Great. We have a very unique dryer vent set-up and they handled it well, Other Companies were puzzled and tap danced around doing the job properly.

Very Well, cleaned and refurbished my fireplace and went on roof and discovered I didn't have a storm collar on pipe from fireplace and furnace. My Association should take care of that. He actually cleaned my Dryer Vent, I thought was done preciously by someone else

They did a great job. They left no mess, the vacuum they use took all the dust out. The techs were nice, professional and explained the whole process before hand. They were in and out in about an hour. We will be calling them again next year for our annual clean.

The service went well. They are very good about cleaning up after themselves. I recommend them.

Mark was great at explaining everything and even provided a estimated timeline for suggested maintenance and future replacement. After an inspection of vents he suggested a dryer vent cleaning. I had been concerned about that, but I didn't know they did that too! After Mark and Mike left I felt comfortable knowing we could safely use our fireplaces in the coming cold months. Additionally I no longer worry about the efficiency or safety of my dryer! Thank you so much for being the type of company that cares about the customer. It was a pleasure doing business with Mark.

They came for a $99 review and ended up charging me $1200 to replace the caps and where the rust was on the chimney and paint it. And they said they needed to replace the embers. I had a slight gas leak and had a roofer come out. He said I was really ripped off. He took pictures and the manager is coming back out on the 13th to fix it. It was a $1200 job and they didn't even do half the things they said they were going to do. They did not repair everything they said they did. I had a new roof put on from another guy and he said I was way over charged.

They were excellent because they are all-encompassing. I wish I had used them originally, because they are the only ones I know that will work on my chimney because it's on top of the roof on a high-rise. I would definitely give them a super-high rating. They were very, very good. The price was a little high, but you know you're kind of held captive if their the only service provider in town that will actually fix it. Their responsiveness was excellent. I definitely would use them again.

They told my wife there were huge problems and put a certain amount of pressure on her to make a decision on fixing everything at a steep price right away. The dampener was not functioning properly and there was no chimney cap (we had just bought the house). There were also a few cracks here and there. My wife declined their expensive repair offer and I'm glad she did, because we did a little research and fixed everything by ourselves very easily.

One crew went on top of the chimney to inspect the fireplace while the second crew swept inside the fireplace pit (?). They found some cracks in the chimney, which they suggested to repair before using the fireplace for the potential fire hazard. They were courteous and professional. They gave us an estimate for the repair and would have cost 2k or more. Ultimately, we decided to wait on using our fireplace and get more estimates in the future.

Derrek and John were prompt, courteous and professional. Derrek explained what they needed to do and how long it would take. He told me the price and while I thought it was high, I needed the work done ASAP, and I felt the job would be done correctly which was important to me. I had coupons from Angie's List and A-1. Derrek said they didn't apply to the services I was getting but he would take $20 off the cleaning and $25 off the chimney cap for a first time customer discount. It wasn't until I had paid and A-1 had left that I realized Derrek accidentally added the bill up wrong, and I did not get the $25 discount. It was my fault for not verifying the math ahead of time, so I ended up paying $25 more than I was supposed to. It's too bad because the $25 off would have helped. Ultimately A-1 was able to come out sooner than the other company I called and they were very friendly and professional, and I can only assume the work was done correctly. I trust Angie's List and the reviews and I checked the BBB to make sure A-1 was accredited and there were no horribly negative reviews. I would call A-1 again.

Poorly. Technician could not provide a diagnosis, suggested replacing multiple items at astronomical prices. We rejected guess work and contacted another contractor. Work done and completed by this honest, reputable contractor. A-1 Safety Chimney Services quoted $821 for repair, with no guarantee this work would solve the problem. Offered to apply this payment to a replacement unit with a total cost of $4621. Quotes for this same unit installed as new, less than $2200. The same repairs quoted by A-1 for $821 (with no credit for service call, paid in advance through Angies list and shown on invoice for $36 less than paid) were completed for $298. Service call included in the price. This work, if contracted with Angie's list vendor would have cost us THREE TIMES AS MUCH. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING.

Very well ... first attempt on grouting needed followup. A1 came out and corrected without question or additional cost. Staff and crew were a pleasure to work with - very professional and friendly to boot!

Tried to upsell me about $3000 in repairs. All that was done was replace the chimney cap. Also, service provider warned about a gap between the flashing and the brick chimney, and he applied an unsightly amount of caulk from the top to bottom of our chimney along the siding. I would not recommend. Ended up paying $2000 for these two simple jobs.

I thought it was high so I’m going to get a second opinion is all I can say about that. The price was fair. What I saw looked okay. He really didn’t have no, there was no date. I don’t know if I would use them again. With their prices, I doubt it.

they were fantastic. Everything was thoroughly explained and photos taken to clearly show the before and after. We had a fireplace mishap with the house we used to live in. It costed tens of thousands of dollars and months to fix. A-1 has excellent workers and their maintenance can prevent such disasters.
