Stockwell Electric

My husband and I found electric for sconces in our living room and went to a lighting store and purchased the fixtures. We asked if they could recommend someone to do the job, they gave us Scott's number. I called and Scott set up an appointment within a week, came out on time, installed the fixtures along with dimmers for the lights. He was friendly and did a great job at a reasonable price, cleaned up everything and was done in a timely manner. I have some other work I would like done and I'm going to call Scott back to do the work.

He replaced 5 breakers, a light in the bathroom, a ceiling fan and replaced a broken bulb on the front porch.

I called a couple of electricians. Stockwell returned by call, quoted the job and showed up on time. No surprises. Highly recommend.

Received a prompt return call from Scott Stockwell. Service was performed three days later. Called before he came. Very neat and knowledgeable. Ran in to a problem with a piece included in the light set I purchased. Was able to work out a solution.

Great! We had some scheduling problems at first, but that had to do with a job he had and my schedule. But, he was flexible in scheduling the job and did what he could to start as soon as possible. He suggested that I purchase the supplies (light switches and outlets) before he came out, which saved us money for he did not need to go out and get them. However, I did not purchase the right ceiling and light switch, but he called the local hardware store and went to pick it up and he gave us the receipt. He did not mark the cost up on the correct switch. Overall, we were very satisfied with his work and would recommend him to others.

Great work! Scott called me back within an hour and was able to come out the next day. He was always on time and cleaned up before he left. He always described what he was doing (and why) and recommended several options for us to choose from. Pricing was what we expected for this type of work. We'll use Scott for future lighting work.

Scott did a good job. He called back very quickly to set up an appointment, and was able to come out in a couple of days. He took care of the easy tasks quickly, and then got to work trouble shooting the BX cable issue. It was a tough problem, but he devised a good solution and got the job done. He left everything neat and was polite.

Scott was wonderful. He was able to quickly schedule to come out to perform the work and was prompt and friendly. The work was done as specified. We would definitely hire him again.

Scott called within a couple of hours. He was booked for the next week and unable to help with our emergency service, he was very helpful, recommended someone else, and suggested what the problem might be. I really appreciated that and would use Stockwell Electric in the future.

Scott did the work in three visits because of time and the need to purchase additional materials. We found Scott to be very courteous and friendly. He arrived when he said he would, went to the hardware store for the extra materials he needed and completed the work, leaving the work areas clean.

Scott did an excellent job overall. The bid was the best of 3 we received, and the lowest of those willing to make a flat bid by about 15-20%(instead of hourly, with an unknown upper limit.) There was about a one week wait since he does all the work himself or with an assistant, but that was not a problem in our case. Scott and another electrician came in, did one full day of work, didn't quite finish by the end of the day, and then Scott came back at an agreed upon time to spend another hour and finish the smaller parts of the wiring job. All wiring was professionally done, looks up to the standards we expected (we ran baseboard lines, so it is visible, but that was fine for the office environment and we could have chosen other options) and is working fine a week+ later. I would highly recommend him to others.

Scott showed up on time and explained the work. He was very knowledgeable.

Scott came at odd hours when he was really swamped with work, including on a Sunday, in order to finish the job. He always returned telephone calls. He's pleasant and personable and, all in all, jobs that we'd been putting off were finally done exceptionally nicely, dependably, and professionally.

Gave estimate over the phone. Date was set up. Work was completed for price estimated. Scott is a dog friendly person. He was considerate about not tracking in dirt and left space like he found it.

Scott had previously come out and installed an electric line for a dishwasher in my kitchen. The line was run in the back of the cabinet, but I didn't have the cabinet drawers available for Scott to check the fit, when he installed the line and, as it turned out, the line prevented the drawer from closing fully. Scott gladly came back out and corrected the problem. Scott, as always, was friendly and professional.

Great. Prompt call back, estimate accurate and reasonable, arrived promptly, and was courteous and thorough.

Scott was very prompt in returning my call. He arrived right on time. He fixed my light. I also mentioned to him that I wanted my front door bell to ring on my second floor because I can not hear it on the second floor. He suggested installing a wireless door bell extension. I bought one an it works great.

Scott returned our call w/in 24 hours, scheduling our work about 10 days out. He apologetically rescheduled for a few days later when other work intervened. He arrived on time and was quick, courteous, and professional. He did great work on our 80-year old home. His first task was going to be the replacement of a fluorescent ceiling light, but he quickly found the problem to be the switch, rather than the light, allowing us to choose the cheaper option of fixing the switch and keeping the light. He next replaced the living room ceiling light and, in the process, installed 3-way switches and wiring. Although it was cold outside (and in the attic), he willingly squeezed up into a small attic entryway to fix the wiring to complete that job and to fix the wiring to an adjacent bedroom. He quickly completed 4 other small electrical tasks, adjusting his plans so that my wife could conduct a tutoring session in a room he'd just been in. He cleaned up the area as he did each task.

Called Scott and he promptly returned the call and set up an appointment. Arrived on time and worked quickly and cleanly. He made a few suggestions and helped decide on which fixture to install (I had bought two). Will definitely call on him again.

Scott had lots of good ideas and energy. He spent a day at our house wiring the new basement sports room and completing some less that exciting necessary tasks, like installing exterior outlets for X-mas lights, etc.

Stockwell did exceptional work. He showed up on time, billed me for the amount quoted, and even returned to adjust the rims of the lights so they sat flush against the ceiling. I'd use him again in a minute.

Scott was great. He showed up a few minutes early; we'd given him incorrect specs on what we needed installed, but he figured out our mistake quickly and ran out to get additional supplies. One of the outlets in our basement was incorrectly grounded, and he went ahead and corrected that. He had estimated $350 for the work, and even though he had to run out due to our mistake, and he did some extra work, our final total was $250. We'll be using Scott for any electrical work we need.

Scott was on time (actually, he phoned and asked if he could come a few minutes early), completed the work on the low side of his estimate, and everything works satisfactorily. Very professional, couldn't ask for a better experience. Will definitely have Scott do some outside work in the spring.

SCOTT RANG AHEAD OF TIME TO INFORM ME HE WAS DELAYED IN TRAFFIC AND WOULD BE A FEW MINUTES LATE. HE PERFORMED THE WORK TO A HIGH STANDARD AND CLEANED UP AFTERWARDS. HE GAVE A LOT OF HELPFUL ADVICE AND ASKED FOR INPUT WHEN NEEDED. HE ALSO REPAIRED A FAULTY SOCKET AND DID NOT CHARGE FOR IT. OVERALL I WAS DELIGHTED WITH THE WORK, ATTITUDE, AND HELPFUL ADVICE. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND SCOTT.
