On the day the work was to be done, Jose the forman arrived with a 4 man crew. Instructions were given on what was to be done. Then he left and they started the work. First the old gutters and downspouts was removed. Then they installed the aluminum soffit and fascia. There was a small section of rotten wood soffit that had to be cut out and replaced with new wood, before being covered with aluminum. Then the gutters and downspout were installed. I watched as they work and could tell they did thing the the right way, no short cuts on the work being done. These men did a great job. I'm glad I had Moore Construction do the work. I also had an estimate from another highly rated company on Angie's List that wanted $2800.00 more money. Glad I call Moore Construction.

I was very happy with their work. When they originally finished the work I found that they had coated some of the bricks on my building with the plastic coating. They tried painting the coating to get it to blend in with the rest of the brickwork. I didn't like the way it looked so they came back another time and put up flashing to cover up the coating. It looks very nice and they didn't charge me for it.

The estimate they gave me was higher than other estimates I received but they were very professional and helpful. They were happy to answer any questions.

Michael came out a couple of weeks prior to the job taking place and did a thorough inspection of the existing garage roof. I was noticing water leaks in the garage and some of the wood appeared to be rotting. He showed me that the old roof was not installed properly: no starter row of shingles installed and some sections did not overlap properly. The garage had no gutters. Michael suggested installing a gutter along one side where the eve did not hang far enough away from the building. Along this wall, I was noticing a buildup of algae on the base of the brick wall and sections of the mortar had been eroded more than others in the same spot. The garage also had a cupola on the top which was letting water in and falling apart (it was actually held together by wires). He also took measurements to provide an accurate estimate. Michael was very professional and made sure I understood his suggestions and asked about questions that I had. Michael sent out an estimate after coming out and after a few additional questions on the products he would use, I gave him the go ahead. Michael's crew came out early in the morning but had to wait a little bit before starting because of a light rain. After a while, it cleared and they started on the tear off of the old roof. Before starting the tear off, they put down tarps around the garage to collect the debris. After the old roof was off, they removed almost half of the plywood sheets that were on the roof because they were rotted. They replaced the old pieces with new ones. Michael's crew had done a very thorough job of replacing bad pieces of the decking material and even took out a few additional pieces that I didn't notice were bad. During this process I had previously instructed Michael to replace the cupola and just use newer style roof vents instead. His crew easily did this and had laid the new plywood sheets to cover the hole from the cupola. Once the new roof was in place, they next installed the gutter on the one side of the garage (which works perfectly). Then they did a very thorough clean up outside and inside the garage; I could not find a loose nail anywhere. After all of this was done and before the crew left, I received a check-in call from Michael to make sure everything looks good. I highly recommend Moore Construction for your roofing needs. This is my second time using them, and Michael will remain at the top of my list for roofers if I ever need work again.

Michael Moore came out to take a look at the roof. He was very knowledgeable, and very helpful as this is my first home and my first experience with home repairs. I had a few companies come out, but Moore came in at the best price and we felt the most comfortable with him. The work was schedule for a Tuesday but that day ended up being very stormy, and thus unsafe for roof work. Two workers came out a few days later instead and completed the job in a few hours. They were very professional, cleaned up all of their debris, and I am very happy with the work. When it comes time for a new roof for the rest of the house, and gutters, Moore Construction will be my first call.

Michael Moore, President, arrived on time to give estimate. He was very proffessional. His suggestions were clear and to the point, with a good explaination given if we weren't sure what he was trying to explain. We live in a two story Georgian. The downspout at the back of the house, over the rear addition was strange. Michael gave several different resolutions. We decided on one and the work was done quickly, clean-up was great!

The siding and attic windows on my house were old and in very poor repair. The paint on the windows was peeling, and the window glazing was crumbling. The siding had begun to pull away from the gable, and I suspected that carpenter ants had found entry into the house through rotted wood beneath. In short, I waited until I had a crisis on my hands before I scheduled the needed renovations. I had procrastinated for so long because having work done on my house stresses me out: I’m worried I’ll be overcharged, that I’ll be disappointed by shoddy workmanship, and that I’ll be overwhelmed with permits, product selection, and scheduling hassles. I spent a few months researching service providers, and based on reviews and price, I hired Moore Construction for my windows and siding project. Moore Construction has been a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Michael and his staff are professional, friendly, and helpful, and seem genuinely dedicated to complete customer satisfaction. They went "above and beyond" in every step of the job. Michael was a great collaborator and suggested an approach that ended up saving me money. He took care of all required permits, and dropped off a booklet containing siding swatches by my house. We had a few weather-related challenges during the project, but Moore’s office staff was proactive in their communication and in rescheduling the job. The installers worked extra hours to get as much work done as they could to make up for the lost time due to poor weather. I know I wasn’t the only or largest job Moore Construction had, but I always felt like I was a high priority. During the window and siding installation, Michael's staff was careful to inspect the existing wood around the old windows and under the siding to determine where ants might be getting in, and replaced all rotted wood. One of his employees thoughtfully offered to spray for ants around the new windows before the siding went up (based on his inspection he believed the ants were getting in through rotted wood around the old windows). Although the gable is on an unheated attic, Moore Construction added insulation underneath the new vinyl siding. I was concerned about water getting underneath the siding and penetrating the wood, and although it was probably unnecessary, Michael added an additional vapor barrier on top of the insulation at no additional charge. This fall I'm going to have a bathroom renovated at which time I will have a ceiling vent installed. I described the work to Michael; he installed a vent in the siding for the ceiling fan, also at no additional charge. My new windows and siding look fantastic, and thanks to Michael and his exceptional employees, my experience has been 100% positive. In addition to being proud of the new appearance of my home, the high quality of materials and workmanship give me complete confidence that the improvements will last for many years (and I haven’t seen an ant since!). Before this job, I had accepted that characteristics like honor, integrity, dedication, and professionalism, belonged to companies of a bygone era. Moore Construction has proven me wrong. When my roof wears out, I'll definitely be working with Michael Moore Construction again.

