went ok rewired my circuit box in a way that i asked him not to and nowo my circuit keeps blowing

Scott was a total professional, and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and knew all of my options! He hung 3 different fixtures for us, 1 of which was a very heavy crystal chandelier. He was not comfortable with the support the manufacturer provided so made it more secure himself. He provided me with options and thoughts about light placement, and was completely honest when I thought that our front outdoor light may be broken but in fact I just hadn't screwed the bulb in tight enough. I plan to use him again to add another light or 2, and he would be the first person I would call for any kind of electrical issue! Very trustworthy, honest, prompt and professional, I would give him an A+ if Angie's List allowed it!

I purchased an Angie's list deal that was two hours of an electrician for $85 which was a great deal. Scott did a nice job and arrived on time. I was surprised that it took two hours to install two ceiling fans since one of them was just replacing an existing fan. This may be typical, I have nothing to judge it by. When finished, Scott showed me that the ceiling fan in one room wobbled quite a bit on high and medium speeds and asked me if I would like him to try and adjust the blades to eliminate the wobble. I declined the offer since upon arrival Scott informed me that anything over two hours would cost $65 per hour and it had already taken the full two hours.

On time, cleaned up and did a solid job.

I purchased the BIg Deal - $85.00 for two hours of electrician work. He was great at letting me know what to do in preparation for him coming out so that no time would be wasted and he could get as much done in the two hours. Scheduling was easy. He came when he said he would and was able to repair the issues I hired him for without going beyond two hours.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!! Good communication. Called when he was on his way and the night before to confirm. Polite and friendly. Explained everything that he needed to do and offered options when they were available. Answered all questions I had. Was neat and tidy as can be. When I made the appt it was for the light fixture switch only. He finished and then fixed 3 other misc problems I had. Grounded everything he worked on because they weren't grounded before. Extremely safety conscious. I got the service on a coupon of $85 for 2 hrs of service. I thought he went over the 2 hrs but he only charged me $20 for parts. He's coming back to estimate a planned upgrade on my electrical panel.

I asked if Economy Fence Inc. the fencing company I hired knew of an electrician to do some conduit work. They referred me to Stockwell Electric. I checked all of Stockwell Electric's reviews on Angie's list to satisfy myself. The reviews were good and there were a number of them. I count on these reviews a lot when hiring service people I haven't used in the past.. Economy Fence Inc. went the extra step by calling Stockwell Electric to explain what needed to be done before I called. This wasn't a big job in terms of money or time, which often means you get pushed back until a time frame opens. Mr. Stockwell and I spoke shortly afterwards. I described and confirmed on the phone what repairs were needed. I was told what materials would be needed, the cost, the approximate time it would take and set a schedule. Mr. Stockwell showed up exactly on time, with all the materials needed to make the repairs He was very professional and did a great job. I will certainly use him again. I highly recommend him to all of you.

They said that they do not have the expertise for some quite specialized work.

Wasn't able to find a date to get the work done as he was very busy on the only day of week that worked for us (Fridays) and Imam traveling the next 2 Fridays so unfortunately had to postpone the work. He was very prompt in responding though and did his best to make it work. I would recommend him to anyone looking for electrical work.

Scott was running a little late but he called well in advance to tell me. He arrived at the revised time which wasnt to far off the original time. Scott raised a hanging dining room light fixture from table height to ceiling height. He asked me for input on how high I wanted the light and then performed the work quickly and efficiently. Scott also repaired a recessed light in the kitchen that I had damaged when inserting into the ceiling. He was able to safely repair the wires thus saving me the time and trouble of purchasing and installing a new fixture. Lastly he replaced the dimmer switch that blew. Scott completed the work quickly and I am very happy with the results.

Everything is nice and neat now. He repaired everything that needed to be done.

Despite the cold weather, he finished it up in good time. When it was installed, he took a few minutes to instruct us in how to use the lamp. He was prompt and courteous, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others or hire his services again myself. All the work was covered by his coupon.

After resolving a tricky issue that had stumped a few electricians before him, he addressed some other smaller concerns. He seemed very knowledgable and honest.

Scott called the day before just to check-in and see if we were still on, which I thought was smart of him and showed he was prepared. He then he called the morning of to let me know he was on his way and had a minor delay. He arrived promptly, took a survey of what needed to be done, got his tools and got set up right away. He made his recommendation of how he would like to proceed with the work and when he got our approval, he then got started. He took out recessed lighting and the box on the wall that he was going to make from one, to two switches. Once he saw exactly what the wiring looked like, he rerouted his plan and go through 4 of the recessed lighting cans, working around a major structural beam in our ceiling. (We live on the first floor of a two story building). We had pre-determined the height of the lights and how we wanted them to hang, but he asked us how we came to that decision and confirmed that is how he would have done it. ;-) He hung the lights for us and I appreciated that he didn't cut any of the cord in case we ever wanted to lower the lights or use them elsewhere in our home. He also brought a larger cover plate as an option to match, which matched our other plates and covered up some peeling paint. I also appreciated that he was gentle with our fixtures taking care to not scratch them and he even fixed one that was a little mis-shappened (because I dropped it) and he reassured me it looked like new (he could tell I felt really bad for dropping the lights). He is kind, fair, friendly and professional. He informs you of what he is going do to and what he may need from you. He cleans up after his work too, and makes thoughtful suggestions such as, "hey since I'm pulling out the recessed lighting domes, I'll clean them for you since it's hard to dust up here." What. Who does that? Scott does. We will definitely hire him again!

Excellent communication skills and arrived in a timely manner. Well organized and did an excellent job checking the light switch, disabling it to code and rerouted the satellite coax new a newly mounted TV. Definitely would use Mr. Stockwell to do electrical work again. Very professional.

We renovated a high-rise condominium completely. We engaged Scott Stockwell to do all the electrical work, which included complete re-wiring of kitchen, installing fixtures throughout the condo, track lighting and new switches/outlets. The most difficult work was re-locating the 220 in the kitchen to an opposite wall for the oven and running a totally new 220 line for the cooktop. These appliances needed to two separate lines. The condo has concrete floors and ceilings so the 220 lines could not be run under the floor or over the ceiling, which was a major obstacle. He fed lines through existing conduits running from the circuit box at the opposite end of the condo. Scott was able to avoid cutting into walls to run the new lines which saved time and cost. Scott had to do the electrical work in phases as the kitchen was installed and other work in the condo was concluded. Sometimes delays in other projects required Scott to re-schedule, but he was always able to re-schedule the next steps as needed on a timely basis. I would recommend Scott for major electrical projects in your house or condominium. If I have further electrical needs, I will definitely contact Scott. The project was completed on time and at the $3000 cost quoted.

After some rescheduling (he had originally made the appointment without seeing his schedule, and then he became ill, so he could not come on the second date we set up), Scott came to do the electrical work. He was late, but it worked out ok for me that day. He also apologized for being late 2-3 times. He installed the automatic outdoor timer that we had purchased and had to get a few things from his car to complete the installation. I was hoping that he could also do some rewiring of lights and fans for us as well during the two hours, but the time we had scheduled was up (Angie's List Big Deal). I almost wrote Scott another check, and then he reminded me that I had already paid online, so he's honest! The timer he installed is working fine.
