The gutters were done well by Ken the day before interior painting took place. They came 30 minutes early the day they started interior painting; we would have preferred that they had come on time instead. The half bath needed extensive patching and painting; Ken did a good job considering what needed to be done here, but things could have been better. The rest of the painting work was adequate. We were disappointed with a few things. Two large cracks that were repaired and painted over are still noticeable. Ken went over them a second time but they still are distinguishable; I told Walter before giving him the job that I did not want to see these cracks after they had finished their work. He said they would not be visible at that time. The other problem was with cleanup - not a good job at all. They left tape on woodwork in some areas that had been dry for awhile. There were many paint splatters on the woodwork and doors and floors in the house that we had to clean up after they left. They vacuumed up in only half the areas they worked in. They also left an open can of paint that was about a 1/5th full on an uncovered nightstand in our bedroom with a paint brush in it. On some of the light on/off switch covers they removed they lost screws so instead of two screws holding a cover in place there is only one. I had painting contractors do work for me about fifteen years ago and remember that they did a much better job of cleaning up after themselves and putting things back together. Cannot recommend.

Walter came out to quote painting costs at the time he had indicated. Price quoted was $985 with paint additional. They arrived promptly the day they were to paint. Very professional and courteous. Performed walk through to go over details before starting. Furniture covered and moved away from the walls by Premium Home Improvement. Crew of 4 painted entire first floor in less than a day. As promised, fans they used dried everything quickly. Looks great. Would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

They were very professional. We did notice a few missed spots that we felt they could have done a little better job, but overall we were pleased. They were the best price from all the other quotes that we received. They were very punctual and professional and whenever I had a question they were quick in their response. They were very pleasant to deal with. They got the job done over 3 days and they sent 1-3 people out to do the painting each day. The cleanup was good.

These guys were excellent and efficient. Everything was done with a high standard and in an extremely expedited manner. They patched up holes and were able to paint a huge portion of our house within about 8 hrs.

I purchased a Big Deal for $399 for 2 painters for the day! It went great! They were on time and very professional. They even finished early and asked if there was any thing else we needed done. I would recommend them.

They painted most of the interior. Wanted to charge extra for some small rooms above what the deal included, we hired another big deal painter to finish up the work. Satisfied with the work, painted as many coats as required no extra charge.

Walter came out and gave us a quote on Saturday April 12 and stated he would get back to us in writing by Monday or Tuesday the following week. My wife was the one that dealt with him so she received a call from him on Tuesday April 15 that he wanted to discuss the quote over the phone, but we had nothing in writing from him. I called him back and asked him why he had not sent a written quote and he stated he was backed up with 12 quotes and did not want to waste his time sending a written quote if he was not getting the job!!! To begin with if he is trying to get work from Angie?s List should he not be giving everyone a written quote since that is the expectation from everyone? He was condescending to begin with and at the end when I mentioned to him this was already a ?red flag? of things to come and I told him not to bother sending a written quote he stated ? I was not going to anyway. If his game is to go out and get as many quotes as possible, which in his industry might be the norm, than written quotes should be the standard if he wants to deal with the type of clientele that subscribes to Angie?s List which expects a high level of professionalism from contractors.

They were AWESOME!! I can't even tell you how impressed I am with the work Walter and his crew did. They came in at 9a and by 3:30p all those rooms were painted and DONE! I had to do minimal prep and just gave Walter the paint colors I wanted and he even provided the paint (obviously at a charge). I must give them an extra high five for flexibility. We had some construction work done to our house immediately after we closed on the sale (structural repair & fortification) and I was hoping to have the construction and painting done before we moved in, so I set an appointment date with Walter the painter for two days prior to our scheduled move-in date. Unfortunately, the structural work in the house went a lot longer than anticipated so I had to cancel the painting date. Walter was great about it and gave me a quick appointment after the construction work had finally finished! He rocked!!!

