Description of Work: It went well. Scott took time to understand what I needed and then said that it would be better to have an HVAC person fix that for me. I want to install a new thermostat and need to run additional wiring to my furnace.

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal service from Stockwell Electric to fix a light switch for me.

Description of Work: The service provider was very friendly and attempted to assist us further by offering a referral. Due to the Big Deal offer he has received multiple calls and appointments and is unavailable until mid September. Since it is important we complete this project quickly in order to get our other work done we have decided to locate another provider to assist us.

Description of Work: The contractor was not able to come complete the work for 4 weeks from deal purchase. They contacted me right away but I am looking to get the work completed faster than their availability.

Description of Work: We hired him to install 2 ceiling fans, but there has been a delay in getting the fans. We are the ones getting the fans, so the delay is because of us and not him.

Description of Work: Sometimes these Big Deal contractors get so busy they are not able to provide a high level of customer service. It is off putting that they would mention to me that I can always ask for a refund on their coupon - it's like a easy way to get out of it when I've already paid and waited. Disappointing - would rather have had this contractor contact me proactively, know that he'd put me on hold for 2 weeks and fit me in, not just give himself a way out. At this point I don't want to work with him.

Description of Work: Scott Stockwell is a true gentleman and a thespian as it turns out. He is a cultured, timely, and well a spoken electrician. Kinda like a unicorn. He is an all-American actor and licensed electrician. I suspect he would not only give you great advice on your electrical problems, debate Marxist literature but rescue a kitten in the tree next door.

Description of Work: No services performed. Scott was unable to make my appointment time needed to fulfill my limited time window. I had to use my realtor's electrician.

Description of Work: The Angie's List Deal was $85.00 for 2 hours of labor. Scott arrived on time even with inclement weather and checked/fixed all the issues I had in just under 2 hours. He switched out an outlet to a GFI, replaced a breaker and fixed a bathroom fixture. The $26. extra I spent was for parts. He educated me on proper bulbs in certain areas & why that was important. He recommended using ele. strips with higher amps for better protection. He was very professional, pleasant and informative. I recommend using this company.

Description of Work: Excellent service, owner is very friendly and reliable. The work was performed the same week I called and on a timely manne. I had purchased one "big deal" coupon through Angie's list so I ended up paying just $75 on top of the $75 big deal coupon I already had that was worth for 2 hours of electrical work. The work done was: installing a new electrical outlet by drawing power from an adjacent closet's light, and replacing 2 light pendant above a kitchen island.

Description of Work: Scott Stockwell checked the wiring of my ceiling fan. The wiring was completely safe. He explained to me that because the remote control for the fan had a dimmer, the flourescent light bulbs were incompatible. He went to the store and bought some incandescent light bulbs, put them in and the lighting was better than it had ever been. He reversed the rotation of 4 ceiling fans and checked the functionality of several outlets. It was a pleasure doing business with this electrician.

Description of Work: He replaced a part that had malfunctioned and disconnected some wires for an outlet we no longer were using.

Description of Work: My food disposal stopped working and I called Stockwell Electric. He told me that I should try to do a few things on my own and if it does not work, he will come to fix it. I followed his direction and the disposal, started working again. I will definitely call him, when I need a small appliance repair. He is very honest and helpful.

Description of Work: We were attempting to secure an electrical contractor for procuring and installing a residential electrical generator. Called them an got answering machine. Never received callback.
