We scheduled it and they were on time.They did a fine job and cleaned up after themselves.

We chose the trim and he botched the whole thing. It was sloppy, spatters of paint all over - terrible.

THey were very responsive initially, but when I had to reschedule them , due to problems on my end-it took them a very long time to get back to me and even longer to perform the painting. However, they work was done well.

Unfortunately, the time it took between approving the layout, approving the price and placing the order proved to take longer than I anticipated. Then when the order finally arrived and installation was scheduled, Michael had a personal issue to attend to and could not complete the installation as scheduled. Michael and I examined the materials before he left, and all looked to be in order. After closer inspection it became apparent that the glass for the doors were cut too small. I notified Michael, who returned to pick up the doors and glass. After the holiday's, Michael returned to install the cabinet doors with the glass and waived the installation charges due to this error. While we would not use Michael again for ordering cabinets we would use him again for drywall work which is what we had previously utilized him for.

Scheduled the 4 hours of drywall work as purchased in the coupon, but had to cancel the initial date due to a work schedule change. Rescheduled with the company for a second date, took off work. They cancelled the visit with less than 2 hours notice with a phone call. After they cancelled the service call, they have not since responded to any emails or phone calls to reschedule from that time on despite multiple attempts. Coupon has since expired and I have given up trying to get the service I already paid for. Was very disappointed in the professionalism and follow through of this highly rated company.

We were looking to just have 2 rooms painted but that wasn't of interest to him. He was trying to get us to do a larger job and the price was very unreasonable. It took him 3 months to schedule an appointment with us and another 2 to get the quote.

I purchased angies big deal on the website and contacted this guy through email and phone but he never replied back.

Lotz renovations showed up on time as promised and fixed numerous issues including several cracks and smoothing out a transition between two walls created by the previous owner. They worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. There was very little dust to deal with as is typical with most drywall projects. We would definitely use Lotz again.

I searched for a contractor to renovate my mother's basement. When Mike came out to the house, he saw the work that needed to be done (a lot of updates, since the house was built in the early 70's) and informed me of unforeseen circumstances. His proposal was very complete and the work he performed was for the amount he quoted. There were circumstances that were not unexpected (there always are in any job), but this did not slow him down or cause any delays to the project schedule. There are additional projects that need to be done at my mother's home and I would gladly use Mike's services again.

After many weeks of back and forth emails and telephone calls, MIchael finally showed up to do m,y drywall repair work. Once here he did an okay job of repairing the nail pops, tape peels and various gouges around the bottom floor and above the foyer. There were some areas he couldn't reach without scaffolding and that was not included int he price of the package deal I bought. He did an okay job of mudding, but it will still need to finished off by the painter. While he was here I showed him the bathroom that we are going to remodel as our next project and he said that he was interested in the job. He took some measurements and said he would get back to me with a quote. That was almost two months ago and I have since contracted it to another company.

I contacted Mike Lotz about a month ago to give me an estimate for the job of taking out a wall between our kitchen/breakfast area and family room. Even though I made the initial call and left voicemail on a Sunday he called me back the same day! We agreed on a convenient time the next evening and Mike was here right on time. He's pleasant, friendly and very professional. He listened to my plans, answered my questions and told me he would email me a written estimate in a few days, which he did and I found it very reasonable. I then called him to schedule the work and he was able to give me exactly the date I was asking for in just a couple weeks. On the morning of the agreed upon day Mike and his son Michael were here right at 8:00 AM as promised. They set up and got right to work, always being careful to protect the surrounding areas from the destruction/construction dust and debris. Lo and behold by 4:00 PM the wall was gone, they had cleaned up and done a wonderful job! They're very precise and careful, and pay a lot of attention to detail. I'm thrilled with all the wide open space now instead of two smaller rooms. I plan to make more improvements and updates to my 34 year old home over the next year and I will surely be calling on Lotz Renovations again!

Overall, I am extremely pleased with Michael.

I called, left a message to schedule a date and time for them to come and give me an estimate. The company called back, did not leave a message but I noticed the call back on my cell phone so I called back, left a message and never head back from them again. I guess their business is good.

Great. Good person. Likes his job. Will use his services again.

Mike and his son Michael did a great job. They were there at 8am right on time and wasted no time getting down to work. They were very neat and all the edges were very crisp and consistent. He estimated the job would take up to three days, but they got it done in a day-and-a-half. I had purchased the $99 coupon for any size room and I wasn't sure if the work would be up to standard, but Mike exceeded my expectations. He charged a little extra for a second coat and to do the stairs and bedroom, but overall cost was very reasonable.

