Stockwell Electric

After having a no-show by another electrician, I decided to use Mr. Stockwell. He was able to come within a week which was fine. He was courteous enough to phone to let me know he was on his way. We needed some parts and he was kind enough to draw out exactly what I needed. He completed everything in a timely manner and even patched up part of the wall for which he had to open to change the location of the switch. Was extremely pleased with his work and will use his services again.

In general, we have had Scott Stockwell do a number of things for us since first hiring him. We have an old house with too many little electrical issues. He was able to solve one that several electricians could not solve after hours of looking. We feel lucky that he found it because the situation could have been dangerous to us. I can recommend him very highly as he is very knowledgeable, does quality work, and is nice to do business with.

Scott went above and beyond in helping me with my project. When I described my problem, he told me it was probably just a burnt out switch. I told him I thought I could probably do that myself and he said "Great! Call me if you need help and I'll talk you through it." I didn't think I'd need it, but once I got into the wiring, it wasn't what I expected. I called Scott and he listened to my description and immediately talked me through it. It worked! Without Scott's help, I would have been dead in the water. I won't hesitate to call him for my more complicated electrical needs.

Scott showed up promptly and performed these services. He was honest and knowledgeable. I am using him for other projects such as ceiling fan installs.

We found out about Stockwell Electric through Angie’s list and purchased a coupon for two hours of electrical service. Mr Stockwell actually came out to the house twice, but did not charge me for the first visit (he was unable to perform the desired work at the time due to issues outside of his control with our house). On his second visit, he installed two light fixtures, one of which I had read in reviews was notoriously difficult to install, even for a professional electrician, but he did it with ease! Mr. Stockwell is prompt, professional, and friendly. We highly recommend his services, and will be calling ourselves if another electrical need arises.

Traffic delayed the start time and Scott graciously called and let me know he was running a little late. He arrived and came to my apartment and immediately suggested that he needed tools to do the project. That seemed a little odd to me and something that should be assumed. As he removed the light fixture of the first light, the bulb was broken. Although he swept up much of the broken pieces, I still needed to vacuum the surrounding areas. Additionally, he needed to return to his vehicle a few additional times. He was very attentive to details and through, my only complaints were that there was a lot of extra time used going back and forth to the car and I had requested that he not apply the crystals to the chandelier because I haven't located all of the pieces since my move and I wanted to clean them before they're reapplied. I had to mention this a couple of times before he finally stopped picking up the random pieces lying around my apartment and trying to attach them. Although I would not use Stockwell in the future, I would not dissuade others from using them.

Scott called to say he was running late which i expected since it was a long drive in rush hour traffic. found problem right away. it was a bad air conditioning cord. gave me the name of an old time hardware store who could possibly set me up with somebody to change the cord. it is an old a/c unit. checked all outlets and changed bad units. no charge. saw i needed gfi's in kitchen. didn't have any with so he drove to store to get some. replaced units, at cost of gfi's only and they were on sale at that. adjusted shaking ceiling fan best as he could. gave me a few more suggestions about oversized switch covers. i will use Scott again and recommend him to my friends.

Scott completed the work as promised for the price quoted. Given the age of my home, I knew unexpected problems might arise, but the whole process went smoothly. I felt bad that he had to spend so much time in my attic in the heat, but did a great job. He asked questions along the way and showed me all of the work he did once he was finished.

He was responsive in scheduling the appointment and was able to come out only two days later. He arrived early and was done early. The ceiling fan works great and he even took the time to show me how to use it and change some of the settings if I wanted to later on. Would definitely use him again for electrical needs because he seems very knowledgeable and was very professional.

He did a great job and I am very happy with his work.

He got there when he said he would. I thought he was down-to-earth and honest. I had thought that another fan was broken, but he got it working in 2 minutes. He could have charged me to install another one, but he was honest and got it going perfectly again. I also noticed later that I had left some cash sitting out on the bedside table. It was still there, so I feel he was even more honest! I had my 4 kids and my nephew running around (which might unnerve anyone!), and he didn't skip a beat. I had a very positive experience with him and would use him again.

We found Stockwell Electric due to good reviews from Angie's List. My tenant contact Scott. Scott was very friendly and professional. He explained every detail and gave good advice.

It was a Big Deal that I purchased. It was $75 for 2 hours of electrical work which wasn't bad at all. I would definitely recommend them. Scott was the one that came out. He was super-fast and super-efficient. He went over everything really well. It was a great experience. I don't know the regular rates but the price couldn't be beat. He cleaned up afterwards and I had no complaints. I left a voicemail and he got back to me later that day. We set up an appointment a little bit in the future because it was around Memorial Day. He was actually early for the appointment. He thoroughly explained what he was going to do. He had to make a little bit bigger hole and he explained what he wanted to do. He was very thorough. I would definitely use him again.

Mr. Stockwell arrived promptly at the appointed time. He was extremely professional and pleasant. We had no electricity to one room of the house and he traced the electric wires for a fault and replaced the fuse. He was super nice, especially because we mistakenly told him we were sure the fuses were not blown and he had to go in our crawl space. Turned out we were wrong and one of the fuses was blown at the box and he hadn't needed to go in the crawl space after all. We felt terrible, but Mr. Stockwell never made us feel bad even though our crawl space is really not a pleasant place to be. Really nice person, very professional and very reasonably priced. Would definitely use again.

He is very dependable and very knowledgeable. He will show up on time and do the job efficiently.

Service was fine, no problem, but six months later, after the tenant moved out, the light was burned out and the fan would only go super slow. Had another electrician look at it and he said it was wired wrong and damaged the switch. Had to buy another switch and have him install it. I have no way of verifying what the second electrician said.

Arrived on time, diagnosed the problem quickly, explained the problem, fixed it promptly

Scott was very courteous when we spoke on the phone.He was flexible in setting up my appointment and called me the day of to say he was going to be earlier than expected and wanted to make sure I was ok with that.Once he arrived I went over what I wanted done and he offered suggestions which wound up working out very well.He was very thorough in explaining what he was doing making sure I understood exactly what he was doing at all times.I was very happy with the work performed and will use him again and recommend him to others.

Mr. Stockwell called to say he would arrive at 9:30AM (which he did), he looked at what I had stated I wanted done, asked the location I wanted for the carriage light and the outlet, then he went to his truck to get his tools and supplies. Then he went about doing the work. He was pleasant and very neat and very efficient. When he was done he asked me to try out the light and if everything was okay, which it was. He proceeded to sweep my porch (the whole thing even though he only worked in one small area.. He was very polite and I will definitely use him again.

They were on time. They were kind of disorganized. We ended up expanding our project so we went with a general contractor. We might use them again, but probably not.

Scott has done work for me before and each time he has been excellent on all counts. Reccommend highly.