The painting was good where they painted but they missed a half of a wall and painted the top of another wall in the wrong color. 5 men were used but they didn't paint behind the headboard in the bedroom. 1) in the halllway that is the entrancemway to the house the top part of the wall was painted adobe white (beige) instead of pure white. My walls go up 10 feet: the baseboards are about 1 foot, then there is 7 feet of wall with 5 inches of trim, then a foot and a half of white area before you get to the ceiling which is also white. it is in this foot and a half area at the top of that one wall that the painter painted adobe white, in the corner stopping at the ceiling. He painted an area of about a foot and a half wide of that part of the wall in adobe and left it like that. I have pictures if that will help. 2) When I went to make up the bed I noticed that the wall under the headboard had not been painted then in moving the headboard out a little I noticed that they had not painted half of a wall. So I went looking closely at all the walls. 3) Mr. Walter Gillsen's instructions were for me to measure my wall space to see how much of each choice of paint I will need him to bring to do the job. My measurement showed I had way less that the deal asked for of 2500 sq ft. I measured only 1600 sq ft so I asked him would he consider using the other footage for the trim and doors; At first he said that would be a separate deal with the ceilings costing half of what the walls would cost. I asked him through your e-mail could he come to make sure we were doing things right. He consented and came out. After he saw what I wanted painted, he said he would include the ceiling and trim in the 2500 sq ft deal but I would need to purchase 2 gallons over the 8 gallons that came with the deal to paint my two bedrooms at the price of $35 a gallon. Although I disagreed that I need to pay extra, I consented so as to get my house done. On the day the job was completed, I called him that evening at around 5:30 to tell him what I was displeased about and to ask him to come back to fix it. I left a voice mail message on his cell phone. He didn't call me back until I sent an e-mail to him through Angie's list the next day. He had to leave a voice mail. I thought about it and because so many contractors have burned me in the past I couldn't stomach them coming in there again. Because of my past dissapointments with contractors I decided to try Angie's List hoping for a different experience. I am going to have to paint behind the headboard myself and the top of that wall. For professional money along with your connection I expected a professional job. I don't have anymore money for that project so I'm going to have to do it myself. I am very dissapointed!!

We hired them previously for wallpaper removal, and it went really well. That is why we hired them for the painting, which also went really well.

They actually come to the south side of Chicago. The father and son team came and worked the full 8 hours and did an excellent job. They could only finish 2/3 of the project in the time covered by the coupon, so I had them come back and finish the job at full price.

So far, I've been a little put off with the contact that I've had. I called the gentleman and spoke to him. I asked him if he could come out to do measurements. He wouldn’t come out and do measurements. He said that they don’t do that on this kind of job. He basically wanted me to do it myself. I sent him a worksheet with the room, the dimensions and the color. That was the first thing that I found somewhat troubling. The second was that the package was for up to 1800 square feet of painting for $999. I got the sense that he was maybe trying to change the deal a little bit. It was specifically square feet. He told me to do measurements that were basically going to measure for cubic feet, which would include the width and height of the wall, and the ceiling length as well. The deal was that the ceilings are covered. I was not particularly pleased. As a result, I haven't scheduled anything with them yet. I was actually going to go back and look at the terms of the package. With regard to professionalism, the guy was okay to deal with on the phone. He wasn't going out of his way. I was so pleased with another company that I would really almost prefer to use them.

The service turned out fine. We have used them in the past for another Angie's deal that we got, and so we like the quality of their work. There were no additional costs. The best part was that they came when they said they were going to come, there were no ifs or buts about it, they were on time, they were courteous, and the quality of work was good. Setting up the appointment this time was not easy. It was not as easy as I remember. The communication in setting up the appointment wasn't what I remembered. The people who came out to do the job were professional.

Walter was great to work with. They needed to fix some holes in our ceilings left by our electrician and they did a great job repairing and painting. They were efficient and did a very nice job. He was very reasonable priced given the scope of the work and was very flexible when we made some last minute additions/ changes. I would use again.

Walter and his team did an amazing job. They showed up on time (even though there was a snow storm), completed the work in a very professional manner, and cleaned up after the job. I would highly recommend Walter and his team for any painting job.

Was very happy with the work completed. They arrived on time and worked efficiently to paint as much of the house as they could during the allotted time frame. The walls look great and they cleaned up after themselves nicely. Would not hesitate to use their services again.

So far, they have been great to work with. I felt the price was fair to have interior painting. done They showed up on time and they are doing a great job. They brought tarps with them to not make a mess. It has been a good experience.

Premium Home Improvement did a great job in our bathroom. It's a large bathroom and they scraped off the old wallpaper and painted. Two people did the work and they came on time and were neat, courteous, hard working and professional in every way. They finished in a little less than 8 hours and our bathroom looks beautiful. Next time we need some work done-we will use them again.

They did a very good job once the job was confirmed. The whole idea of measuring the wallspace yourself and providing the information to the painter is a little 'hit or miss' to me. I can't be sure if I'm measuring or estimating correctly. In fact, the reason the 'job' took so long to complete is because being so busy and not knowing exactly what to do, we did not provide the 'numbers' to the painter promptly. I understand that the fact that having the customer do this is what allows the painter to keep costs down and offer promotions like this. However I would've preferred some type of pricing that allowed for measuring by the painter. I would caution others that if they are not inclined to do this type of prep work, to seek out a full service painter. After the job was complete however, we were very happy with the results.
