He had to chisel through two layers of mesh reinforced plaster plus three inches of cement. In addition he had to bypass several obstructions in the ceiling and wall down to the wall switch. During the installation Scotty had to stop and go back home for additional heavy duty equipment to finish the job. Although all the furniture in the room was covered with plastic there was a considerable amount dust and plaster chunks. When he finally finished he applied two coats of rough plaster in the openings so the painter could add finishing plaster before he could paint the walls and wood work. While the job cost twice as much as the original estimate it was worth it many times over. The results were awesome. Before leaving Scotty and I discuss additional work for the near future This was the second time I used him for our electrical work. When through he swept and vacummed all the debris. He is patient, digilent and a carefull worker. I would recommend him highly.

Very professional. Advised me on some things to keep an eye on electrically wise.Only charged a minimal fee for parts for instlling dimmers and updated electrical circuits.

Always terrific and he makes very good suggestions, let's us know what's out there that we may not be aware of.

Job well done, took a bit luck and on the feet thinking on how to get a power line into the closet, but Scott (?) did it and did it well.

The gentleman was friendly and respectful and he explained everything in detail. He provided us with two different options on how to resolve our issue. The work was completed as promised and the price was right as well. Would definitely use him again.

I found Scotty to be most professional and knowledgeable. While the coupon was for two hours, the work took longer with additional parts. I was very satisfied with his work and thought the fee reasonable. He was very patient answering all my questions without reserve. I will certainly use his services again and would not hesitate to recommend him.

II It went very well. He responded promptly and arrived right on time. He did his work promptly and neatly.

It went great. He arrived on time, took off his outside shoes and wore clean shoes in my house (a big plus for me). He's familiar with wiring in an old house and figured out the problem with my ceiling fan- which was bad wiring. He fixed the problem and was able to install the ceiling fan - and because of the old wiring it was definitively something an electrician needed to do. He explained what he was going to do before he did it and if there were two choices explained them both before proceeding. The entire job lasted three hours, so the money I spent ($99 for the deal, $65 for the extra hour & $20 for some parts) was well-spent. I'd hire Scott again in an instant and probably will again when I need more work done.

Scott was fantastic. He was on time, got the job done quickly and efficiently. During the work above, he found a serious problem that had gone undetected and said he had to fix it; couldn't leave it unsafe and it just took a few minutes. He also helped me out by doing a non-electric job so I wouldn’t have to call in another repair person. If you have Section 8 (CHAC) tenants, he is the man to call for the electrical work. He understands CHAC's annual inspections and he can do the repairs needed to pass inspection. I highly recommend him!

It went very well. In order to connect up the upstairs outlet, Scott had to run new conduit from a basement junction box to the breaker panel box. He installed a new 20A breaker, and then tested it. The powder room outlet was a bit simpler: Scott explained that the outlet box wires had been pulled from the light fixture, so the new GFI outlet would be switched (from the powder room wall switch); I agreed to this, as it was faster and easier than pulling new wires up and over from the switch, which would have involved a lot of drilling, conduit bending, etc. I followed Scott's recommendation and went for the faster method. Scott finished up in two hours (including a trip to the local hardware store for the breaker). He was very fast, neat and professional.

I had called Stockwell electric to get an estimate on work and a quick visit to repair a lighting switch right before the holidays. Although he was booked at another job, he called me back and walked me through a checklist of potential issues. Once we had gone through that, I felt comfortable enough to attempt to fix the issue myself. He offered to come out later that day to check my work and see if there were any other issues. I was very happy with our conversations and will definately call him out in the future for anything above my experience level.

The work went on very well. The owner and the main person did the work. They were very professional and very thorough. They did a clean job. They did all that they said that they would do. The overall work looks very nice. They also suggested effective way of placing lights and that was very good. I would rate them high overall. I would use them again in the future.

We live in a fairly new home, but the electricity in our area is sketchy. We get power surges often. As a result, we have lost a large screen tv and recently the computer board on our refrigerator was fried. We had similar issues in a previous home and had installed a whole house surge protector. I contacted Stockwell Electric and several other electricians to recommend a product and also to complete some other electrical projects Scott was very professional,prompt and responsive throughout. He was knowledgeable and practical and even did some research into a product that is normally used in commercial applications. His input was very helpful in my consideration of that product. The bid was competitive and the work was completed as outlined. I am very happy with the results! Thanks Scott!

We got estimates from two or three people and decided to use Stockwell Electric. He was very professional and knew what he was talking about. We liked his know-how. He was punctual and did the work when he said he would. He also cleaned up after himself. We really appreciated it. When the inspector came to check he said he had not seen such excellent work in a long time. We're really happy and satisfied with his work.

I think I got more than I paid for. He was here 3 times and one of those times he had to go out to get compound. He was careful that he didn't chip the paint or make a mess. I certainly would hire him again.

Scott has down done electrical work for me in the past. Based on his prior work which I was completely satisfied with I called Scott to come out and replace the dining room chandelier and several electrical recepticals. i called Scott late on a Friday afternoon and, quite frankly, was not expecting a return call until the following Monday. As Scott has done in the past he returned my call within approximately one hour. I told Scott what needed to be done. He said that he could come out the following Tuesday at approximately 9:00am. I did not discuss costs with Scott as he has always been reasonable with past work performed. As Scott promised, he rang the doorbell at 9:00am the following Tuesday. I might add that Scott is a very friendly person and will talk with you when the job permits. He is very careful to explain how something will work and will ask you if what he is doing is to your satisfaction. I guarantee you will find Scott a competent and very pleasent person. As for the price, Scott was right in the ball park. And the work was completed to my satisfaction. The bottom line is you will not go wrong with Scott (Stockwell Electric.) You will get a friendly person who knows what he is doing, and will do a great job for a fair price.

He came on time with very little advance notice. He was friendly and professional. He was knowedgeable. He replaced and repositioned a socket for a light fixture and purchased heavy duty bulbs for us. He gave an estimate and information about installing 6 flourescent lights.

He really went above and beyond. He was so thorough in making sure that everything was safe; he discovered some strange wiring issues that we had. It felt like if my dad was an electrician and he looked at my house, that was the kind of care that he brought to the job. He did a phenomenal amount of work.

He was wonderful and such a gentleman. He was a pleasure to have in the house. He also did a good job of cleaning up after himself and was a very nice man to have a around. He did a fine job.

Nothing to tell, they did not respond

He is upfront and very honest. He will give a quote by the job or by the hour. He is a licensed electrician, but will do handyman work, including carpentry. He is on time and cleans up well when he is finished.

Wow! What can I say? These guys are terrific! Not only were they punctual, pleasant, professional and clean, they do really great work. They have great follow up, actually took the time to call and make sure we were happy with everything even before the final bill. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I was very happy with this company.

They called back right away, but I ended up not choosing them since they did not seem to be sure of what they would do.
