Scott was responsive and created availability without charging us extra, when we know his time is his livelihood. He was informative and created safer remedies than we asked for with the upgrades he provided. We highly recommend his services and only wish he worked in Indiana too!

I usually use him. He is pretty reliable. The price was okay. He always gets back with me. He was on time. He was professional. I use him quite a lot.

Scott was unable to make it out on last minute notice since that day he was out in the suburbs and I'm in The City, but he took the time on the phone to provide me with troubleshooting tips and ideas to run past my HVAC guys. Someone who will offer their expertise even when not getting paid is a rare find- you're a legend Scott!

This is the second time we have hired Scott and his crew. As before, he was punctual, diligent, professional, and prepared. Ours is a 1920's building, and Scott has the necessary experience and tools to manage electrical renovation in our place. We were very pleased with the work. We also had wall sconces installed, and the switches were placed with such precision that they are both exactly the same distance from the floor. We would highly recommend Stockwell Electric - in fact, we use Scott exclusively. And our dog likes him too.

Scott Stockwell was able to come to my house the day after I called him, which worked out great. He arrived when he said he would and is a nice guy. Scott did a great job and cleaned up afterwards. I will use his services again in the future.

Fantastic. I left a message with Stockwell Electric and Scott called me back within a few minutes and was able to set up an appointment to come out to our place the following morning (which was great since we had no working lighting in our main upstairs bathroom). He was also wise enough to have me send a photo of the defective light switch in order to make sure that he had the necessary replacement parts/hardware. On the day of the appointment, Scott even arrived early and was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. He was courteous, professional, punctual, and explained everything very thoroughly. I wouldn't hesitate to use Stockwell again.

Job went very smoothly. Scott showed up on time, completed the work quickly and was a pleasure to work with. This is my second time using Scott and I will continue to call him when I need electrical work done right.

Basically, all of the ceiling fixtures on one floor of my house stopped working. Scott came in and systematically figured out and fixed the problem. Another electrician couldn't figure it out and it was a pretty daunting task, but Scott persevered and got the job done. He was super easy to deal with, very honest, and obviously quite skilled. I would highly recommend.

Ruined my ceiling. He cut the holes for the can lights using a reciprocating saw instead of a purpose-built circular saw, and cut the holes too large. As a result, there are gaps, cracks, chips, etc. around the trim of every recessed light. It looks awful, and you can't miss seeing them. The only option to have this fixed is to pull the trim out of the can and have the ceiling drywall patched, then the trim put back in. Additionally to this, he knocked a holes in the wall through mis-aligning a drill, and his assistant put his knee through a wall trying to pull a wire. He broke a glass light shade from a ceiling fan. Another fan which worked fine before is now out of balance and wobbling like crazy. To his credit, he offered to fix the walls and replace the wobbling fan and glass. The actual electrical work seems fine, but he created half a dozen new headaches to deal with, which are going to cost more to fix than the original job was quoted. I'm going with another electrician for the remainder of the job, and to other contractors to fix the walls and ceiling.

Gotten some quotes from him and he came out to do some work had another person come to help him. This person was a sub from a different electrician. We were under the impression that this was someone who worked for him. We should have been notified that he was subbing this contract out to another electrician. He came at 10:30am and stayed until 9pm. I asked him to come earlier the next day and it needed to be done by 5:30pmThe next day he came again at 10:30am and told me he was going to need more money despite our contract that says 50% downpayment and the rest due at completion. He asked us for an additional $600, and we informed him that we could not find the check book and asked him what does the contract say. He had scratched out the $1000 due on completion and changed it to say we owe him more before completion. with the date written on when he changed it. After we were unable to provide him with additional money he gathered up his things and left. When we went to were he was working we found that he had left a mess and urinated all over the bathroom downstairs. We do not want him to finish this project and we feel very threatened by this company .

Can't speak highly enough of Scott. His flexibility and professionalism are incredible. He went out of his way to help me out of a tight spot and did so with good cheer and incredible thoroughness.

Scott was extremely personable and thoroughly professional. He was an expert with Tech Lighting halogen fixtures and quickly diagnosed the issue and repaired the light. He was punctual, polite and reasonably priced and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Scott was fantastic. I had three issues, each of which weren't able to be solved by other electricians. He came prepared with an expensive replacement for issue #1 (good preparation). But when he got here, he found an easy way to fix the issue with a $5 tweak. Problem solved, quickly and cheaply. Issue #2 was even faster and even cheaper. Before he even looked at the wiring, he had a good idea of what the problem was. Ten minutes later, the problem was solved. Issue #3 was a "wishlist" type item--I wanted an additional electrical outlet added to an odd wall near the stairs. Scott quickly found a minimally invasive way to get the wiring to the odd wall and went to work making my life much better. 2-3 hours after very warmly introducing himself, he left us in a house with a working printer in the office, a working whirlpool tub in the bathroom and one less extension cord precariously hanging over the basement stairs. Even better than all of that is that I no longer have to fear electrical projects or problems--I know the man that will make it all better. Thanks, Scott!

What a pleasure dealing with Scott Stockwell. On the phone making the appt. he was friendly, upbeat, professional as we coordinated our calendars. Scott was on time, cleanly dressed and courtious as he began the difficult job. Scott worked effeciently, informed me what he was doing as he was doing it and was very patient with me. The whole in the ceiling was repaired with care and the new lighted ceiling fan gently entered it new life in my kitchen ceiling. Scott cleaned up so well, you wouldn't have known any repairs/replacements had taken place. As a craftsman, he was excellent. He is a very good communicator-clear and concise yet extremely personable. I thought the cost of his service for the degree of difficulty of the job was extremely reasonable. I think my experience with Stockwell Electric was much better than anyone could ever expect when calling for help! THANKS Scott.

Excellent electrician. Scott was wonderful and came in very promptly. He fixed the problem in 30 minutes, and explained in details what went wrong for my "dead" bulb in the closet. Will use him again for another home project. Thanks, Scott!
