Short version: WENT GREAT!!! We worked with Dan and his crew last year to get the MBR floor an tub area retiled, this was phase two, replacing the shower enclosure. As we experienced last time, Dan was prompt with his response to my inquiry, and came out to discuss and spec out what we wanted. We had a pretty good idea in general, but once again Dan provided invaluable input and suggestions on a number of issues that we had not considered. He was very patient with us as we took a couple of weeks to finalize the details we wanted (tile, design etc) but once we nailed it down he was prompt with a quoted. He also did an excellent job of scheduling our work within our constraints (we were gone for a week, and we had guests coming...he managed to get everything done before the guests came!). Once work started, Mike and his assistant were prompt every day and performed their miracle of making it all fit. As is typical of these kind of projects, there were a few issues encountered, all of which were overcome with great communication and innovation. They do an amazing job of protecting all the floors that they have to travel on from the entry door up the stairs and the entire bathroom floor. Mike even sweeps the floor protection each day at end of work, really a very impressive job. The results were spectacular, exceeded our expectations (thanks to Dan's ideas and Mike's skills). We could not be happier, and our guests agreed it turned out beautifully. We are once again very happy to have worked with Dan, Mike and the Quality Tile crew, and look forward to future projects with them.

I provided the tile and Quality Tiling installed it. The installation was very professional and Dan and Terry were excellent to work with. If you're looking for great craftmanship, professionalism and very personable contractors, this is the company for you.

Dan, the owner, was very helpful working with my schedule. He was patient and had good ideas and kept to the budget I gave him. Mike the tiler, Jim who did drywall and mudding, and the plumbers were very pleasant, clean and did a great job. I was also in need of a carpenter to replace three existing interior doors. Dan supplied me with a very good carpenter, Bob. I had ordered one door wrong and Bob very kindly took the time to meet me at Menards and help me with getting a new door and transported it back to my house for me. He also hung up a new mirror and towel bars for me too. I am very pleased with their work and the end result is beautiful. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again. Thank you Dan and the whole team for doing such a wonderful job!

Mr. Kavanaugh showed up on time and was very professional. We did not use him because his bid was too high and we went with someone else. We also did not like the fact that he provides his own tile. He showed up with about four samples for us to choose from. We prefer to shop for our own tile and look at dozens of different tiles and combinations of tile.

Installers were on time each day and kept us updated on the plan for each day. Each day the work was completed as planned out and the overall job was completed on time. They keep their work area neat and organized and cleaned up each day and at the end of the job. The tile looks great, I would recommend for future jobs.

I was finishing my basement and chose to tile about 2/3rds of it and had planned to carpet the rest. I hired a handy man to do the job. After seeing how the tile looked once the job had started, I asked the guy to go ahead and do the whole floor but he said that he couldn't do it because I should have let him know before the job started and he'd have to tile himself into a corner and it wasn't possible. The guy had other issues such as his tile saw breaking down and so he had to rent one and adding that to the bill. Anyway, that leads me to Kavanagh tiling. I contacted them to see if they could complete the job that the handyman wouldn't do. The same day that I contacted him he came out and gave me an estimate. He also inspected the other guys work and pointed out many issues. He gave me tips on grouting and as it turns out I had the wrong grout. When his installer (Mike) came out to lay the rest of the tile, he was very professional. He layed out drop cloths leading to the basement and was neat and professional. He not only fixed some tiles that I saw were unlevel, he also fixed 10 tiles that were loose. The previous installer also cut tiles to go around a couple door jams instead of cutting and installing the tile properly to go under the wood of the door jam so everything was flush and seemless. I cannot grade this company high enough. If you have a tile job ...HIRE THIS COMPANY!

nMy overall experience with Quality Tiling was wonderful from beginning to end. Starting with Julie, the office manager, who took my initial call. Julie was professional, courteous, and asked questions relevant to what I was planning to do, my time frame, budget, etc. Dan Kavanaugh, the owner, called me the next day, we set up an appointment to meet, discuss the scope of work, and look at materials and from here the "journey began". I received bids from three other contractors than Quality. After discussions and review of the bids, I chose Quality and not once regretted the decision. I was recently widowed and had sold my home of 28 years and bought this one. I have never been through a project of this proportion and was overwhelmed. Dan explained what they would do, how they would do it, cost, possible issues that might come up and resolutions. During the demo and installation, I came to know Dan's crew, particularly, Mike and Terry who were wonderful. Always courteous, helpful,and answered any questions I had. Their work was meticulous and it was obvious they enjoyed what they did and who they did it for. They were respectful of the house and left it each night clean and orderly. Dan was always available to answer any questions I had, pointed out things that might be an issue, and referred me to a plumber and carpenter who I used in other facets of the project (installation of kitchen cabinets, a custom fireplace surround and mantel). Both contractors were great and I will not hesitate to use them for any future work or refer them. Although other contractors were involved and Dan was responsible for the tiling, he made sure that everyone and everything was coordinated. He was helpful to me in picking out tile, concerned about grout color, coordination, my satisfaction of his company's work and that of the contractors he referred. During the project, one of the ceramic tiles on the outside of the shower chipped. Dan told me about this and went to a number of places to find a replacement tile which matched. Even after the project was completed, Dan texted to find out if I had resolved an issue of moving a ceiling fixture. The electrician I had scheduled to do the work got sick and once again Dan gave me the names of some people to call and he even called one himself. I guess the best recommendation I can give is the reaction of people who have been to the house and have commented on how nice the house is and how beautiful the floors look. It's especially gratifying hearing from people who saw the "before and after" . It truly is a different house and I am extremely happy and grateful. Quality is truly a fitting name. The staff, their work, materials, honesty, dependability are nothing less than QUALITY.

From initial contact to final cleanup, the entire Kavanagh Quality Tiling team were professional, pleasant to work with, patient with our schedules, very meticulous in their work. Owner Dan Kavanagh walked us through the whole process, from initial discussion of the project through tile selection, then scheduling the actual work in the house. Every step went very well. Dan's guidance and suggestions were very helpful in us getting to a final decision on design. Once that was settled (and we were the ones slowing that process down), the work got scheduled and was done on schedule. They first protected our floors from the front door up the stairs and all the way into the bath with plastic, and they managed to do the whole project with no mess outside the bath (and the bath area was cleaned up each day before they left). Once they started they worked long days to get it done, and Mike and Terry the installers were very meticulous and careful in what they did. The final result was really outstanding, we could not be happier. We will certainly be working with them again for any future floor or tile needs, and can recommend them with out any reservations. Dio, the owner was meticulous from the start making sure measurements were accurate & asked many questions assassination making the best decision in selection of materials. His installers were prompt, polite and unbelievably professional. I have had many compliments on the beautiful backslash that was installed. I will definitely call Quality Tilling in the future.

Dan Kavanagh was very thorough in reviewing scope and materials in advance of work. His installer, Mike, was excellent, always on time, very efficient, and high quality job.
