I would never recommend him. He did not paint any of the doors that didn't face the kitchen because he said that it was not part of the kitchen. Nothing is done on any of the back sides of the doors. When I called him, he said that it was my fault that it wasn't done. He said that it was fine because I looked at it. He said that they wouldn't do anything unless we spent more money on them.

Great job! Two painters for the whole day. It was great to have this deal. Even better to meet Walter and watch he and his son in action. They were efficient, responsible and very good at what they did. We will recommend Walter whenevr we can.thanks!

Overall, Walter and his team is one of the best contractors among 5 contractors that we have hired and over 20 that we have interviewed in the past year for our remodeling project that took over 3 months. They are very accommodating, punctual and the job is well done. I got the big deal from Angielist, and Walter came and gave an estimate since the job is definitely bigger than the big deal. We made some changes and Walter is very responsive and fair to my queries. Walter and his team is punctual on job day and everything is well communicated, and well done. Would like to use them for an exterior job when temp is back up.

I was consulted before and during the project in terms of color choice, paint type, and areas to paint. The painters were very tidy and I was encouraged to do a post-inspection to make certain that the painting was correctly done and that there were no drips or missed areas. I plan to use their services again: absolutely recommend!

We had four rooms painted and a hallway stairway. We would definatly use them again as we got estimates from several highly rated painters on Angies list and their bid was easily the most inexpensive, plus they were very highly rated. Overall we were pleased with our choice given the money we spent and plan on using them again when we need more painting done.

We have a NEW home. In the past, we've used Valhalla decorating with AMAZING results. However, Valhalla is no longer in business, so we turned to Angie's List to find a new painter. We bought the Big Deal for this business on Angie's List which included 2 painters for 8 hours and included minor wall repairs. We had lots of great communication with Walter Glisson prior to having him come to our NEWLY BUILT home to do the job. He was very direct in telling us to be able to prioritize the jobs that needed doing to utilize the 8 hour timeframe effectively. We emailed him with pictures and asked him if their was a paint brand preference. He said he could get the paint for us at cost, and we were hoping to do that, but as we hadn't heard from him as to how this would be done, we bought paint the day before he was scheduled to arrive. Our first surprise was when Walter showed up, on time at 8 am, at our home with his arm in a sling/cast after having surgery. Despite all the communication beforehand, we had no idea that his children would be the ones doing the actual painting. It felt less like a professional paint job and more like having College Pro come to my home. The boys were in and out of the rain multiple times to get items they forgot, running across the lawn and tracking dirt and mud(we don't have a full lawn yet) all over my recently cleaned beige carpeting where the dusty and dirty tarps didn't cover it. I indicated twice that they could use the powderroom sink to clean their brushes and trays, as I have paint on hand to touch up that room if they splatter. One of the young men spilled half a can of dark paint across my front room as he was descending the ladder and had to go, once again, out in the rain to get another sheet for the floor. The other young man managed to get an orange sized amount of dark green paint in the middle of my beige-carpeted stairs. This same individual repeatedly kept letting the ladder slam into my walls, PUTTING DENTS IN THE WALLS that were very noticible from the top of the staircase. Walter was very consciencious, pointing out areas they missed or went too heavy/light with the brushes and rollers and having them re-do their efforts. When I came down from my office to see how it was going and appraised Walter of the damage to the wall, the carpeting and the DENT THEY PUT IN MY FRONT DOOR, he got defensive, but then started chewing the guys a new one, to the point where one of them was heard to say, "so does that mean I'm done?". Walter told me in an aside that the kids just don't appreciate what he's trying to teach them, and the way he would talk to them, made us both very uncomfortable. They then used a large amount of time trying to clean up their messes and repair the walls and carpeting, rather than actually painting. Moreover, they decided to IGNORE my request to use the powderroom sink and instead got paint and solvents all over my NEW $400 Price Pfister bronze faucet, which took the finish right off it in places and spattered paint all over my cabinets, dishes and walls, which I didn't even notice until after they were gone!! Walter communicated with me prior to the start of the job about job priorities. We specified multiple times prior to that day and that same morning that the foyer stairs, first floor ceiling and basement stairwell were to be completed, in that order, and if there was extra time, that the front room needed re-painting. When I came down a few hours later, around 1:30pm, I was stunned to find that they were painting walls that we had previously painted and was told there would be no time to paint my first floor ceiling or basement stairwell! I admit that I lost my cool at that point. I came very close to throwing them out of my home and had to go for a walk afterwards because I was so angry. We reminded them that the ceiling was clearly outlined as the second priority at the beginning of the day. I also said that if they hadn't damaged my walls, spilled paint, etc., then they would have had that time to paint my ceiling instead of cleaning up their mistakes at our expense. He told the boys to stop what they're doing and get on the ceiling. They finished at 4:20. Walter asked me if I had any concerns as I walked through the house with him and I pointed out the ladder marks on the wall near the ceiling and he had one of the boys come in and fix it (His exact words to his son: "How many times do I have to tell you to pad the top of the ladder?!"). We didn't even notice the ceiling paint on the carpeting of the upstairs landing until much later in the day. Once the paint dried, there are obvious roller marks and streaking on the foyer walls where the paint wasn't evenly applied. While we contacted them about some tools they left here, they never came back for them. We haven't even bothered contacting him about the damage to the faucet, the paint on the upstairs carpet or the streaking on the walls because we really don't want to deal with them again. I guess it goes back to getting what you pay for. Other painters gave estimates, including paint, of $1500 for the same job. I wish Valhalla was still around, because Chris had been to our old home multiple times and always did a wonderful job. Walter, while a great salesperson, needs to either leave family baggage at home, or hire painters that are not related to him that don't HATE painting. **After they left, after I initially filed this report, I noticed MORE white paint spilled on my beige carpeting, they spilled paint on the frame around my front door and decided to repaint that PIECE of trim, which is now a different shade of white than the rest of my door frame.

