Mike, our salesperson was amazing. He was professional and extremely knowledgeable regarding all products we purchased. During out two projects, all of their professionals were on time, stayed until we were satisfied with the installation and came back for any touchup work needed. Additionally, the president of the company actually called me to see if I was satisfied with the work and product. I would highly recommend Next Door and Window without hesitation. They now have a showroom in Arlington Heights as well. Excellent quality with a good value for quality products.

Excellent workmanship and communication. Attention to detail, punctuality and high quality. Not inexpensive but highly recommended.

We had NEXT replace our front door last year. This year, we called them to replace our basement door, which was so bad you could see daylight through the cracks. You have to wait a few weeks for the door to be made, and it's a bit of a deal to get through the estimate in the first place (a nice, but chatty, sales rep), but installation is very quick and done well. We look forward to seeing how it performs next winter.

Could not be more pleased with the end result. Work was performed professionally. All areas were cleaned when the work was finished. Custom windows were ordered and arrived to their shop on the quoted timeline. They told me that install would likely take a total of 4 days, which I thought was on the optimistic side given how many windows there were and the fact that there was also masonry work. They finished in 3 days. It has now been about a year since the work was performed and we haven't had any problems. We just had them out to give us a quote on a new front door which we will be getting through them.

After researching replacement window companies (including using Angie's List), we decided to call Next Door and Windows for an estimate. The owner, Ron, came out in February for an estimate. His presentation was thorough but not high pressure. We chose Marvin windows and a patio door. After we signed the contract, we were kept informed of the progress of our order by the Project Manager, Nicole. Our windows were ready to be installed in mid-April. We set a date for the 2 day installation. The crew was on time and very professional. They used tarps to cover our floors. They cleaned up at the end of the day before they left for the day. They answered any questions we had as the work progressed. The windows and door were done in 2 days as promised. They did a great job. We would use them again.

We had replaced windows on the second and third floors a few years ago, and I was happy with the installer, but prices for Marvin windows had gone up so much that I felt I needed to shop around. I saw Next in our neighborhood, contacted them and spoke with Gary. Gary was the main reason we went with Next. He was so helpful and knowledgeable and always available when we needed him. He offered great suggestions and gave us a good discount for January installation, all of which made the project doable for approx. $1000 less than the best price that our previous installers could give us. That was a big savings considering all of the other projects we were doing in our new apt. He added replacement of our building door to our quote, so we got a high quality door for the building for a reasonable additional charge, which was comparable to other quotes I had gotten for a lower quality door. It was great to have the same company do both the apt. and building projects for us at the same time with the same high quality workmanship and materials. Plus, Gary spotted issues with two of our second floor windows and added repair of those items at no additional charge. He met with us at the showroom late in the evening after work and also came out to our apt. on short notice to meet with us after work. I really appreciated that. He followed up but never pressured us. I think he is a terrific sales person. Radek and his team did a great job with the window installation during the two days in February when the weather was finally nice enough to proceed with the work. Michael did a superb job with both the patio and back door. You can tell he has been installing doors for a long time and is a true expert. It was a pleasure working with everyone at Next. I would not hesitate to use them again for another building or apt. project.

The communication and the quality of their work is good. However, they are exclusive dealers for the Infinity brand of Marvin products, there is only one other dealer within 50 miles. Consequently, they push that brand heavily. The problem is the price they charge for that series of windows is outrageous! I ended up going with another Marvin dealer for the final phase of my window project and paid less than half of what Next Door quoted me. If you have to have the "Infinity Brand" of windows, they are your only option. If you question the price you will not hear from them again. Bottom line... if money is no object they will do a fine job. But if you don't want to overpay, get another quote, Marvin has plenty of excellent windows to choose from.

They seemed to be quite thorough with the entire process. They were knowledgeable folks and they took the time to make sure the job was done right. I had one callback and they were prompt and were able to address the callback. It was $18,000 for the windows and $12,000 for the doors.

We were just beginning to look at replacement windows for our 28 year old home. When we walked into Next, we really didn?t know what we were looking for, so we looked at all the different brands with Dan. He was very informative. We decided to have him come to our home (2/18) and give us a quote on Marvin and Pella. We knew from the internet that they both offered shades. We have seen the Pella blinds/shades, but not the Marvin shades since they are a new feature. Dan arrived on time, measured the five windows that we are replacing, and tried to answer all of our questions. He could not answer our questions on the Marvin shade since it is a new product, but got back to me with the answers in a couple days. We then decided that a roll-screen was the most important feature to us for the casement windows, with a shade being the second most important. We could accomplish both with Pella. We could do one or the other with Marvin. We had him price both windows, but only with roll-screens on Marvin. We received the quote at 5:00 on 2/21. There were 2 prices, 1 for Marvin and 1 for Pella - nothing was itemized. The quote for Marvin was $9,873.00 and the quote for Pella was $13,567.00. We have no idea what is included in these prices. We emailed back, ?Thanks for the proposal. Wow, that Pella estimate is high. And I like the Marvin windows ? wish they had the shades too. Lots to think about.? We answered their survey (from Michael Brown) on Dan and gave him high marks. But we also noted that we couldn?t understand why the quote for Pella was so high ($5,000 higher than any other Pella quote) and mentioned that nothing was itemized, so it was hard to compare apples to apples. We didn?t hear from anyone from Next until 3/5, when they (Kurt?) were asking if we had made a decision. Long story short, it turns out that they don?t handle Pella often because of the ?class-action lawsuit?. We were looking at the Designer Series, not the ProLine Series. We believe the quote was high to steer us to Marvin, or maybe they were trying to catch an unsuspecting customer? Just wish they had been honest upfront.

