The shower handle broke and I could not turn it off unless I fussed with it. It was not easy to fuss with it when I had soap on my hand. They also did some other work when they were here. They cleaned out the sink in another bathroom. That costed more. They analyzed the problem and the pricing was made in the beginning. He kept to his price. He was very polite. He arrived on time. They called me ahead of time and told me he was on his way. He was very neat and clean. He cleaned up after himself. The price was fair.

My experience with: AMY PLUMBING HEATING COOLING & ELECTRIC INC went very well. There were no problems scheduling an appointment. I called at 10am and they had a appointment open for 3pm same day. They called 15min before they came over and arrived on time. The service person that I had was very professional. I told him I needed a new water heater and he gave me several options. I decided to go with a 50 gallon gas Rheem water heater, a very good model. He had the water heater delivered in 15 min and installed it. After he was done he went over all the functions of the unit. The whole service visit from start to finish was about 2 hours. He took away the old water heater when he left. A very pleasant experience from start to finish.

They were very good. The price overall was fair although I thought the price on the chimney work was a little high. They were very professional and worked fast. I would recommend them.

It was ridiculous. I inherited some money and was trying to be energy efficient. I had an older gas water heater and the last time someone had cleaned it, they said, you should really replace this when you have the chance. So, I called up Amy. They had replaced our furnace before with no problems. They said sure, we can replace it, quoted me a price, yanked out the old gas heater, then acted surprised when I was surprised that they were replacing it with an electric heater, because the crawlspace was too small to accommodate a new gas heater. They acted like obviously we would have known that. They said that it would take the water heater longer to fill back up and the down time would be greater, but only by about half an hour, as compared to the old heater. The truth was far worse than that. We could not get through a fifteen minute shower without running completely out of hot water. We called them and they suggested we take shorter showers, only do laundry and run dishwasher overnight. They insinuated that we just used more water than an average family. Finally, they suggested that we add another tank, we would have two 40 gallon tanks connected to a single heat source. We agreed, only because we were up a creek. Nearly $7000 dollars later, the experience was virtually identical to having one tank. If we both took showers in a 24 hour period, we could not do dishes or laundry. No matter when we tried to do hot loads of laundry, the sensor on the washer beeped and indicated a lack of hot water. They adjusted the temperature, they fiddled with it and their final suggestion was to add another heating element. We had mentioned tankless water heaters at the very beginning and they discouraged us, saying they did not have a very long life and there would be no cost savings, by the time the price savings were made up for in price, it would be time to get a new one. They quoted us a price of $6000. But because we had no choice (the crawlspace could not do gas and electric was a bust) and Amy had stopped returning our calls, we called up a company recommended by a friend. They gave us a tankless for under $3000 that has been like a revelation since it was installed. Yes, the water bill has gone up, but it's a small price to pay to not have to decide each day whether we want to be clean or have dishes to eat off of. Not having to schedule our entire lives around the hot water available and to be told it was our fault. Never again with Amy!!

it went well. they informed me of the price up front, and were done in good time. They gave me advice on how to prevent a recurrence. I've used this company before, to replace a boiler, and a furnace, and and an air conditioner, and was happy to see them listed under this service in Angies list. Every time I've called them I've felt like I got good service and product for the money spent.

Their quote was considerably higher than others for comparable systems.

Augured out all three toilets so that they all flowed great. Told us to switch from two ply paper to single ply to prevent repeated problems, which seems to have helped a lot. Also checked our furnace and found that it was leaking very low levels of CO. Gave us a quote to replace the unit, but we haven't done that yet.

They gave us a ten year warranty with the products.They have always honored it for us. They came out several times to fix any issue we have had with the system.

They made it difficult to get out of the contract with them. I had to actually go to their office and sign off on a form to do so. The approximate cost listed is how much the service cost per month. We would not use them for work in the future.

In the past two years I had an appliance guy and a roofer out to my house and they both looked like greasy mechanics and made me work around their schedule, Amy asked what two hour window appointment I wanted and they were on time.

A+++ service as usual. Tim C. showed up this time. Very neat, clean and professional like the last guy. Gave me lots of options based on how long I was gonna live here and what my budget was like. Their standard pump is pretty top notch and comes with an alarm system I really like.

No complaints, very straight forward with how he would do what I needed or for how much. Neat, clean & professional. Was able to accomplish the job with zero drywall work needed afterward, which no one else could promise me. Highly recommended.

We had no idea of the amount of work that would be required to make that plumbing up-to-date and workable because the new sink was much deeper than the old sink. There are separate traps for the sink and the dishwasher and everything works beautifully. A did not complain about how late he would have to work to get everything finished and cleaned up afterwards.

The repairman came as scheduled, located the problem and fixed it efficiently.

From dispatch to completion, install was great, very knowledgeable dispatcher explained the benefits of going with their heater as opposed to having them install my customer supplied one. Great warranty and guaranteed code legal installation got them the job.

They called when they were on their way as promised, guy fixed problem on the spot and cleaned furnace. Also offered me a service agreement that I bought and saved lots of money with. Comforting to know they have several guys within their company that are certified furnace experts.

Very professional service, prompt 8am show up time, explained process and price before starting work. Appreciate the booties on their feet to keep my floors clean and options for the future.

Project went great start to finish and they left my house cleaner than it was when they got there. Very neat, clean and professional service.

Overall job experience was great. The butt crack/janitor looking plumbers are a thing of the past with this company, true professionals!

They were great. The basement is the cleanest room in the house. They were here until 10:00 p.m. working on it, they didn't want to leave it unfinished over night. They were very professional. I did a lot of comparison shopping and the price was right. There was a senior discount.

I can't tell you specifically how much that job was, but I do have a universal contract with them. I pay $35 a month for being a universal customer and that means that they will come out for any plumbing or heating issues. One call does it all with them. I'm not certain if they still offer that deal to customers or not, but I have been extremely happy with them.

Our sewer was scoped. I was told the pipe was collapsing and rodding was impossible because it was made of "orangeberg". The only way to fix this was ripping up and replacing all of the pipe in our finished basement and yard. He would send a copy of the tape and estimate. I doubted this as our house is only 10 years old. I called the city building department and was told we had cast iron inside and PVC outside. We got the estimate weeks later after calling many times. It would be $7593 to replace just the inside pipes with cast. No price for cutting/replacing the cement/flooring/carpet nor cost for outside pipe. Another company viewed the tape and said it needed rodding. I have the second tape of the clean sewer, Amy is disgusting. The estimate was fraudulent. I can't ask for a refund because they DID scope the sewer as requested but we were paying for their expertise in solving our occasional backups. No one should trust this company. They are either crooks or incredibly incompetent.

They were very responsive to the first quote. However, when we wanted to change some things, Amy Plumbing never returned our new quote. It's been 4 months, and still no response.
