Description of Work: Initial communication was good. Before booking service I called to explain the timeline I needed. I was told to go ahead and book it. I did, but never got a confirmed date. I gave 3 preferred dates but those came and went. I called to try and get confirmed date but no response after 24 hours. I know they are busy, and it's peak season with good weather for outside painting jobs. But they should not have told me to book offer if they could not schedule time.

Description of Work: Arrived promptly and given careful, exact instructions by the owner Walter |which were followed by the 2 painters. They painted both my front and rear |stairways. They carefully taped around the wood to avoid splatterings and |cleaned up meticulously after the painting was completed. I would highly |recommend this service and would use them again.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for x amount of prep and painting (living room/dining room, kitchen, den, powder room, and upstairs hallway and landing area). In my contact with the contractor beforehand I expressed concern that the walls were pretty rough and needed a lot of work because of removal of wallpaper and a poor job by the original owner of the home of installing a layer of wallpaper that we had replaced. I asked if he would come out and take a quick look before starting the job to get an idea of exactly what needed to be done but he seemed unconcerned and told me this was not a big deal. We selected our color choices and come the day they arrived with a large crew, apparently looking to whip the job out that day or perhaps in several hours. After looking at the condition of the walls it became apparent that the crew would need the day just to spackle, sand, and repair bad spots and put on the necessary primer. There was some mild tension between both parties--he with the fact that there was more work needed and myself for their not having checked out the situation before scheduling the work. We eventually worked out an extra price for the actual painting and the next week a smaller crew came out and completed the job in a little over half a day. The quality of the work was very good and we were very satisfied with the way things turned out. The original deal was a good price and I thought the price for the extra repair and prep was fair; however, we wish the complications could've been avoided before the job started so there would have been no misunderstandings.

Description of Work: I am not accustom to using professional painter so I had nothing to compare the service to. Two guys came out. The were polite and went straight to work. They painted approximately 3/4 of a large bedroom of which I had removed most of the furniture. They applied two coats of paint that area and one coat of paint to part of an adjacent hall. The area they paint was neat especially since they did not tape the area. My B rating is based on my expectation, that is, I thought they "should" have cover more of the area.

Description of Work: The painters did my living room, repaired and painted my family room and repainted my daughter's bedroom including a large closet. The paint job is very good. I am pleased. On time, worked hard the entire day and responsive to my touch up requests in different areas.

Description of Work: I bought a $999 deal for 1800 sq feet of painting but had them paint all of the angled walls and ceilings in my house for an additional $1500. They came early to take a look at the area since it wasn't just flat walls they were painting. They were courteous, clean, and professional. They even patched up several of the areas where the drywall had started to shift and crack. They cleaned up well after themselves and finished in the time frame they proposed.

Description of Work: Bought deal online, got a generic email from provider next day confirming purchase. Shortly thereafter, had a basement flooding issue which changed our situation so we no longer need painting services. Called Angie's list to cancel. Incidentally, still hadn't heard from provider during the week since the deal was purchased.

Description of Work: I ordered the coupon a couple of weeks ago. It took until today to get the guy to come to my house. He came today. We walked around the house and he said that he would not honor the coupon. He said that coupon would get a very poor job done on 3/4 of the front side of the house, leaving the remaining 3 and 1/4 sides unpainted. He said I should call Angies list and get a refund on my coupon. Also, when I ordered this coupon (nearly 1 month ago) I accidentally pressed the button 3 times and ordered 3 of these deals. I talked to Angies List immediately thereafter and they said they would refund 2 of the 3. I think that got done, but if it did not, I want any coupons for this paint job refunded since the vendor will not do the work as promised.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal yesterday with order #1497567. After speaking with the contractor, we found out that they are not able to provide the service in my building due to a very specific contractor's insurance requirement. So I'm writing to seek help for a refund of this purchase.
