It went great! Quick service and great people. They communicated well about what services they were performing and when they would be done with them. I would highly recommend them.

Nick took my call and arranged for a team of two plumbers to come out that very afternoon. He called around noon to confirm that they would arrive shortly. Mike and Jason were prompt and professional. They problem solved my situation, and as it turned out, I only needed to have my pipe routed. They followed by that using a camera to inspect the length of pipe to make sure there were no breaks and saved that file for future reference. I had great reviews from neighbors about Calumet City Plumbing, and I'm glad I followed their advice. This is a very professional operation, and I'm very happy with the results.

I contacted Calumet after a struggle with a previous contractor issued by Nicor Solutions was inept and totally unprofessional. Out of frustration and poor customer service I was suggested Calumet City Plumbing. They were prompt and responsive to my needs as I was without water for almost a week. Adam came out and explained the job and process clearly and competently. Within a few days they were on the job. Professional workers who took the time to correct the problem. The site boss, Michael was courteous and extremely knowledgeable. I will not hesitate to hire this company for any future plumbing issues.

It went very well. The repairman was on time and he got everything done quickly.

They were the bomb. It was $130 for the first hour and it was $108 after that first hour for every hour that they are here. He was here for an hour, not even a full hour. He was a very good guy. His name was Davis. The gentleman was polite. He listened. He took care of me. He asked questions. The price was a little pricey. Most definitely will use them again - Davis Bell only.

Calumet City Plumbing gave us a much less expensive option to replacing the whole main sewer line. They suggested we add a 6" access point outside, which would allow them to rod the sewer and clean it out well with a 6" but. Prior to this we could only rod with a 3" bit from the house. They were on time, did the work, and cleaned up. The price was exactly as quoted. They were so good that the only way you would even know they were here today would be if you happened to notice a white circle in our grass, which is the access pipe. Overall they were awesome to work with and we highly recommend them.

The service call was great and the company was very responsive throughout. I even gave them the lockbox code so they could go in when I was at work. Basically my stove installer did not remove a plug that was blocking the gas. The person came in and fixed it in less than 15 minutes, but charged me for the full hour. When I asked why, he said "I have been up since 7". (this was around 730). I felt that I overpaid, but my problem was solved. I do not think this was fair though, and will not use this company in the future.

Details: While the final quality of their work was OK and we were satisfied with it when it was completed, our recommendation comes with some suggestions and lessons learned from this job. The most surprising part was that they had to re-do the pitch of the soil pipes going out from our bathroom and kitchen three times to achieve the correct pitch for correct function. I was not expecting that they would be learning on this job with a standard Chicago bungalow. Things that they promised to do when we walked through the project (such as not throw away the old wash tub we wanted to use for our garden) didn't happen. So, we got a lot of the yeah-yeah-yeah during the planning, but some details we requested didn't happen in the project. We have one existing hole in the floor they said they would fill in but didn't. One worker complained to me that I had broken off loose concrete before one of the work holes was filled and re-cemented in the basement floor. Yes I did because it was loose and should have been removed initially. Overall, it took them a year to get to us after they quoted and we said yes. I stuck with them because they are a union shop and their reputation is good. They treated us as if this small residential job was a hassle and I heard more than once "we just have to get this job off of the books." It may be true with weather extremes, climate change and aging homes that a lot of homeowners are waiting with money in hand to do this kind of work . We were surprised that the wait was this long to begin a job. Perhaps if one is looking for quality work, then one does need to wait for the reputable companies to be available. In the end, they did deduct $200 for the time it took to re-do the pitch of the plumbing and finish the job correctly. They also reiterated that they stand behind their work and we received a thank you note with a scratch off lottery ticket in it, which was a nice touch. (We could have won the $ to pay for the job right there!) Yes, I would use them again but I would be more clear and demanding in my timeline and share with them the overall attitude and professionalism that I expect. They are a great, long-tenured local company that I personally want to know and work with.

First guy came and gave estimate, nice guy with a serious potty mouth. Not a big deal to me but I wouldnt condone such foul language from one of my employees. Different guy came to do the work. He was professional and nice. $300 for less than 2 hours of work seems a little steep but it was done well and hasnt leaked.

Jason was at our house within 1 hour of calling Calumet City Plumbing; and, within 2 hours he cleared every drain in our house. He was fast, thorough (he kept checking to see if clearing drains in one room would cause a blockage in a drain he had already cleared), courteous, and he cleaned before he left. He explained all of the charges to me and gave me tips on how to keep the drains clean. I HIGHLY recommend calling Calumet City Plumbing...and Jason!