Walter was very organized and wanted to be sure I was fully prepared so the day would go right. He was GREAT at making sure his team of two knew exactly what they were doing, what color went where and to encourage on-going communication. My only wish was that they had suggested I buy a higher quality paint - BEFORE THE JOB INSTEAD OF AFTER - that would have required one coat of paint. I didn't like hearing it when it was too late.

Work was completed in less than 1 day and the results are great. The 2 man crew easily handled a difficult high wall over a staircase as well as detailed work in the kitchen.

Set appointment almost a month in advance and confirmed 3 seperate times, including once which was 4 days before service was to be performed. They didn't show because they called a disconnected number while I was moving and decided that was an excuse to cancel my appointment.

I contacted them the same day I purchased it (11/8) but didn’t hear back from them until several weeks later. We’ve already completed the project with someone else and are now seeking a refund from Angie’s List.

Very well, on time & started immediately. Neat work, cleaned up after works. Took only a day and a half.

Had entire interior house painted by Walter and his sons. Great experience from the intial quote to finish. Always on time, professional, and clear with expectations. Walter will be very straightforward with you and let you know beforehand when something will turn out perfect vs. good. Gave him color selections chosen from an interior decorator who we had hired for 1 hour. Something I highly recommened to make your life and his much easier. Had probably 8 different colors and several accent walls, and they were able to execute perfectly. They work fast, hard, and diligently and were able to complete an entire interior painting, with 1 coat ceilings and 2 coats walls, on a mid-size tri-level house in a short amount of time. Appreciated the few minutes he took afterwards to give tips on maintaining/cleaning, etc. Would hire and refer this company anytime. Thank you Walter and Sons.

Walter was fantastic. We purchased the "Big Deal" and when I talked to him the first time I mentioned that our project would probably take more than the 16 hours that were included in the big deal, so I would like an estimate for the rest of the job. He came on a Friday morning (and arrived on time) to take a look at our job and said that he would have an estimate for us on Monday. Mid-morning on Monday, he had an estimate for us. His estimate was less than I expected, so we decided to get most of the additional work done at the same time. We talked a few more times so that I could give him our paint color selections and then they came a few days later (less than a week after the estimate) to do the work. He and his crew showed up on time (for both work days). They did fantastic work, cleaned up after themselves and were friendly/courteous/professional. The final invoice was in-line with the estimate. I was very happy with the experience and would highly recommend him.