Michael proposed a great solution. Weather issues caused a delay of the work; the office staff was on top of alerting me to schedule changes. The team did exactly what they needed to and then went above and beyond, helping with a couple of other small issues with the downspouts

The existing seamless gutter system had been in place for at least 25 years. Over time, mitered corners had pulled apart, gutter hangers had become bent, and downspout elbows had started to leak in one or two places. Michael Moore, the owner, was quick to respond and to schedule a visit. His price was competitive; other companies submitted lower bids, but for a reduced scope of work that, in my judgment, would not be a permanent solution. His proposal was very detailed about the materials and techniques that would be used. The work had to be postponed twice due to inclement weather. Each time, Michael adapted to my schedule constraints. On the day of the work, Michael's crew started on time. They did a very nice job working around bushes and other plantings, and they left the site very clean when done. Michael was pleasant and easy to work with.

My ratings are based on the following. Last November, I e-mailed Michael Moore at Moore Construction to let him know that water was running down alongside the chimney and into my attic and kitchen below. The repair was still under warranty. No response from my e-mail. I then called the office and spoke with Gina. I gave her the particulars and asked that Michael call me. He never did. Two months later, I noticed the gutter corner and downspout at the back of the house leaking. When the Blizzard of 2011 hit, my back gate was covered in ice. The bottom of the gate was buried in 3" to 4" of ice. I could not move that gate until the thaw. Note that this repair lasted about two months after the warranty expired. The pine fascia boards that were installed on two sides of the garage were pieced on each side; not a full board for each side. The chimney cap was paid for but not installed. The proposal stated that I did not want a black chimney cap but Michael said that Home Depot only stocked black chimney caps. Michael offered to install two downspouts in the front of the house for cost (not at no charge) in lieu of the cost of the chimney cap. After all that, I'm glad I didn't take him up on that offer.

They were professional and courteous. They explained things as far as the process and materials that would be used. They were very thorough and they looked around the house for any improvements. They emailed a quote that laid out all the work that needs to be done and the pricing as well.

Mike Moore and the crew he assigned to my project earned my respect. They are all very professional and put in a very good day's work. They cleaned up after themselves and also hauled away the old gutters and antenna. The job had to be delayed two days due to heavy rain. Mike stayed in close communication by phone, and said they would be on the job as soon as the rain let up. Once the rain finally stopped, the crew arrived and the job went off without a hitch. I gave each member of the crew a good tip?they worked hard and definitely earned it. After the job was completed, I received an invoice by email. I put my check in the mail that same day. If you are in the market for a gutter or roofing job, I highly recommend that you consider Moore Construction. I found them on Angie's List and I now clearly understand why they are rated so highly. I am more than pleased to add my straight-A rating to the firm's collection.

Overall it went well. Due to an honest error on their part, they failed to fulfill one of the requirements that we had. I don't think it is serious. It involved a moisture shield on the roof. Sometimes, when there is a buildup of snow and ice on the roof followed by a thaw, the gutters and downspouts can remain clogged with ice and the water that the thaw produces can come up under the roofing on the backside. The moisture shield is basically a tarp that is extended under the roofing. It is installed before the shingles are put on. We requested a 6 foot moisture shield and through misunderstanding they provided a 3 foot one, which is 3 feet up the roof from the gutter. We have lived here for several years and the truth is there was no moisture shield there before at all. It is not tragic. It is just that they deviated from their own specification. The specification contained the features that they did not provide. The materials that they provided and the workmanship were fine. They just didn't do everything that was asked for. Everything they did was okay. They just didn't do everything that they had agreed to do. The labor was excellent. It is a good outfit. I would be happy to use them in the future.

