It turns out I did not need to put on a new roof, but just needed some roof maintenance work. They reapplied silver coating to keep the heat off during summer. They also corrected the junction between my porch and the roof The only problem is they have yet to forward me photos of the finished roof.

Service was good crew left worksite clear of debris.

This company does not appear to need my business, so I don't intend to give it to them. I called Moore Construction a couple of weeks ago to see if I could get my gutters pulled out of the ground (where they now drain into the local village sewers) and cut and redirected. (This was to stop basement seepage and get rid of a very bad rotten leaf smell emanating from the gutters.) Anyway, this kind of thing requires warmish weather, and there was a spate of higher temps forecast for the next week, so I asked the office person if they would be able to work on this during the upcoming week. They promised to send someone the next week to do an estimate. I had to go to work and couldn't be there during the day, so I arranged a time when my son could be at home. But my son doesn't know anything about gutters, so I called Moore in advance to explain everything to the lady in the office. She promised to convey the information to the person who was coming to do the estimate. Well, I never figured out what happened because I received a phone message from Moore on the designated day at the designated time asking me what it was I wanted done on my gutters. (This was after the guy didn't show up on the first designated day -- there apparently was a mixup about the appointment day.) Anyway, I didn't receive this msg until the next day, so I called the office again and asked if they were able to do an estimate for the job. The lady clearly didn't know, and she couldn't be bothered to find out. She said she was sure that the guy had prepared an estimate, and she told me that I would get a written estimate "in the mail." I asked if she had any idea what the job might cost, and she didn't. She clearly wanted to get off the phone. Well, it's now 10-12 days after my initial call, and I never received an estimate. After this nonsense, I don't want to deal with Moore Construction, either. Don't waste your time and money with these people. There are other companies that want your business more.

We received a timely quote, and both Mr. Moore and the carpenter he recommended were professional and prompt. The project was spread over a few weeks, but each step went smoothly and quickly. The men who performed the work were excellent, and also kind to my two sons, who were very interested in what they were doing. I could not be happier with the results, or how they were achieved! I highly recommend this company!

They did the job in one day and I was very pleased.

Had a very good experience with this company. Michael Moore was very easy to work with, very nice and very knowledgeable. His employees were also very nice and professional - they were able to complete this extensive project in just 2 days. They work very quickly! When we needed them to come back out and fix some issues, they did so very quickly and without hesitation. They offer great warranties on their work proving they back it up. Also used this company for another small project (installing a roof vent) and he was able to make time in his busy schedule & quickly schedule and complete due to the time sensitivity of the project. Would recommend this company.

These guys do great work! We came late to the game of needing a new gutter put in this fall over our front porch entrance. You would think that two people slipping on the stairs in the past two winters would have been enough to plan a little better. After being told by a number of gutter companies that they just did not have time to do the work, I ran into Moore Construction on Angie's list. Great find! We have a vintage house built in 1898 and it needs the appropriate 1/2 round gutters to match the style of its period. Moore came out quickly and did an estimate on the work, no problem doing the 1/2 rounds. Their estimate was 50% less than another Angie's list company. We contracted with them immediately. They scheduled us for about two weeks out. When the day was approaching they called to remind us they were coming and generally reviewed what we were going to have done. When they arrived the next day they were right on time. After surveying the job and clarifying a couple of design elements they were off and working. They finished quickly and left a spotless work area when they left. The work is absolutely top notch. The sealing of the seams on the interior of the gutter is done very well. We couldn't be happier with these guys or their work!!

He was the middle price and provided the most details in quote. They were at the house at the time and day they said. Work was done properly and quickly. The workers made sure I was happy before they left and Michael called as well to follow up

I got quotes from a couple vendors on Angie's list and these guys were the most competitive. The crew showed up right on time. Mike called me just before they got there, and towards the end when they were done to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. Work was done well, finished promptly, jobsite cleaned up, no problems! Would recomend and use them again in the future.

They were punctual and communicative. They provided the estimate without sounding like a hard-sell job and gave me enough information so that I could accurately compare theirs to other quotes. They let me know what was going on at each step, and they discussed information without being dismissive of my concerns. They cleaned up well and were finished on time. I'd definitely go with them all over. Because of a mis-communication, they did not remove the satellite dish to add new shingles below the base (which is small), but instead worked around it; when I talked with them about it, they offered to leave an extra packet of shingles with me in case we or a future owner would want to remove the dish permanently. I took them up on the offer. Roof looks great.

