F & G LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE

Description of Work: F & G Landscape Maintenance, headed by Fernando Guzman, simply started working for me in June 2014 by cleaning up my yard, planting flowers and mulching. From that humble beginning he took on the chore of filling in and re-sodding a large low spot in the front lawn where a tree once stood before my home was built that had grown deeper, thanks to last winter's never-ending snow and ice which collected there. I asked Fernando and his team if they could fill in the dip and even out the slope of the lawn from the front sidewalk to the center of the yard. This was done beautifully with top soil and sod, grass seed filling in stray bare spots. The back yard was similarly reseeded. Next up came cleaning out the gutters which are magnets for leaves, twigs and debris from old growth oak, elm and walnut trees in the back and side of the house. The standard downspouts were replaced with underground downspouts to eliminate water runoff collecting in pools near the foundation. Bushes were trimmed and tree branches that had been hanging over the deck and sides of the house were removed. Three old overgrown burning bushes were removed and replaced with smaller boxwood bushes. Most recently I had him de-thatch, aerate and fertilize the lawn. The gutters will be cleaned again once the leaves are off the trees.