CCP was very professional and prompt. Nick showed up on time for the estimate. He emailed it when he said he would. He answered all of my questions and emailed me with dates they'd be here to complete the work. The day before, CCP, called to confirm the time they were coming the next day. The workers showed up on time and introduced themselves. They completed the work in the 2 days they said they would. Nick came out the following day to meet with our city's plumbing inspector. All in all they were great and I'd recommend them.

The telephone receptionist was friendly and helpful and her over-the-phone estimate was accurate. Dave arrived on time, was polite and professional, and was able to complete the job in good time. They gave me a senior discount, which was another plus. I will definitely call them again when the need arises!

Overall great experience - they did not try to offer unnecessary services and were able to clear both drains quickly.

That went well. They came out and gave a good estimate, and finished with their work. I used them on my mother house in Chicago and she used them on summer of last year. She was pleased to get an estimate and hired them to do the work. They were on time, on budget, and everything works great. They were very honest that they keep up a plumbing problem was not an issue than it was. We thought that we will be spending thousands of dollars for a simple solution and that fixed about.

Went really well... David was very clear and thorough in explaining the situation causing the sump pump to constantly run after water is pumped out. David offered 2 options which was to replace the sump pump or repair the switch. David also noticed that the check valve was cracked and spraying water when sump pump runs. We chose to repair the switch and have the check valve replaced. The diagnostics and repair took just under an hour. Great Work!

The three man crew were prompt to arrive and were pretty efficient. All of the work took place outside of our home and included the removal of grass and sidewalks in order to gain access to the pipeline leading to the main sewer. Our front yard looked like a disaster but they warned us that that would be the case. The city inspector rated the work a B+ but I think he was trying not to puff up the crew's head because he approved the work. :). All in all we were happy with the quality of work.

The service was very good. They were very professional and I have no complaints!

I awoke to water in basement just before warning of floods form melting snow. Matt was fast and efficient in completing the task. I've had no problems since.

Provider was new to me. They responded the next day to my request. Arrived on time. immediately diagnosed my problem and de-clogged the ejector pump. The clerk over the phone had quoted a substantially higher cost based on my description. However, when they arrived and saw the problem they were able to correct it without requiring me to purchase a new unit. This saved me almost $300 - $400. The company also sent a thank you card to me afterwards as a new client which contained a small gift.

Water was draining extremely slow.The plumber arrived on time quickly assessed the problem and thoroughly explained what needed to be done to resolve the issue. He carefully disconnected the pipes under the sink and rodded it out. The blocked pipe was completely cleared. The plumber tested the suction several times to gauge the suction force. He then rodded it again and the suction improved to our mutual satisfaction. He installed the new hardware system, a pvc unit that fit much better than the old elbow and pipe system. The new system allows me to easily disconnect it to clean it out. He suggested I could check it periodically about every three months. He gave me an easily understandable lesson on how to disconnect the system clear it if need be and to reconnect it. He then asked for some paper towel and spray cleaner to clean the floor and the area under the sink. The plumber was an excellent craftsman that took pride in his work and resolving the problem correctly. He was professional, personable, and communicated well. He worked quickly and precisely finishing the job in less than an hour. I would recommend Calumet City Plumbing to others and will utilize their services again.

During a storm, my sump pump went out and my basement was flooding. I call Calumet Plumbing and someone came out right away. He got the sump working but it still wasn't draining. He got my wet vac with pump working properly and we started getting the water out. He then determined there was a stoppage in the sewer. He sent for a crew to rid the sewer of tree roots. They came out within the hour and cleared up everything. This was the second time I've needed a plumber and used Calumet Plumbing. I will not hesitate to use them again.

I had been calling them since Saturday and everytime I call the answering service picks up. This was very annoying because they answer the phone as if they are the actually company. I found this out the first time I called after speaking to the operator for 2-3 mins of giving her my info to have them call me back. She goes "Oh well they'll call you about that tomorrow this is just the answering service". After I wasted my breath giving my contact info & telling about the issue I need fixed. The next day I called again, I immediately asked if this was an answering service or the actual company. The operator said it was the answering service. I left another message. Mind you, I still had not received a call-back for the first message. I called again the next day & finally got someone I told her that everytime I've called I got the answering service, so it's good to be able to talk to someone that actually works there. She took my info & said the estimator will call me......but an estimator didnt call. Another woman named Kris called. She asked me what I issue I was having & needed fixed. I explained to her what it was. She then said she would send my info to the estimator & they would be giving me a call. She also had no ETA on when that would be. I still have not heard back from them. At this point I don't wanna hear back from them, I will not be going with this company. Whenever a company has this hard of a time just returning a call & coming out for an estimate. I more than likely will go through h*** getting the job completed after they take my money.

We are absolutely satisfied with our new water pressure in the shower and bath. We feel confident with Calumet City Plumbing and can see why they have stayed in business in this area since 1967.
