Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for Premium Home Improvement for interior painting. They painted a hallway, a stairwell, a bedroom and an entryway. They did part of the trim in the bedroom.

Description of Work: I felt the provider was rude and basically told me if I did not like the deal to ask for my money back,which is what I am doing. He felt I should trust him to come out and paint my walls and he could give me a price for the trim at that time. At that time I would be stuck with painted walls and trim in need of painting and I would not want to start getting other bids at that time.

Description of Work: We bought a Big Deal from them for whole house interior painting. They did a great job. They were good with the details and did exactly what we wanted them to.

Description of Work: When I contacted the service provider Walter Glisson in March, 2013, he said he would contact me when the weather got warmer. The job was to paint the soffit/fascia and siding around the outside windows. I haven't heard from since and we have had several warm days. I did call him because he said it would be best for him to contact me.

Description of Work: We hired Walter to paint my mother's entire condo. This included all the walls, a few ceilings, and all the closet bifold doors. They were able to get this job done in one day. The place looks great and my mother was extremely happy.

Description of Work: Contacted provider. He asked me to get paint colors then call back to schedule. I got paint choices and called back. He wanted to know about working in my building and I told him he needed a certificate of insurance which he did not have.

Description of Work: Because it is a "Big Deal", the company is not willing to work with me at all in advance of the work day. He is not interested in helping to determine the rooms to be painted, or the colors to utilize. he says he will show up one day, do the work, and leave. His emails were curt, unprofessional, and reflected an overall bad attitude. I simply don't have any confidence that he will do a good job.

Description of Work: Communication was poor from the start. They are not good with email and slow to return phone calls. Before purchasing the Big Deal I spoke to them on the phone and asked for a specific service date... they agreed to that date. Once I purchased, they no longer wanted to work on that day. FInally, they agreed to day I needed. It so happened I had a family emergency the day before and I contacted them ASAP to reschedule. They now refuse to reschedule or refund my Big Deal. I would never work with this company!

Description of Work: I called and spoke with Walter Glisson. He became very rude over the phone when I told him there were complications to the area that we would need to be painted. I told him that wallpaper would need to be removed, and the height of the walls in the stairwell were over his 9' limit. I told him I knew this would mean someone would have to see our space and adjust the estimate accordingly. He became very frustrated and rude. Then when I asked for references of people he had done work for in the past so we could speak to them, he said he would not give those out. He said that's what Angie's list was for, referrals. He became increasing frustrated, but agreed that I could send him photos of the areas we needed painting so he could give us an estimate. After telling my husband what had happened, we talked and decided we did not want to actually work with a person who had this kind of attitude during a first encounter.

Description of Work: Prompt, professional, painters did twice what I expected at half the price of the other quotes. He took the time to meticulously match the paint, as his crew was draping the furniture with drop cloths. Some of our walls and ceiling had small cracks and I can't even find where he patched! Hire this guy before everyone finds him and you can't get on his schedule..

Description of Work: Nothing performed. Came over for estimate. Said it'd be a week before we'd get an estimate in writing after his visit. Then he contacted us the next week saying he'd need another week. Then that next week left us a message and we called back a few minutes later and got voicemail. No return call. We tried calling again the next day and left another message and still no call back. We had a big interior project, so it would have been worth their time.

Description of Work: I wanted an estimate for painting the exterior of my house. It took him a week to call me back. He came out and looked around, and told me he'd get back to me in 3 days. It has been 10 days and no word from him.

Description of Work: I just bought a big deal on Angie's Last week and already the service provider has completed the job! Premium Home Improvement, owned by Walter J. Glisson and his son, Michael, did a wonderful job of painting the interior of my very dirty garage. He gave me good advice about what type of paint was best for the space and discussed options for patching and repairing areas. I would recommend him even at full price for someone needing a space painted.

Description of Work: We have used Premium Home Improvement on 2 separate occasions and each time, they have been punctual, professional and have done a great job. They do quality work at affordable prices for both interior and exterior painting. They will be finishing a 3rd project for me for outside painting and I'm sure it will be the same good job as the other two.

Description of Work: Contacted the painter by phone on a Monday re repainting my exterior front stairs, posts and porch in front of door. References on Angies List were good from people having similar partial exterior paint jobs done. He took my address and phone number, said he would go by the house and estimate the job on Tuesday or Thursday and either leave a written estimate or call me. I never heard from him again. ($425, I could be high or low.)
