KONRAD'S HELPING HANDS

Description of Work: I hired Konrad's to clean my home on 12.23.2009 in preparation for the Christmas holiday. Diane's crew was nearly 3 hours late. She agreed to send 4 employees (our home is 5,000 square feet) out to clean our home, but sent 2 individuals, plus a driver, and tried to represent that the driver was going to clean also. Thus, only 2 individuals were charged with cleaning our home. The individuals, once they arrived kept on going in and out of the house, walked through our home with their outdoor shoes on, which were covered in snow and salt. When the individuals showed up, I asked them where the other individual was, and they told me that he was outside doing the windows. When I pushed them on how an individual could be "doing windows" in below freezing weather, they told me that they had a new dog in their van that needed to be kept warm, and the other individual was tending to the animal. I asked the women, who were continually entering and exiting my home to just leave. I paid them for cleaning our lower level area, because they told me that they'd completed that. So, I gave them $50. However, once I inspected their work, I saw what a horrible job they'd done. There were cob webs everywhere and they'd done a poor job. I called Diane, the owner, to complain and told her that I wanted my money back, felt extremely uncomfortable with her workers, and was furious because I was left in a lurch in preparation for my holiday dinner. She told me that the problem was that she wasn't with her crew and she thought she'd sent her best crew. Diane had the audacity to ask me if I would hire her agency again. I told her that I wanted a refund of the amounts that I'd given her workers. She told me that she would be more than happy to reimburse my money, and still has not to this day done so.

Description of Work: An apartment that had been trashed by the former tenants needed a top-to-bottom cleaning. As it is a rental, I needed it done ASAP and for a reasonable price. The Konrad's team swept in and took care of it quickly and professionally, even working after hours to get it done. Many other services are offered by Konrad's and I had them repaint the apartment too. That also was done quickly and professionally.
