Everything went as planned. The owner contacted me ahead of time and went over all of the specifics. Painting process was straight forward and was completely in a timely manner.

This was the last step in a long remodeling project to prepare our house for sale - removing all the wallpaper, and repainting every room in a neutral color. We had gotten some quotes at the beginning of the project, but were waiting until the end to hire a painter. Got an email about a special from Angie's List, so we brought in Walter for a day to paint a room or two. The work went fine, so we asked him for a quote to do the whole thing. The price was very good, so we went ahead. They were punctual, neat, got the work done, and the house sold quickly so I have no reason to complain. However, what was never discussed was that part of keeping the price low was to skimp on surface prep. After removal of the wallpaper, the wallboard was not sanded, taped or otherwise smoothed so if you looked closely there were all sorts of bumps in the paint. But it looked good enough, and as I said, it sold quickly. Since the price was at least 40% less than other quotes we received, it was definitely a case of getting what we paid for. And we did try to use them for some exterior work a few months later and, to their credit, they flat refused to do the work until it was warm enough for the paint. But it would have been better to have discussed the surface prep before doing the work so we would have known what to expect. Probably would have chosen to do it this way anyway.

Did an excellent job. One person did all the painting; he arrived at 7:45 and after talking to me a few minutes he started working. Painted living/dining room and entryway and ceiling. Also painted accent wall in living room. Was a little concerned about the accent wall but only because I normally don't use colored paint. Did a great job with it -- used 4 coats of paint to make sure it was flawless. I would use them again and plan to in the near future.

this guy must have more work than he knows what to do with. he took forever to call back then only leaves a contact number which he rarely if ever answers, he has no internet service, can't provide a quote other than over the phone. only other possiblity is that he lives in the dark ages.

Our experience with Premium Home Improvement was top notch. Our rental unit became available on 7/1, and I needed to get a painter in there quickly. I contacted Walt a couple weeks before, and he got us on the schedule. They showed up on time, got the work done with touch-up paint to spare. I didn't need to stay there to watch...in fact, I told them to lock up when they were done. I came back two days later and the paint job looked great. They take pride in their work, and it is nice to get what you pay for out of a company.

Walter and crew from Premium Home Improvement arrived as scheduled for my project. They were very professional, courteous and answered all my questions. Walter was very patient with all the questions I had prior to my purchase of the Angie's List Big Deal, because I wanted to make sure the package I was buying would cover what I needed done. The work was completed in a neat manner and the communication between Walter and myself far exceeded my expectations. As soon as I sell this house, I plan to have him out to my house to get some painting done.

The good: very punctual and very fast. Good communication prior to the job. Did a beautiful job repairing one wall that had about 30 large holes from the prior owners. I was amazed! Crew of four had everything covered and most of the patching done in the first 45 minutes. Walter gave me good advice about the trim color and I appreciated that and avoided making a big mistake. He also mixed two cans of paint for me to get the exact color I wanted that I couldn't get any other way. No streaks and only one run on the walls. No smears between walls, ceiling and trim. Great value for the price. The bad: They left my refrigerator unplugged and I came home to a puddle of water on my beautiful hardwood floor. Walter did help me figure out why the puddle - the frig was unplugged. They did not remove their trash and left paint cans unprotected on the bedroom carpet. Removed switch plates but did not cover the switches or the outlets themselves so now I have to scrape paint off of every electrical outlet. (They don't use painter's tape so if you hire them ask them to give you time to cover them yourself or do it before they arrive.). I can see the cu-in line on the wall at the ceiling so will probably do a third coat myself. They did not repair the holes in the bedroom window trim that Walter agreed to do. I would have paid extra for this. And here is the ugly: Walter told me on the first day that I would have a chance to review the work and comment before making final payment for the extra work (He included the ceilings with the 2500 sq ft Big Deal, but not the trim- I paid extra for the trim.) Regarding touch ups: Walter said "there always are some." I left two spots marked for the next day when they came to do the trim. They fixed one area but missed the other. That was the last communication I had from him even though I have tried to contact him twice. I would have liked to have a courteous conversation about the cut in line and about the window frame so we could reach an agreeable resolution. As I said above I would have been willing to pay for the fixes but not now. A week is more than enough time to get a response. I have paid the full bill in spite of the problems and lack of follow up communication. July 29, Walter is correct in some areas. The holes left by the prior owners were monstrous and I fully expected to still be able to see them after the job was done. There is no hint of the holes now. They did a superb job on that repair. In fairness I have revised my review for that. Also in fairness his communications prior to the job were reasonable (15 contacts from me?). I have also upgraded him on this. It was his complete lack of communication after the job, except for one message giving his address for the final payment even though I had already mailed the check, that got him the mediocre review for responsiveness. Walter never told me until after they had finished their work on the first day that I needed to be there between 11:30 and noon the next day. That was never discussed at any point prior to then. That simply wasn't possible. I didn't say they "might get crabby". I said that was right in the middle of lunch and nap time. We do everything possible to maintain consistency for them even though there hasn't been much of that lately. Managing one baby is hard enough for most of us. Two is a whole different story. Caring for them is a very demanding job and just because I don't punch a time clock at that job doesn't mean I have the freedom to come and go as I please ignoring their needs. I don't. No more needs to be said about that. Surely Walter doesn't mean to suggest that the quality of his work is only assured if the buyer can be present at a time he sets with less than 24 hrs notice? He hasn't commented on the paint can on the carpet, the overlooked window trim, the unplugged refrigerator and the cut-in line. Walter painted yellow over grey. The paint on the switches is yellow. Again, in fairness I have upgraded my review. My comments remain factual.

