Sears Carpet Cleaning & Air Duct Cleaning

We opted for Sears' $95 offer for 3 rooms carpet cleaning. But then the add on charges came after the cleaning, extra for the hall and for stain removal brought the total to $149. I asked for the manager to call me. He never did. This is classic bait and switch. Public be warned.

After chasing the "executives from the Sear corporate", with ZERO response, I have no choice but to write the following review: A. Work was well defined including scope and price! this is not the first time Sears cleaned the vents in my house B. when the team arrived, they have LIED to the tenant saying that Sears had never cleaned the house before and that it is in terrible condition C. They manipulated the tenant ot buy a new Titanium filter that will save the house for ever! No one contacted me as an owner to approve the new buy in spite of me making the reservation and paying for it! D. Apparently, the sears team is out there not only to clean the house BUT to Sell you more things that you may and may not need! E. after the fact I had to chase their local operations manager and his Corporate manager, which didn't respond to me AT ALL after leaving three messages

It was very clean. There were two or three people. It took a half hour.

The carpet cleaning was fine. However, the cleaners did not put any type of protector/plastic under the feet of the furniture. The feet of the dining room table left rust marks on the carpeting that cannot be removed. In my customer review I told them but they did not offer to come back and try to remove the stains.

Terrible. Worst service ever. Quoted me a rate of $160. When they came out I was told it would cost me$304. Classic bait and switch. After they left I spent 30 minutes mopping up muddy footprints on my wood floors. When I tried to walk on the carpet to get into bed it was like walking on a wet sponge. We were afraid the underpayment would rot or mildew. I had to use my Hoover steam vac to get up the excess water. I sucked up two full buckets of filthy dirty water from the carpeting. I found several stains they missed and used spot shot to get those out. This all took about an hour. The next day I went outside to find a frozen puddle of water with blue fuzz in it in the middle of my driveway where they dumped their cleaning equipment.

They didn’t get all of the stuff out. We eventually get together. I don’t have any problems with those guys.

Never do business with Sears I I had my air vents cleaned twice. Because they missed a clump of a lot of dust the first time. . The second time they came to take the clump of dust they up sold me air home air purifier which ruined my my air conditioner systey, because they drilled where the anti freeze is ; and it all poured out damaging my basement floor. Sears fixed that. But my air ducts look like fur is growing out of them. So I called again , Sears came out and saw the build of fur of dust . Sears took pictures of all the build up, which looked llike fur, after cleaning it twice supposbly. They said my home is very clean and could not explain Why I had so much dust in my vents. Except to say just some homes have more dust than others in their vents! They would not come back and fix the problem, nor did they care.

My dog tends to drool when she's upset, so it was all over the house. They did a really great job on the hallway, which is heavily trafficked. They also cleaned four pieces of furniture--a sofa and three upholstered chairs. They deodorized the rugs as well. They showed up on time; they did an excellent job.

I have used him twice and each time I was pleased. They were professional. A lot of it my property manager took care of. I only got the pictures. They are easy to work with. I am in Mississippi and they are in Illinois and they are able to email me the receipt and talk to me over the phone and figure things out with the property manager but also provide me with the documentation that I needed. I did call around. They have better prices than a lot of people out there. They finished the job the day they were supposed to.

They were pretty good. They did a good job.

I had good experience with them. I use them year after year. They are prompt, neat and clean. By the look of the carpets you can tell that they have been cleaned very well.

They were fantastic. They come exactly when they said they were going to. They were extremely professional and thorough and they were reasonably priced.

I felt overcharged...they needed to return, a second time, to put the venting screen on correctly. I refused to pay for this trip. I disliked that my vacuum needed to be used! This means they were unprepared; I was informed that they would bring their own equipment. I would NOT use them again...they left messy lint and dog hair from two Golden Retrievers on the floor. YUCK. Perhaps, their grade should be lowered to a 'D.'

They did good job. Unfortunately not all stains came out.

Both services were performed well. They came within the appointment time window and the services were done promptly. We would use them again.

They changed the heating coils in the dryer. They said that they dryer was not drying properly. Even after that he said normally some steam would come out and so we needed to clean the vent. He was able to answer every question I asked him. He answered me and told me what he was up to. We were pretty satisfied with what he did. I definitely recommend them. The professionalism was pretty good and they were able to answer our questions. They did the job perfectly for me.

I am not happy with work performed. I wanted two bedrooms and an area rug cleaned as well as a set of stairs. I moved some of the furniture my self and moved the area rug to the garage so that the cleaning process would not damage my laminate floor. I asked the technician if he moves furniture and was told that the only thing he wouldn't move is dressers with mirrors. I have none. I asked if he needed help moving the furniture and he said no. In the master bedroom the carpet was dry under the bed, the furniture in the second bedroom was not moved at all. The stairs were only wet down the center, not on the edges. The area rug never was completed because something broke on his truck and he spent 45 minutes trying to get it to work. He told me he wouldn't charge for the third area and never offered to come back to finish the area or have someone else come back to do it. Now I have an area rug sitting in the garage undone. I will never use Sears carpet cleaning service again.

The price was very reasonable. They were rated highly by other people, and the price was right, so I used them.

They are great. They are quick and do a very good job. I use them once a year. I haven’t called them yet this time. I would be calling them anytime. They are always prompt. I’ve recommended them to others. I spent $629.04 for the carpets and the upholstery. It ranges from $120 to $150 to just do the carpets.

Overall I would rate this experience a 10. The price cant be beat! 5 rooms for $129, 1 free protected area. With tax the total came to $138.

They were punctual, efficient and thorough. We also were given helpful advice about allergens. They were responsive and their price was very reasonable. We will be using them again.

This was my in-laws unit which was empty except for some large furniture. They were cleaning another unit first. I asked if they could call me when they arrived since I am 10 minutes away. They called at 7:50AM, I was expecting a call around 10AM, so this was my wakeup call. I stopped for coffee on the way and was there 25 minutes later. They knocked on the door seconds later. Since this was a 3rd floor unit, it took them about 20 minutes to set up. They dropped the hoses from the balcony to their truck. They didn't use the water in the condo or the electric. The cleaning took an hour and they went over areas at least twice. Theador and Howard were pleasant and we had a nice conversion during the course of the cleaning.

Everything looked great until the carpet dried. Then the stains showed up again. And the small additional fee for a five foot by six foot carpet that did not improve at all by cleaning was 25% of the original estimate.

Terrible service, unqualified carpet cleaner.
