We've used A-1 for other jobs before. As always, they did a great job for a great price.

Great. They were professional and gave me a detailed report on a number of issues in order of magnitude to have taken care of. Very thorough and easy to work with.

They were prompt, clean, efficient, did a good job, and kept the house clean. After they cleaned it they tried showing me a crack they noticed in the back of the chimney and said it would be a couple hundred dollars to fix. I couldn’t see the crack, perhaps it was small. I declined the repair service.

They performed professionally and with courtesy. Showed inside of dryer vent before and after cleaning.

They rushed through it. It was a new house so the chimney was pretty clean. But I would still want someone more professional then me. They gave me a lot of things I needed to do and they wanted to charge me about $800 to do it, but I did not do it. The price was reasonable for their first trip. I was their last appointment for the day so they were trying to rush it.

Chimney cleaning and inspection went great, but A-1's estimate to repair the chimney cap and tuck point the brickwork was about four times what we eventually paid another contractor for excellent work.

It turned out real great. Their responsiveness was very good. They were nice guys. Actually, I got their card in case something else comes up. There were two workers that came out. They were very professional. It took them probably an hour the most to complete the service. They left the area very clean. They laid down nets and all that stuff so nothing gets dirty and so it was all nicely taken care of.

Very well. Two techs showed up. One cleaned and inspected the fireplace and flue inside. The second tech went outside on the roof and inspected the chimney and flashing. We have used the fireplace almost every evening since and all works fine. Very satisfied! Geo O

They were extremely good and highly professional. They did all the work they did do in ah very professional and effective way. They were courteous and explained everything in detail. Ok not not other shoe falls, my fireplace required more work, work they would not do. I was left high and dry with little more the a "check with a fireplace store" For a firm so otherwise extremely good, I was not happy when they left. Not I repeat about their work or how much I paid, but that I could not get them to correct the chimney issues they found.

Will and Brandon were very professional. I originally had them come out to do the chimney sweep. Will then went on the roof and found an number of issues. He took pictures on roof before work to show what was needed. Took pictures after work to show what was done. They stayed with the job till it was completed They were on time and very polite. Good Job.

We brought A-1 in for a standard service and they indicated that a ton of repairs needed to be done - Lock top dampers, crown coat, finishing seal, ChimSave water proofing, Chimney siding seal, hot water heater storm collar service and chamber work. We also were told that we would get 15% off if we did the work that day. I was provided with two quotes and told the tech that I wanted to go with the cheaper one, which was everything minus the chamber work. I should have gotten a quote from another company as the prices seemed high, but unfortunately we didn't. I had to leave the house for an appointment, so my husband was the one to sign-off on the work. The technician did all of the work for the higher quote anyway. My husband was not up to speed on what the tech and I spoke about, so he paid and signed for the service. There was an obvious breakdown in communication from all parties involved. When I called to complain, the manager was very responsive. She indicated that the tech asked if he could speak with me directly, which I agreed to. Instead of having the civil conversation with the tech that I anticipated, I received a very lengthy voicemail from him stating all of the reasons why he was right and I was wrong while taking zero responsibility. I was not given an opportunity to discuss my truth with him. We felt very blind sighted and ripped off by this company. The other poor reviews do not surprise me one bit. I would absolutely not recommend them

They both did a great job inside and outside and showed us pictures all along the way of the work which needed to be done and when it was finished. Excellent workmanship.

It went very well. The A-1 team was very professional and treated my home as if it were theirs.

It was great. They came, they were very informative, and helpful. Not even just cleaning, I needed more work than that. They did a great job of thoroughly taking pictures of additional issues that I had and so that I could get more than just the cleaning done, and I can actually get the repairs done that I didn't know I needed done. They did the crown and the cap on the top of the chimney was rusting on the outside. They added that service in and it happened that my chimney didn't need cleaning so they added the $99 into the repair. I need something else done and am saving up for it and will be contacting them shortly. Their attention to informing the customer and taking the time to not only explain the issues but taking pictures and showing evidence of the issues and be there in terms of customer service. I think that was the best for me. They didn't operate in a vacuum. They were out and engaged with the customer providing real time updates on what they were seeing and giving options of what you could afford or afford over time to correct the issues.

The company scheduled an appointment with me promptly, contacted me to tell me when they would arrive. Tho' caught in traffic, they did show up and inspected everything. They diagnosed that I had animal debris in the chimney, as well as rust in the flue. In the end, it turned out quite expensive - $1100 of repairs, including a special "cap" on the chimney that will allow the air to flow better and keep out debris. While that does seem expensive, this is a 1978 home and I was not aware of any repair being done to the fireplace in that time. I did some quick internet research and the prices seemed pretty close in line with the industry. They had all the materials on their truck, gave me a detailed list of repairs, and, importantly, photos of all the before and after so I could see what was going on.
