 + 4 moreThey came out the first day and demolished the bathroom and removed drywall and wet insulation. That went reasonably well. The walls were still wet, but they started to re-install the insulation anyway. We let it sit overnight to dry. Insulation was then installed, but no visqueen was thought to be needed. Not true, it does, especially in a bathroom. I didn't think they needed me to tell them that, but surprisingly I did. Then they went ahead and tried to install the tile on the shower wall. They did a very poor job of cutting the tile edges, resulting in a sharp, unfinished edge to our tile. When we challenged them on this, they became irritable and unwilling to rectify the situation. Lastly, they painted. Apparently they did not prep the walls properly, because the paint is now pealing away from the wall. It turns out that they do not used licensed contractors to do their work. If I had more room, I would go on, but needless to say, Giertsen did not perform to our expectations.
Description of Work: As a result of a burst water pipe, wet drywall and insulation had to be removed and re-installed. This required them to demolish almost the entire bathroom. They had to reinstall insulation, drywall, tile, and perform some plumbing and carpentry work.
