Could not have gone any better. The workers were professional, timely and neat.

Told them to leave. The price was ridiculous. They said I needed new chimney caps and wanted to charge $300.00 - $400.00 for each. I just replaced my roof and had the roofers bring down the chimney caps. They had a little rust on the top but were fine. I also found the same chimney caps for $100.00.

it went fine. It went okay. I ended up getting some additional work done just based on their recommendations. They replaced a piece in the roof they that keeps things from inside the chimney. They replaced that cause it was kind of worn. They also refinished my fireplace. They repainted it, the inside of it. They also put in some firestone. I can recall that they were really upsetting. They did a good job. They were really upsetting because they were really salesman like but they were also very good. They were also straightforward. I'm don't know. i don;t have to many chimney people come out. I'm not sure what the comparison points are but I thought they did a fine job.

It went very well, I felt the price was very reasonable for the work they needed to perform. They found additional work needed, but the pictures and detail built all the value I needed. At no time did I feel they were "upselling" to pat the bill.

Anthony and his assistant did a really fine job in cleaning, updating and replacing parts in our fireplace and in our cast-iron stove on the lower level. They were very efficient and thorough and replaced the "cap" on the vent on the roof as well to be sure birds and small animals do not drop into the ventilation pipe. Anthony and his assistant were very friendly, eager to serve, and efficient in all that they did. I really appreciate all that they did. It was a good service/repair visit for us. My only comment regarding it all is that they were here in the morning instead at the designated time in the afternoon. We were at a restaurant finishing breakfast and rushed a little to get back to our town house to accommodate their stop. This "bump-up" in time is quite rare but they said they were close after their previous job! It was a good thing actually all in all...

They took before and after pictures of our dryer vent. you could see how well they cleaned our dryer vent in the pictures. While on the rook, they checked our furnace and water heater vents. They found a hole in the caulking of our water heater vent that was letting water going into the vent hole. From the pictures we could see the hole. For a small extra fee they caulked and sprayed painted the rushed area. I would definitely have their service again.

Service was very good. Cleaned burners and painted inside the fireplaces. Needed to replace the burner valve on the upstairs unit.

We were led to believe that our water issue was from the chimney. We were told that the chimney liner was too large for our water heater and therefore causing condensation to form that was seeping through the chimney and drywall. A-1 said that putting in a new (correctly sized) liner would resolve this, on top of some more minor work like water proofing the chimney, putting new cap on, flashing repairs, etc. Because I was 7 months pregnant and because of serious health issues in our family, we wanted to find the fix and repair ASAP so that nothing impacted our children's health as far as further water damage resulting in more mold, so we decided to believe them and complete the suggested work. We then had all of the damaged drywall, insulation and mold removed by another company. Fast forward 3 months to first large rain storm and water came back. Called A-1 and was told that 99% of the time the issue is the roof, not the chimney and if you call a chimney company they are going to tell you it is a chimney issue. They sent the same guys out who confirmed that it was a roof issue and told us to call in roofers. So not only did we spend $4000 on work with this company that did not resolve our water issue like we were told it would, but now we have to redo the other work we had done to remove more drywall, etc (another $2000). We feel extremely taken advantage of. We feel like we were scammed and would never use this company again or suggest them to anyone. They have told us the work that they did was needed regardless, but that is not what we called them out for and regardless if it was needed or not, we were deceived into believing that it would resolve our water issue. They are very untrustworthy and looking to make a buck off of people who are desperate to get issues taken care of.

The forecast for the original work date suggested rain so I was told it couldn't be done for another week. However after realizing my timing dilemma the were able to the work on a Sunday morning. Derrek, the technician was on time and couldn't have been more courteous and professional. The work was excellent.

Well enough. Called well before arrival, and again shortly before. Arrived in the designated time slot. They took a picture of the inside of the chimney, and said it needed power cleaning, which would cost another $400. The picture was convincing. Also, I had on one occasion heard the sound of a chimney fire (a sound with which I am familiar) late last season, so I knew there might be burned-on soot. They got the chimney very clean (another photo) and did the job quickly. I do think the additional cost was somewhat excessive, as all that the additional work required was a 1/4 hp electric drill and a different set of rods and brushes. I assume some neglected chimneys require a lot more time, and that the price is determined on the maximum amount of time likely to be required. This is a reasonable practice, but I would appreciate it if they would mention the possibility and cost in advance. While we may hire them again, I will also continue to investigate other contractors for this work.

Very well. Professional work. Honest evaluations of work that needed to be done. I thought the crown sealing was overpriced, until they did the work and I saw what they had to do to do it. Now I think the price was reasonable.

Technicians were professional, friendly and detailed. They shared before/after pictures.

Techs arrived on time, did a very quick review of the chimney and declared that we had stage 3 glaze and would require a $545 cleaning. We purchased the $99 deal, so this was a significant increase in what we had expected. The tech was very polite in letting me know that they could continue the work that day or I could get a second opinion. I had a feeling that I was getting a bait and switch so I opted to get a second opinion. The second opinion declared that there was very, very minimal glaze in the chimney and that the basic cleaning service would be sufficient. The techs were firemen who do chimney cleaning on the side so I felt very comfortable that they were cleaning my chimney to a safe level and would have informed me if the deeper clean was required for safety (which is why A1 told me I needed it). I ended up paying $169 to have the chimney cleaned vs the upcharge $545 that A1 attempted to charge me

Great, in fact have used them twice. Repaired much needed cap on chimney. Last time also did cleaning of dryer vent and heater vent.
