attic causing the smell. They would vaccuum and reinsulate the attic. My main problem with Aumiller is that the company salesman/adjuster promised me many things before and after signing on for the work, but the owner came in last minute saying that his worker shouldn't have promised me all of these things. I was having an average experience with Aumiller until this happened. My original estimate for the work included line items and costs for work that turned out to be unnecessary and thus the work crew didn't end up doing the unnecessary part. His work crew even told me this when I asked. When I brought this to the attention to my salesmen/adjuster, he responded in a very reasonable and fair manner.They were going to take care of it. But the owner came in and just started telling me that it didn't matter what was stated in...