Moore construction was one of the 3 companies we contacted for quotes on the work. Michael came on time within a week to provide an estimate. He is very professional with keen eyes on the details. His price was very competitive with the MOST detailed quote out of the 3 companies contacted. He also explained the exact need for gutter sizes, etc., things others did not provide. Michael has been in business for a long time with a well-established crew. He took time time to explain what was needed and provided additional info via email when asked. I was very impressed by his professionalism. Unfortunately in the end we went with another company for reasons that have nothing to do with Moore construction. I highly recommend Michael's company and we hope to use them in the future.

I called them to have a quote done on my home for a chimney repair and cap placement as well as downspout repair. The receptionist told me that they were too busy for small jobs. After I told her I was an angie's list member, she checked the schedule and couldn't fit me in for an estimate until 9 days later. Being that my downspout leaks right against my house, i cannot wait. I need this repaired before the next rain.It's unfortunate as I am just starting a 100 year old home renovation project. This was on the immediate fix list while I pursue additional bids for my full house renovation.

I think you'd have a hard time finding a more responsive contractor. Gina in the office gets back to voice and email messages immediately. Michael was always easy to reach and totally up-to-speed on what was happening at the work site. They were both very fast in getting the crew back out to finish up some loose ends and tweak an area that showed signs of trouble after the first big rain post-project. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

They were responsive. It's a year later, and things seem to be working out.

Moore's work, as usual, was very good. The repair looks very solid and we don't expect any more problems. The only minor issue we had was communication. I had to call 3 times and wait a little over a week, as they were very busy. I just felt that they could have told be up front that it would be several days. Instead, I had to call 3 times to get a definitive plan. This is the second time we've used Moore, and I would still call them again. Every company can have a tough week and they do very good work.

This was a smooth transaction from start to finish. Mike came when he said he would, was very personable, but he was also the most professional of the 4 companies I got a quote from. His quote was not the cheapest, but it was the most detailed so you knew exactly what work was going to be performed. His quote was ready within 3 days, and all questions were answered within a couple hours when I e-mailed. They also sent by mail a rather nice packet of information about the company and the products they would be installing. The roof was put on a couple weeks later when it was warm and projected to be dry. It took 3 days. They tiddied up each night, and on the last day they made sure they got everything. Roof looks fantastic, we have only had a couple inches of rain since, but there haven't been any leaks so far.

They were prompt, their quote was good. When they couldn't be here, someone came to my door to tell me that he would not be able to be there. When they started the roof, they came at 7:30 in the morning and did it all in one day. They didn't leave until they finished the job. The owner gave a great quote, and did an excellent job. I have given their name to others and will use them again in the future if we need anymore work done.

I had been having a couple of water leak issues, water flowing over my gutters and ice issues on one downspout. I have a very steep roof with peaks including a difficult area for gutters and downspouts. I also wanted to relocate a downspout. Michael gave me recommendations for how to improve the water flow and help some of the water issues including how to improve the aesthetics. They completed all the work on my house in one day, were very courteous and professional and thorough. I very much appreciated the attention to detail in not only functionality, but also appearance. They also fixed an area unrelated to the gutters that had also been contributing to my water issues. I'm very happy with the work, and so far haven't had the issues that I had prior.

I called these folks back in September to have someone give me an estimate to fix my leaking gutters. First, I was told that someone would come only between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm. I was not able to take off of work so a member of the office staff said someone would do a "drive-by" and someone would get back to me. I never heard from them. Very disappointing.

Hired Moore construction for repair of some roof leaks. After contacting several companies on Angies list, chose Moore due to their very complete plan for repairs, reasonable price, and professionalism of Michael when he came out for the assessment. Once work began, workers always showed up punctually and worked very professionally, cleaning up after each visit. A few unexpected problems came up after initial repairs and Michael was always very responsive and made a number of follow up visits until the leak was completely fixed.

We just moved into our house and during a heavy rain storm, noticed that water was pouring out of the gutter seams. Called Moore Construction and set up an appointment for someone to come and look for an estimate. Michael himself came, and it was raining at the time, so he could see the problem right away. He discussed the options, which were repair or replacement. He explained the pros and cons of each and said he would send a proposal for both scenarios. We decided to replace the gutters and downspouts. We sent back the signed proposal and the office emailed me with an installation date. The day of installation, 3 crew members came, plus a supervisor, and they immediately began work, removing the existing gutters and making the new ones on site. They finished our 2500 sq ft cape cod in under 8 hours and took all debris with them, and thoroughly cleaned all around the outside of the house. We are incredibly satisfied with Moore Construction, from start to finish and we are using them again to fix leaks in our roof. I recommend them to family and friends who need this kind of work done.

Workers arrived promptly. Installation was accomplished quickly and well. Completely cleaned up afterward. A great experience. I recommend this company with confidence.