I'm very pleased with Moore Construction. The many days of rain the previous week meant that they had to reschedule, but they let us know in plenty of time. Michael Moore, the owner, takes a hands-on approach. When he came out to do the estimate we talked about the design and changing the locations of the downspouts. I had some ideas and he had some better ones. He is very easy to work with. I asked about who would actually do the work (i.e. subs?) and he said that they don't sub-out their work. That sealed the deal for me. If they sub-out the work, who knows if the crew you get will do a good job or not? Also, I asked about safety precautions and the level of insurance they have on their folks, including workman's comp, and he provided details, which seemed more than adequate to me. The insurance was significant and their safety procedures are excellent. I wouldn't have anyone go up on my roof without knowing those details. It's just too risky. On the day of installation, he called to confirm aspects of the design we discussed, just to make sure there were no issues. When they were done with the job, he also called to re-confirm The finished product looks good and functions well. Their final price was what they quoted. I couldn't be happier with them I would give them a strong recommendation.

The repairmen showed up on time and proceeded to repair the damaged soffit and fascia. They completed the job within 2 1/2 hours. initially I was not 100% satisted. My concern was that the fascia board did not appear to be even with the rest of the soffit. I talked to Michael Moore - owner of company - and explained my concern. He stated he would have someone come out and take a look at the work. I received a call early the next day that someone would be out right away. The 2nd repairman took a look at the work. He explained to me that the original company that had installed the gutters failed to install flashing between the fascia and soffit which caused water seepage which caused the damaged wood. This made it difficult to keep the fascia board even with the soffit. I felt the 2nd repairman was able to satisfactorily answer my questions and concerns. He made a recommendation to keep an eye on the flow of the rainfall and if I saw rain seepage running down the sides of the house that flashing would need to installed.

The crew(between 4 to 7) arrived around 7:30 am and worked until dusk. Everything went efficiently, the owner (Mike Moore)was available to answer questions. His crew was courteous and i was very happy with the results. The price was very fair.

A most pleasant experience from beginning to end. Showed up for estimate on time (even a few minutes early), emailed proposal within a few days. Once we decided on them, the job was scheduled for the next week. The crew was friendly and efficient having all competed by the end of the day. They cleaned up the jobsite perfectly (wouldn't have even known they were here). We felt the price was fair and it was so easy we would definitely recommend them and use them again.

These guys did excellent work. Very professional, they were even cleaning my window sills after replacing the roof and gutters on my house. The day after they left I really couldn't find any signs that work was performed from a trash perspective. They perfomed he work like it was for their own house ( a quality that all copanies should strive for). highyl recommended, and I've actually already recommneded them to two of my neighbors

Absolutely great from estimate to finish. This is a great company. We felt the estimate was fair; workers were on time, worked all day with only a lunch break and were polite and efficient throughout. They checked with us on installing the rain barrels and made a helpful suggestion that we implemented. The yard was completely cleaned up when they were done and so far all I can say is excellent. Michael, the owner, called twice during the day to check on progress and our satisfaction. There was one minor issue and Michael was so fair about it that I can only say that you don't run across such honesty in business dealings very often in this world. This is a great company and they do great work. I'm just sorry they don't offer more services!

It was fantastic. The work was done in a day. The owner had contact with us and worked on the price with us. He didn't speak down to us. They were very professional all the way around. It was a wonderful experience.

I asked this company to come and give me a quote on a complete roof tear-off on a Victorian home. It will end up being approximately $30K job. They said they would come out and do a "drive by". But, they couldn't even manage that and never even gave me a quote. I don't understand how these people stay in business. There are hundreds of roofing companies, why pick one that can't even manage to give somebody a quote?

They did an excellent job. Initially, they came and gave an estimate. Later, once their job was done, they came and checked if I was satisfied with the services. I liked their work and will use the same in future.

We used Moore in 2009 for some roof/gutter repairs. We asked them to quote the current roof/gutter/soffit work along with several other roofers. Quotes were in a range from 6,500-10,000. We selected Moore based on our past experience and reviews on Angie's list. Once we approved we were called with a scheduled start date and sent samples to pick our materials. Work began as scheduled and took three days to complete, which was as promised. Work was well done and they cleaned at the end of each day. Michael touched base each day to let me know progress and to see if there were any issues or concerns. The lead person on site kept me informed as well. We are very happy with the final product. Roof has a 10 year labor guarantee and 30 year materials. Gutters/downspouts/soffits have a 5 year labor guarantee and 30 year materials. All the new materials look great with our building. On day one we reviewed the materials and were off a bit on our color selections for the metals as we needed to select from a book. Michael had material samples with him and we were able to change colors last minute which was much appreciated. The workers tore off the current roofs, gutters and downspouts. Did repairs as needed, replaced with new materials and covered our soffits with new aluminum soffits. All looks great and we will definitely use this company in the future for any roof work we need.

They did an inspection and sent an estimate in PDF. We sent it back to them with an electronic signature so we didn?t have to constantly play tag. They did the job within two weeks and then we paid online. They did everything like they said they would and they were here exactly when they said they would.

They were very good and they did a nice job. There were some leaks in the roof but it held up really well during the winter because this company did a very good job. They only problem I had with them is that they didn?t pick up on a window that needed covered around the back, but he was very willing to go back and do the window without charging us extra. He went back and capped another window for us once I called his attention to it; I appreciate that he was willing to go back when he missed something.
