The owner of the business, Walter Glisson, came to give the estimate. He listened to my concerns about maintaining the integrity of the ornamental features. He assured me he would do that part of the job himself and he did with excellent results. The estimate given was very reasonable and there were no later surprises with the price. We did have to wait a couple of weeks as he had several jobs ahead of us and the weather was uncooperative. He called two days before arriving. A total of four workers arrived. Before the work started Walter had me walk around the house with him to make sure we both understood exactly what was going to be done. They went to work quietly and worked steadily throughout the day with only a short break for lunch. Walter worked for several hours on the ornamental top and the frame of the door with beautiful results. At the end of the of the job he had me take another look at everything again. I was thoroughly pleased. The crew was polite and professional and the job was top-notch.

It went well. Walter gave me an estimate at the beginning of the summer, and our schedules finally worked out together at the end of July.

Walter's estimate fell so far below the other two estimates (one estimated $1,000 and the other $1,300)that we received that we sort of entered this job feeling a bit fearful of the quality and what we were getting into. We were elated with the quality of the paint job that he and his workers (possibly his sons?) did. When they asked for my husband to inspect their work upon completion he pointed a few things out to them that they quickly fixed/made right. We appreciated Walter's helpful attitude in attending to everything my husband found. Their paint job was very neat, professional and it really looks great. We couldn't be happier with the actual paint job and could not believe how fast they got it done. We could not wait to write a glowing review for him. However, the following is what would give us pause in using them again as this incident definitely compromised our feeling of trust with this company/owner. One of their crew members broke the glass out of a framed & matted picture that had been taken down for painting purposes- picture was leaning against our bathtub during the job - must have knocked it over in there. Accidents happen so the breakage did not disturb us but the fact that they did not tell us this happened was disturbing when someone painstakingly had to clean up all the glass on the floor and from inside the frame. When my husband called Walter to ask him about this, he made it clear that he had no intention of telling us of the incident, that accidents happen, and that we should be happy at the "great" job that they did cleaning up the glass. The problem is, there are always tiny chards of glass left over when something like this happens. I found these tiny chards in our bath rug and beyond. I have two children 4 years old & under and I was VERY close to bathing them that night - before I would have had a chance to discover the broken glass. It could have cut them or, stuck to their feet and gone into their bed/crib, or even worse - somehow gotten into their mouths from their bed/feet. As one can imagine, we were horrified. We can commend their painting skills, but we could not rightly recommend them to a friend, preferring a company that would be completely straight with us in any and every regard - or at least a company that could reason about the possible impact of such actions like broken glass with little children around - and be overly cautious & conscientious about such things. A simple letting us know what happened would have solved the whole problem.

My aunt had smoked in this apartment for 8 years without having the walls cleaned or painted. The walls had changed from white to brown. The living room required 2 coats of stain cover and 2 coats of paint. The rest of the apartment required some stain cover and 2 coats of paint. The painter brought enough help to finish in about 4 hours. He offered to come back and clean the splatters, but there were so few that it was easier to clean myself. The landlord was pleased with the results and so was I.

Left a message to get and estimate. They never returned my call.

He sent his son to paint the room. He had to come back the second day to fix the rushed mistakes, but in the end I was happy and would have them back again.

They painted the full single-story home and garage, including detailing. We talked about having them do our regular house too (in addition to a house we're selling).

Walter came out for the estimate right away and we were able to schedule the work within the next few weeks. Their estimate was the lowest we received. Weather in the spring is always a factor and we were happy that Walter phoned us often to keep us posted on possible dates for the work. The work itself was completed in two days with Walter on the job site a majority of the time. They were always professional, courteous, and cleaned up the area completely. We are extremely happy with the work and would recommend them to anyone needing exterior painting.

Arrived when they said they would and were extremely hard working and efficient. Left no mess for me to clean up. Everything was as neat when they finished as it was before they started work.

Perfectly professional. Walter called when he said he would, arrived on time and finished when he said he would. The painting job was excellent.

Walter answered my call live, on the first call. After establishing a mutually convenient time he came to our home and personally provided a free estimate for the work. Walter's associate and his son (home on winter break) came to our home on the agreed upon day at the agreed upon time. They did a great job and were very respectful of my family and their schedule during the day (they even herded one of our cats back into the house!). They did a great job!

They were outstanding to work with. They were quick to come out and give us a bid (which was better than the other bids we got). They were careful to cover all the furniture, etc., and cleaned up afterward. They had to cover some much darker paint, and they did it perfectly. They did the work when they said they would, were professional, kept checking with us to make sure we were happy with the work, and did a great job. We would absolutely bring them in again if we ever needed any more work in the future.

Walter did a great job! The walls look beautiful! He arrived on time and cleaned up after himself. Will hire again.

I contacted Walter after reading several positive reports on Angie's List. He was professional on the phone and set up a time to come to my home for an estimate. After that he called me with a price that I thought was fair so we hired him to paint the rooms, stairway and hall. He was right on time and got the job done very quickly. I had picked up the paint myself and hadn't checked inside the containers to make sure the paint was exactly the right color. Unfortunately one of the two colors we were using was wrong, but Walter had no way of knowing that because I wasn't home when they were painting. By the time I got home and saw that the color was wrong, they were done. Walter offered for Mike to stay and repaint the stairway and hall for a small fee. I went and got the new paint and Mike painted the right color on those walls. I was very pleased that Walter offered that solution so quickly and at a very fair price. So I was delighted with the job they did and plan on using them again.

Walter set up an appointment for an estimate and arrived on time. His estimate, which included all paint and materials, turned out to be the low bid, which we accepted. The job was scheduled and started as planned. He did an excellent job of matching the new paint with the existing paint on the house proper.

We have used them three times and there are never any problems. They are always great and the service is amazing. They are so neat and professional. The price is great as well. I would recommend them to other people any time.

We loved him. He insisted on doing the work himself, and he was very efficient. He took care of everything, including getting the paint and other materials.

Walter was very prompt with providing a quote, and I felt he was much more realistic about the amount of paint work that needed to be done, in comparison with the other contractors I solicited quotes from. His paint crew worked incredibly fast and was done with the entire building in two days time. Walter and I went back and forth about the color of the stain to be used on the decks. The decks were sealed one week after the metal was painted, and it was clear early on in this job that the stain we chose was not going to look right. Walter immediately called me and advised me to switch to a clear stain. I very much appreciated his input on this aspect of the job. I will definitely hire Walter again for our painting needs.

Saw Walter J. Glisson on Angies List and contracted for exterior painting. It was a good experience, as all work was done as scheduled and in a very satisfactory manner. We would use Walter again without hesitation.

Walter came for an estimate, was prompt and returned phone calls. Painting began when weather permitted and was done in slightly over 3 days. Looks great! They were very friendly and professional.

Here was a professional job! Unlike other painters we have worked with before, Walter was not alarmed by dark colors. His crew did the job economically and quickly, just as promised. No hassles! The offices look great, we were very pleased! We will definitely use Walter Glisson again.

This was the best painting experience Ive ever had. Walter was reasonably priced, called with the bid promptly, followed up, arrived when he said he would, completed a big, messy job in 3 days, & it looks great!! Also worked around my elderly parents who were in the home, with minimal inconvenience to them. Price was slightly less than we discussed because we went with paint he had on hand. I couldnt have been more pleased.