Scheduling the repair work was the only problem although once it became urgent due to a home inspection, Michael arranged to show early morning. He arrived right on time and we showed him the area that needed repair work. He got right to work and had the old drywall cut out and was measuring and installing the new drywall piece within the first 45 minutes. Micheal was focused and professional in his demeanor. He finished in the drywall with a very nicely done plaster/mud of the repaired area, which was ready to paint after a brief drying time. After he completed the work and received my apporval of the repair; he cleaned up and removed the tarp that covered the work area leaving it as clean as when he started. Excellent workmanship and professionalism and absolutely no upselling.

I bought the Angie's List Big Deal from Lotz Renovations to paint a large room up to 600 sq. ft. for $100. I noticed some of the previous comments that mentioned that there were some limitations to the deal, so when I called Mike Lotz I asked about them. He told me that the $100 deal included a single coat of paint, no trim/baseboards, and that the 600 square feet number was in reference to the wall area, NOT the footprint of the room. He said that for another $65 he would paint a second coat. That's a lot of fine print, and it wasn't detailed clearly in the Big Deal description (which I complained to him about, and he said he had already complained to Angie's List but they hadn't updated it). Still, $165 to paint two coats on my large family room is a great deal so I took it. He emailed me a few days after I bought it to schedule an appointment, and I wrote back (and eventually left a voicemail), but I didn't hear back from him for another week. It would have been good to receive a faster response, but I can understand that his schedule was pretty booked because of the Big Deal so it didn't bother me too much. Once we did connect and set up an appointment, Mike was punctual on the day of the job (actually early) and got right to work. He was friendly and skilled, and painted the room quickly. He was flexible (we didn't originally know if we'd need a second coat or not, and he allowed in his schedule for it just in case). He also asked if we wanted to paint an inner door (which was previously the old color) as well, which was helpful. All in all, he did a great job at a great price.

Overall, I am happy with this. Especially the great price. But after reading the recent review I was greatly concerned he would not do a good job. Happily, this was a good experience.

Everything went fantastic! Michael reached out to me right after i purchased the Big Deal. I had to put him off for a few weeks while I continued investigating some other work in the house I wanted to get done that would have required some drywall work. Unfortunately that project ended up not being really feasible - old house surprises abound - so he came to do this rather small and boring repair work for me. He was very flexible in scheduling and very understanding of our crazy schedule. He showed up on time and is a VERY nice guy. He has a sense of humor, was honest and when we had discussed all the various aspects of what I was looking to get done he got right to work. My in-laws were visiting so it was a bit of a zoo but he kept a low profile, kept things clean and tidy as he moved from spot to spot and through the necessary stages of the work. I would hire him again in a sec. His honestly and good nature and excellent work product is everything I look for when inviting professionals in to my home.

The initial response to the BigDeal coupon was wonderful. Mr. Lotz quickly and professionally came to my house to discuss the interior painting job that was to be done; however, his focus shifted from painting to also include roofing and gutters by his choice, indicating to me that he had subcontractors available for this work. He was to provide an estimate to me within 3 days. After emails sent by me to him I got a response indicating he would get back to me, but it didn't happen. I told him to just send me an email regarding the painting. I got an estimate for the painting in a couple of days. At that point, I wasn't comfortable with proceeding working with Mr. Lotz. After rethinking my encounters with Mr. Lotz, I chose to go with another provider and asked for a refund for the BigDeal that I had purchased.

Mike was responsive. Got the job done quickly on time for my daughters wedding. Cleaned up very well and paid close attention to detail.

We purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for up to 4 hours of plastering for $99. Mike arrived on time and we showed him a few potential projects in our home. He was able to complete an amazing amount of patching and plaster repair in the four hours. The quality of the work was top notch. We are very satisfied and were pleased to find out that Mike can handle a variety of remodeling projects. We will be calling him within a few weeks to do a project in our living room.

He did an excellent job and he cleaned up everything amazingly well. He also uses his time very well. If one patch was drying in one room, he would go work on another area. I would consider him for other plaster work as well as other home projects now that I know what kind of renovation work and what quality of his work is. I would highly recommend him.

He was here, it was good, I just have to do some finish up work. I have to do some sanding work, which we had agreed on. But everything looks and I am happy with the work.