After soliciting several quotes, we decided to go with Premium Home Improvement. We purchased a deal that covered 2,500 sq. ft. of wall space and 8 gallons of premium paint for $1,899. The additional labor and paint came in at $1,100. Walter was great to work with. Very prompt in responding and took the time to go through the entire project and make sure we understood everything involved. They finished the job very quickly, only a day and a half and made sure we were happy with the quality of the work before making the final payment. A great experience overall! We would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone looking for painters.

They did an absolutely fine job. They showed up on time for the appointment. There was one painter here doing the work. I felt the price was a little high for the value of the service.

After two unsuccessful efforts having painting done by two Angie's List Big Deal providers (one of which was Premium Home Improvement), I gave up any hope of actually receiving what was advertised. All money was refunded. The "Big Deal" "product line" appears to function as a run-of-the-mill bait-and-switch operation. Wherein a service is advertised at a price that the service represented was never available.

Painter was exactly on time, went to work moving & covering furniture, patched & started painting. Left after 8 hours. Room looks GREAT! We need more work, so we will be using Premier Home Improvement.

The service went well. I did pay additional to have them do a bit more painting for our 2 story home. The painters did a great job and came on time. They were very accurate and efficient works. I had no issues with scheduling. I would use this company again.

My experience with Angie's list array of services and ease of both purchase and refund were stellar. Was needing a more prompt response from the service provider. Communication began well, then the delay in providing a date of service took longer than we liked.

They were great. Professional, helpful, available, quick but complete in their work. That is why we used them again when we needed more work done and will continue to choose them for painting. Also referred to multiple friends who have had good luck.

This provider refused to honor the "Deal" which he advertises on Angie's List. Attached screen shots of the deal were sent to him, proving what he told us was not what he advertised. He refused to comment further until my review was posted on Angie's List. He then chose to lash out in a very unprofessional e-mail to me. That e-mail was forwarded to Angie's List. We had the Provider come out to our parent's house to get an estimate. He said the job would cost about $2,000.00. When I mentioned that we were considering buying two of the $279 Deal coupons that he advertises on Angie's List, he said we could only use one coupon.The Deal clearly states "if purchasing two coupons, both coupons must be used in one visit." He also stated that ceilings and trim are excluded in the fine print of the deal. He said Angie's List writes all the fine print. The deal does not exclude ceilings or trim. An Angie's List representative said they do not write fine print excluding ceilings or trim. A couple of days later, I e-mailed him to ask how much more would he charge to complete the job if we bought 2 of the $279 Painter for a day deals. Again, he claimed we could only buy one deal. After sending screen shots of the Deal to the provider, he refused to reply - until my review was posted on Angie's List. We will not use this provider and we advise other Angie's List members to not be misled by his advertising. Notice how angry and unprofessional his response is. Would you want to do business with someone who acts like this? ***RESPONSE TO SERVICE PROVIDER STATEMENTS****** Everytime someone writes something this guy doesn't like, he calls them a liar. If anyone is a liar, it's his false advertising and bait and switch business practices. He advertises one thing, doesn't honor his advertisement and then tries to upsell higher priced services. Apparently he was trying to salvage a chance of getting my sister's business. When we met him, my sister told him she might consider using him to do some painting at her home. No way. He clammed up as soon as it was pointed out to him that he was not honoring his advertisement. Avoid this angry and dishonest guy.

Walter from Premier Painting wanted me to get the best paint which I really appreciated (Benjamin Moore Aura). There was no odor and the paint was beautiful and neatly done. He had a large fan, his own high powered light and tarps to cover our things.

I had to calculate all of the square footage myself and that took a long time. Trying to get all of the square footage to complete what I wanted was difficult and it all changed because the ceilings took 2 coats instead of one. Once everything was figured out, they worked their butts off to get it all done. There were a few marks on the wood floors, but nothing that couldn't be cleaned up.

The service went very well. They arrived a little early for the appointment and were very efficient. My kitchen is about 10 by 10 that had 30 year old vinyl wallpaper on it. The owner and his son finished the wallpaper removal very fast and asked if I wanted them to paint the room. I went and got paint for them and they painted the kitchen as well. They also did a lot of drywall repairs. They still finished the work two hours early and he told me to call him if I needed more work done and he could give me a deal on the work since I didn't use all of the hours. They did a good job and I have had multiple people comment on how well the paint looks.

Good workmanship. Took awhile for them to come out, but it wasn't their fault - the weather wouldn't cooperate.

Walter and his crew were on time and got straight to business. there were three total painters for the $1,119 1800 sq ft wall big deal. i measured the walls as best as i could, and the job went with ease. they paint very efficiently and was done really well. they finished up a lot quicker than that I thought. all was cleaned up and done within 7 hours.