We had a whole house in need of some serious trim painting...so we purchased 8 hours (2 painters) from the Big Deal for $399. Walter came out to make sure the scope of work could be done in the 8 hours we had allotted. He came out to the house and went over exactly what we wanted. Upon arrival, he went over the scope of work again and they got right to work. It looks fantastic! We plan to have them back again to paint some bedrooms and bathrooms.

The experience was great overall. Walter was punctual every day and provided a good estimate of the cost and timeline. He met all of my expectations. Everyone that worked on the project was professional and neat. I received a report of his progress every day which assisted in room preparation for the following day. At the same time, his crew was extremely helpful in moving carefully all of the heavy items in the rooms that were painted. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

It was a pleasure to deal with Walter and his crew. Walter is very open, honest and striaght forward in his communication. Not only did he do the estimating but he also worked on the house along with his crew. The crew spent over a day preping the surfaces to ensure a quality job. Walter kept me informed of thier progress as well as discussed options. Walter demands quality work from his team. Overall, there were no surprises and the house looks great.

Walter and his sons are the best ever! I have had them twice and loved them both times. Moreover, I trust them implicitly around my children. This is the most important factor for me in addition to their high quality of work. They are a wonderful family company!!!

They arrived on time with about five people to do the prep work. Moved and covered all furniture that couldn't be removed from the rooms. Also window coverings were taken down and protected. Ceilings were done in one color and walls in another color. Then most of the painting was done by one person. The work was all done in one day and I was well satisfied with the overall job. Would definitely recommend.

'Premium' was 1 of 3 angie contractors i asked for a bid. 'Premium' had the most competitive pricing. he showed up on time and finsihed on time. He & his son did an excellant job. he asked me every day (4 days) if i had any questions and discussed objectives for the day. communications were primary by cell phone. i would definately recommend his company. he painted both walls & ceilings + an accent wall.. overall i was very pleased with his work!!

Walter is easy to work with, very responsive and very responsible. Our job wasn't huge, but it was bigger than we were willing or able to do, so we were happy the project went so smoothly and quickly. Walter made himself available for any questions we had, offered suggestions when asked and worked diligently to get the job done while we juggled kids and nap schedules. Best of all, his estimate was a full half the amount of the other two estimates we received, yet we don't feel one bit that he did anything less than a top job.

Superb job in all respects! We couldn't have asked for a better job, done more professionally, or at a more reasonable cost. The end results were exceptional and we are most pleased. Two of the rooms had really bad walls. Walter was able to plaster them with excellent end results and a painted finish that we did not think possible. Other rooms had removal problems but he and his crew dealt with them so that the difficulties did not affect end results or time table. He and his crew were excellent in their craft, worked all day, each day and cleaned up daily. Walter did everything he said he would do from our first contact until the job was done! He is knowledgeable and was very helpful with suggestions as problems were uncovered due to the age and condition of the house. They kept us informed each step of the way which was quite thoughtful as we were living in the house during this big project. Things were removed and returned to their places in a meticulous manner. Honest quality tradesmen like Walter deserve to get our business. His integrity, experience and demonstrated skills were valuable and very much appreciated. We plan to use him again in the future.

A week or 10 days before my husband and I moved into our new house, we decided we didn't have time to do the painting ourselves, so we called some painting contractors to see if they could fit us in. We ended up getting two quotes, and Walter was the only one to come to the house to see what we needed done. He eyeballed the measurements, we talked about paint, and he was able to fit us in to his schedule. The rooms turned out great, we are very happy with the results. They were quick and efficient. They caulked the trim, and that made a huge difference. I have never before hired a painting contractor; I would definitely hire him again, if I wasn't going to paint the rooms myself.
