Joel was extremely pleasant to work with. After listening to our needs, he came up with a plan for our small and dysfunctional closet that is now perfect. The worker who installed the closet called when he was close to the house, was prompt, tidy and efficient. I even received a follow up call and thank you card after service was complete. Will definitely use this company in the future and will recommend to anyone. I've used Angie's list for years, but have never submitted a report until now. This company was great!

The men at Crooked Oak were fantastic in every way. Not only were they completely professional, punctual, responsive, etc., but they were very smart and creative with ideas in a way that we had not experienced with any other company from whom we had requested estimates. For our loft, which had slanted roofing, they were the only company that could give us what we wanted in the way of a closet. I believe the reason for this is simply that they do truly custom work. The other companies that we spoke to must work within a particular scale, and so they are somewhat limited in what they can offer you. Crooked Oak came up with a brilliant proposal that utilized our space most efficiently and gave us more options and they did it for a very reasonable price - in some cases much less than their competition. Additionally, once work began, I decided on a change in plan with part of the closet and they were very accommodating and were able to work it in for me. On top of all of this, I was ill with a fever of 101 the first day of installation. Since my husband was out of town, I kept my 2 year old home from school fearing that I wasn't in any shape to drive. I also have a 4 month old at home, so keeping my 2 year old out of trouble during the installation was a bit of a challenge. Not only were the men patient with my little one, they were even sweet to her. One of the men let her put in some shelf pins and they let her hang out with them for a while during the work. I know this must have been a little annoying, but they were great. There was one unexpected snag during the installation which caused a delay in finishing the project, but they handled it within a couple of business days and to our satisfaction. I was extremely pleased with the end results. We love the work that they did.

We looked at 4 vendors and Crooked Oak provided the best price/service combination. Crooked oak was fair and responsive during the quote, design, and negotiation process. Their installation was prompt and as per contract. They returned once to for a brief fix for a sticking drawer.

I contacted Joel through Angie's list and got very quick response. He came out, I told him what we wanted to do, and he gave me honest and thorough feedback. He then very quickly sketched out a design which was way better than we had thought of for what we needed and the space it was going in. Very professional and extremely creative, vision oriented and open to collaboration. His quote took a little longer than others we talked to, but it included really great drawings which were really nice to visualize what was going to be. His quote was very competitive. We ended up going with a different contractor only because my requests for follow up information went unanswered. My hunch is that they were busy because his work looks phenonmenal. I still question if we should have waited somewhat...

Their design ideas were the best out of 4 companies I interviewed, and they came in the middle on priced but worked with me to get it in our budget and added some extra options. Very professional and the installers were efficient and very professional. Systems look like they were cut and installed to perfection.

They were less expensive, but the company I chose could do everything custom. Crooked Oaks used only standard sizes and I needed odd sizes. If I had standard size things I would work with them in the future. I felt the quality he was offering was great and the price was excellent.

Overall, I found the Crooked Oak experience to be great. They completed the work within the timeframe that was quoted. Also, they were very responsive and they answered all of my questions promptly. The only issue that we had was the the desk that originally built did not fit correctly so the desk had to be re-sized, causing a delay of a three days. This delay was not a big deal to me. The space that the desk was made for has very uneven walls so I did not find this change surprising.

They were great. They were on time and on budget and just did a great job. Their pricing may have been a little more than other companies, but it was definitely well worth it.

We were emailed a proposal which looked to accommodate our space perfectly. But the proposal was sent a day later than promised (4 days after the visit). All and all, Joel was very nice to work with, had wonderful ideas and was very professional. We will definitely consider him for future needs.

For the most part, we were very happy with the service. Crooked Oak was very competitive on the pricing and delivered a well-designed product. The only issue was some damaged caused during installation, which the installer first denied had occurred. Once Joel got involved, he apologized and the problem was remedied.

Joel was the first to respond to our inquiry, within 1 day, and was super flexible with our availability to meet early morning on a weekday. He was courteous and professional while surveying our closets, and answered all of our questions and concerns. His design was our favorite and his price was right in line with the other two vendors we received quotes from. Within three weeks of signing the contract, Joel's team was able to install our closets. The new closets look amazing, and we had little to no cleanup to deal with afterward. We love them!!

Joel was really nice and we scheduled an appt. for the following week, and he explained how the process works. We ended up deciding to do some remodeling on some of the closets first...so we have to push this project off. I called and canceled and they were very nice about it and said they can come out whenever we are ready for them.