Like a dream. Picked out the door in the showroom. Factory matched paint on the interior of the windows. Installation was perfect and clean up was ideal. 100% satisfied.

Our experience with Next Door and Window was a really great experience. From the second they showed up to do an estimate to the minute it was completed they were professional and very responsive. All around it's a great company. I believe they are more expensive than the competitors, but when you are guaranteed to know that it's going to be done right and they'll fix anything that's done wrong for now charge it's completely worth it. I would definitely use them again in the future.

They did a great job, including replacing rotted wood at the threshold, building in the frame of the door. Their team was prompt, professional, and did a great job in communicating the status of the job from the time I placed the order through installation. Can recommend with confidence.

Arrived on time, did good work except put on wrong style interior trim. Came back 2 days later and made corrections.

The quality of the windows and installation was fine. It was the staining that NEXT did that was unprofessional. There were many blotches on most of the wood. The windows were installed in July and as of December 4, 2013, the problem has not been resolved. We had to constantly contact Next and just seem to get the run around with them. I would say that if you order anything from here, don't order real wood since they don't seem to have anyone one that knows how to work with pine and stain. If you do order wood, make sure you check the product before any installation takes place.

After Next Windows did not show up for a scheduled walk-through (and we had several staff members waiting to speak with them), I called them to follow up. Next Windows said they were cancelling the walk-through because they realized they likely could not provide the types of windows we needed, since we are a commercial client. Since we told Next from the beginning that we were a commercial client, Next should have stated they could not service us from the beginning. Therefore, the two incidents of poor service in this case were (1) Next scheduling a walk-through despite having been told that we were a commercial client and (2) no-showing on the walk-through without any notice to us. Terrible.

Mike Gleason came to my house, took all the measurements for the door, and discussed with me--at length--all the options. When he left he said he would send me the quote over the weekend. I heard nothing. I called and left a message, but got no response. Four days later I got one of those emails from Michael Brown asking if the rep was on time, etc. I replied that he was on time, but that I hadn't been able to get a quote from him. No response. Three days later I sent him another email asking if they had any intention of providing me a quote. Zilch. Having a salesman come into your home on a weekend is a necessary evil; having to go through that and then get no further response from the salesman is infuriating.

The experience was not great, it ended up being okay, but I probably won't go back to them. I actually complained and sent and email to the company, and I had the CEO at my house that night. There was a crooked window, and they came back and fixed it. There was also a window that was foggy, and they also fixed that without an extra charge. His customer service was good, and he did take care of me.

They were the best. They were on time. They did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves. They had great follow up as well.

They were punctual, cleaned up and the workers were friendly and cordial. You do not mind having them in your house.

We have used this company in the past to install 7 windows in our house. They always do a great job. The president of the company came to our house for both appointments. He was knowledgeable, and didn't try to get us with gimmicks. He was able to match our current trim color perfectly with a company that they work with. The door and window were a little expensive, but they do more work than other companies will. They don't just replace the glass, they take out the frame, reseal in the walls and start from scratch (new trim too!). So the price is more, but you are getting more for your money. The whole process was extremely smooth. The windows came in exactly when they said they would, the workmen showed up on time, and did a great job. They covered the floors so there was no damage. They cleaned up after themselves, and even washed the windows when done. Everything was done beautifully, and we have been very happy with the windows and door.

They did all the work in one day so we were not inconvenienced more than a day. Work was done by up to 3 or 4 people at a time. They took out the old doors with no harm to the surrounding walls. The doors were all expertly fitted into place with out a problem due to the measurements done by the person coming before the installers. Everything was as we ordered and we were very pleased with the products. They cleaned up completely after finishing the installations with no damage to our floors or walls.

Fabulous! Project was carried out as the project was explained to us. No surprises! They are precision craftsmen.

I thought I got the quality I was looking for. They were very professional, and on-time all the time. The workers cleaned everything up, and it was a really good experience.

My old patio doors were sticky and one side didn't operate at all. They were wood. I interviewed 3 companies and compared products and prices for this job. I chose Next because I was impressed with the quality of the product they provided---Marvin fiberglass doors is what I chose--and also with the professionalism of the company. I couldn't have been happier with my decision---everyone from the initial salesman to the measurer to the installers to the followup troubleshooter was outstanding. My doors came in earlier than they estimated, they were installed in one half of a day. The installers were exceedingly tidy--they vacuumed as they worked. I had a troublesome lower lock which they fixed within 2 days. I love my doors--they make outdoor entertaining a whole different experience. I would hire them again and recommend them whole heartedly.

We had to negotiate on the price but they were willing negotiators. They are just fabulous.
