Everything was seamless. Greg came to confirm we had electrical wires running into the backyard and helped guide me on what to purchase. He stayed in contact while I ordered all the parts and was able to come on our requested week day when we had everything. Install went great and the light/post turned out perfect - exactly what we wanted.

Duplex Electric - Greg & Steve did the work in the time frames quoted. The work took 1 1/2 days and they were very prompt, professional and answered all questions to my satisfaction. I am very impressed and will definitely have them back to do more work as my funds permit. Thank you Greg & Steve!

What was supposed to be an easy job, turned into some unexpected complications. The electrician that did the original wiring on our house had poor craftsmanship. It was difficult to figure out where one of the switches was for the light. After much problem tasking, Duplex electricians figured out the problem and were able to install the light. They cleaned up some of the extra wiring that was not needed. It ended up being an extra 2 hours of work that was not planned in the project, but we are very happy that they took the time to fix the problem. We are very happy with the work and highly recommend them. They were referred to is by my mother. They have done wonderful work for her, including installation of can lights, outdoor waterfall installation and multiple projects. We have found our go to electrician.

Very well. They were incredibly professional and fastidious - ideal qualities in electricians. They performed all the work outlined in the proposal, and did not go over the proposed amount by much. As with all old houses, you really never know what is behind the walls until someone really looks - we expected overages, although the additional work was only 4% over the original proposal, which we did not think was significant. They are likely on the higher priced end of the scale, but as is always the case, you get what you pay for - and we wanted, and got, excellant workmanship, so we were fine with the cost. They timely arrived to work, worked very hard, and completed the project on time. And all the lights worked in the house when the left! I would highly recommend Greg and Steve (i.e. Duplex) for any electrical work.

The project went just as planned and according to the estimate. Greg and Steve are brother/owners of Duplex and do the work themselves according to all electrical standards and codes. They showed up on time, were very professional, and did a top quality job. They did a thorough clean up before departing. Bottom line, I would highly recommend them to other Angie's List members.

There had bad a small electrical fire on our porch, unknown to us. He replaced the outlet to a GFI so that something like this wouldn't happen in the future. He also checked out the breaker panel and outside feed from Commonwealth Edison to ensure that they were in good working order and, above all, safe. We were very impressed with the professionalism of Greg and his partner. We felt that the problem had been addressed thoroughly.

I called on Monday. Got a call back to schedule on Tuesday. Was scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Greg was there right on time. The entire job took 30 minutes. That's why I thought it was a little pricy, they have a $125 first visit charge. The rest of the money was for the GFI. They were clean, prompt and professional. I would be happy to use them again in the future.

These two guys will give you the highest quality work of any electrical firm out there. They are perfectionists to a fault, and highly reliable. Note that you'll pay for this a bit, but the prices are still fairly good. They will always back up their work.

It went great. After the initial inspection, Duplex sent me a detailed written proposal of the work to be done with an itemized list of costs. After I notified them of acceptance of the proposal, they came within a week to do the work. They used booties on their shoes, which was considerate. They worked quickly and efficiently, but always answering any questions I had and explaining all their work. Furthermore, they found a light switch that was not grounded and fixed that automatically, which was great and showed me the old wiring in the house recommending that we eventually rewire the old parts of the house (the house is from the 40's as is the wiring). The price was fair for the quality of work and since there were two men working. I would definately use Duplex again.

My wife and I bought a new home a couple months ago. There were some minor electical things that needed work, but the big items (for us) were that we wanted a light outside out back door, and the flood lights on the garage didn't work. When I called, they described what they would do for us, and told us that we may need to do restoration work if walls needed to be opened up for the work. They almost needed to open up a wall during the project to finish installing the electrical receptical for the outside light, but they improvised to help me save restoring the wall. They were very professional, kept me in the loop while they fixed various items in the house, and the price was what I considered the going rate. They arrived on time. They did not overcharge for materials provided (in some cases, I think they charged less than if I had bought the item at a home improvement store). They improvised where needed. Overall, they did a great job. I will definitely use them again and recommend them.

They did such an excellent job you could put it up in a magazine. They were neat, did it straight through, and there were not a lot of phone calls from the outside. I hate cell phones. They are a family firm that is just top notch. It was a pleasure to work with them. Their price was right were I thought it would be.