Great experience and great results! In September, Crooked oak revamped the two walk-ins and I was so pleased I had them come back last week and redo the pantry and the two smaller reach-in closets for us. Joel is great to work with and the installers were on-time, professional and pleasant. My husband was not really on board with these projects at first due to the cost. Even he couldn't believe the transformation and how well the closets turned out. I would highly recommend this company and I will certainly use them again in the future.

I was very pleased with the work Crooked Oak did. Joel did computerized drawings based on measurements I provided then met with me to go ever everything. They offer several finish options at no additional charge and were ready to install right away. They were great about getting with me for changed, to get the keys and work with other vendors timelines at the same time. They matched the next lowest bid on price also, that was very nice. I am waiting on them to make a few small changes now that we are actually using the closets, but they are guarenteed for life and I was told that they would make any changes we needed anytime. I am pleased with the work and the customer service. I will call them again if we choose to do more closets.

THIS IS MY SECOND CLOSET WITH CROOKED OAK, AND I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM: PROFESSIONAL, PROMPT, RESPONSIVE, CREATIVE, HARD-WORKING, PRICE-COMPETITIVE, AND FOCUSED ON QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I NEEDED A NEW CLOSET BEFORE MY TENANTS MOVED IN, AND THEY DELIVERED A GREAT LOOKING, SECURELY INSTALLED CLOSET SYSTEM WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF THE DATE THEY CAME OVER TO MEASURE AND GIVE AN ESTIMATE. THEY SAVED ME TIME AND MONEY BY REMOVING AND DISPOSING OF THE MURPHY BED THAT WAS ALREADY IN THE CLOSET, AND PATCHING THE CLOSET BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW SYSTEM. I HAD ORIGINALLY CHOSEN CROOKED OAK OVER FOUR OTHER COMPANIES TO INSTALL ANOTHER CLOSET BECAUSE THEY WERE THE ONLY ONES WHO COULD TRULY CUSTOMIZE A SYSTEM WITH A ROUNDED CORNER AND SHORTENED SIDE TO PRESERVE ACCESS TO THE GAS METERS BEHIND A PANEL AT ONE END OF THE CLOSET. FURTHERMORE, THEY ARE LOCALLY OWNED AND MUCH MORE PLEASANT TO WORK WITH THAN THE PUSHY, COMMISSION-BASED SALES PEOPLE FROM OTHER COMPANIES.

INITIAL QUOTE WAS DONE IN AUGUST 2004. WORKED WITH JOEL TO REFINE DESIGN. I WAS NOT ABLE TO HAVE WORK DONE UNTIL FEB 2005, BUT JOEL KEPT FILE UNTIL I COULD HAVE WORK DONE. WAS GIVEN ACTUAL SAMPLE OF WOOD PIECES TO HELP DECIDE ON FINISH FOR CABINET. WORKERS WERE PROFESSIONAL AND CLEANED UP AFTER INSTALLATION.

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST HOME OWNER RENOVATION EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD! I HAVE HAD TILE WORK, CARPETING, WOOD FLOORS, BATHROOM GUTS, BUT NOBODY HAS SURPASSED MY EXPECTATIONS LIKE THIS COMPANY. CROOKED OAK WAS ABLE TO TAKE WHAT WAS CRAMPED AND UNUSED STORAGE SPACE AND TURN IT INTO BEAUTIFUL ORGANIZED CLOSETS THAT LOOK LIKE FURNITURE THEMSELVES! THE BEST PART, THEY DID IT FOR THE BEST PRICE AROUND ONLY $2,200 FOR THE ENTIRE JOB WHICH WAS MONEY WELL SPENT. I WAS ABLE TO GET RID OF 2 OLD UNSIGHTLY STORAGE CHESTS TOO. I AM HAPPY TO SUPPORT A LOCALLY OWNED COMPANY (I MET BOTH OWNERS). ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES WERE NOT ONLY PROFESSIONAL IN PRESENTATION AND APPEARANCE, BUT PUNCTUAL IN EVERY MEETING, AND RESPECTFUL OF WOMEN AND MY TIME (WHICH IS HARD TO FIND THESE DAYS!). I FELT COMFORTABLE ALLOWING THEM ACCESS TO MY HOME WHICH SAYS A LOT. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE UNIQUE SOLUTIONS THEY HAD TO SOLVING MY STORAGE ISSUES VS. THE COMPETITORS AND WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY THEIR CLEAN-UP.
