Description of Work: I purchased the voucher and received a call from the provider. I told him the electric problem I had was with an outdoor light. He said to call Angies List for a refund, because he didn't want to do outdoor work.

Description of Work: He did not show up. When I called, he said he was wrapping up and would be there at a different time. Again, he did not show up. I called him. He said what am I worrying about, we are in communication. He NEVER called to say that he would be late. That's all I asked. I took a day off of work, and he does not have the courtesy to call. This guy's bad news. I would not recommend him.

Description of Work: It was just an electric inspection report, he gave me estimate of all the work that needed to be done. That is all I have used him for, have not had any of the work updated.

Description of Work: Installed outdoor electrical outlet. It went fine, very professional installation. Took a bit longer than I expected, but no issues.

Description of Work: correctly ground the metal junction box. He added a metal connector to existing bx cable.

Description of Work: Scott called ahead and let me know when he would arrive. Things went well, I have an older home that is full of surprises. Scott got things to work properly and safely, I am very pleased. Will definitely use him again in the future. |

Description of Work: Serviceman had to give us a date well into the future since he had so many Angie List jobs lined up, but he showed up exactly on the date we had set. |He installed a new light fixture on the ceiling of our front porch. He installed one new smoke alarm and repaired another. He installed a porcelain light fixture in our basement ceiling. He changed a regular light switch to a dimmer switch in our living room. Everything I hoped to get done was done. We were very pleased.

Description of Work: I have used Scott Stockwell for over 20 years --he has installed every ceiling fan, light, dimmer and outlet that I have needed in my home. He is terrific, always on time, always gets the job done. He and his son have also done painting and light remodel for me and there too the quality of his work is terrific.

Description of Work: Replaced two thermostats for low voltage lights.

Description of Work: Replaced two low voltage transformers for recessed ceiling lights. In removing one fixture some ceiling plaster broke loose. Scott fixed it with joint compound that he had brought along. Also did electrical trouble shooting on the steam shower. The electrical side of the steam shower was OK. Would definitely use again.

Description of Work: Replaced an outlet, tested, educated us on why the outlet malfunctioned.

Description of Work: I used Stockwell Electric to replace some ballasts for my office. Despite some issues with scheduling that were entirely my fault, Scott showed up on time to replace the ballasts. He was professional in a no-nonsense, straight forward manner. Some would say that he was a bit gruff but that did not bother me. He replaced the ballast in one fixture and then informed me the ballast in the second fixture was fine. The bulb was not properly seated. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. What else can you ask for?

Description of Work: Was not able to schedule service until 2 months out.

Description of Work: Unfortunately no work was done. |Work was requested but he said he couldn't do any of it because he did not have the required parts. He did say if we got the parts he could do the work at an additional price. Prior to printing this I would appreciate it if you would let us know if we could have our money returned based on no work being done.

Description of Work: Had an electrician for 2 hours, he came went right to work, installed a new light, added a light to an existing fan, and changed a couple switches. Great speedy job.

Description of Work: Had dead outlets, and he was able to find the problem and fix.
