ARROWHEAD BRICK PAVERS

I would have to say from start to finish Arrowhead could be the best company I have ever dealt with. The owner Mark, did an excellent job communicating on exactly how the process would proceed, what materials would be used, how the materials will be applied and lastly how my landscaping would be put back to original form. My driveway turned out better than I expected. Arrowhead did such a remarkable job that I have had strangers stop by my house and ask who was performing the work. His crew foreman made sure the workers followed my city codes and kept my job site very clean. They are very professional and they all strive for perfection. Mark is a perfectionist and you can tell he takes pride in his work.

Absolutely great experience with this company. Jim (one of the partners) was extremely helpful to answer all of my questions and work with me on the design and the details of installing my new patio. They regraded my yard to create a proper pitch and installed 300 sq. ft. of pavers just in 2 days, working from morning till evening. The crew was extremely punctual and proffesional. Almost a year later now my patio still looks like brand new, no problems whatsoever. Couldn't be happier with the job and the communication process. Highly recomended company. They surely deserve their A+ rating! Thank you Arrowhead, thank you Jim!

The whole job from start to finish went smoothly. We had some rain weather delays which delayed them getting other jobs done so they could get to me which wasn't their fault. Jim who is also part owner gave me my estimate. It was nice knowing that besides him being a part owner he was also a former installer and therefore very knowledgeble. I wasn't going to have my front concrete step refinished with pavers thinking I would save a little money and it was still in great shape but Jim said the transition from asphalt driveway to pavers to concrete step might not look good and he was right it looked great when it was done. The price was in the middle from all four of my estimates. But they had also done a matching paver patio for me about eight years ago for a hottub which has held up great so I did not want to go with a cheaper price and went with my past experience. The installers with daniel the foreman in the lead did a great and hard working job in the hot weather. I kept them supplid with water and bought them pizza for lunch one day. I also had to run out myself cause I noticed I wouldn't be able to run my landscape light wiring around my step anymore so I purchased some pvc pipe and daniel gladly placed it under my pavers so I could lace my wires through. They also cleaned up well and I am so confident I just had Jim out last week to give me another estimate for some more pavers off my driveway.

This is an excellent company and personnel to do business with. Estimate was thorough, very professional and contract was detailed. Work started as promised with timely finish. Landscaping was repaired as promised and any concerns were promptly remedied to my satisfaction. The patio and sidewalk look terrrific and would highly recommend this business for your next paver project. One caution: If any sawing of brick is needed, remove everything and/or cover. The dust is ubiquitous!

I had to call 3-4 times before they would return my call. I explained to them what I needed done. What bothered me most is they were right in my neighborhood.

Design: I gave a detailed design to Bill and he took dimensions from the back yard to come up with a final foot print. He worked with us adding and removing areas, walls and features to stay within our budget. He used his experience to tweak the fire pit location and some of the curves and shapes of the edges. Overall I was very happy with the final design. Deck removal: Two guys came over the weekend and removed the deck. They did a great job removing the ledger board from the house with minimal damage to the siding. Patio Install: Patio install went relatively well. There was a large tree stump under the proposed new patio. When we had the tree taken down and stump ground down (by another contractor) we assumed it would be no problem for the patio. Arrowhead said the first contractor did not grind down the stump far enough, so Arrowhead suggested we rent a stump grinder. We paid Arrow head an additional $350 to have them grind out the stump. In the end they still had to raise the entire patio about 4-5" above the existing grade. This made using our outdoor faucet a little awkward, but they took the initiative to do a brick cut out to facilitate the hose bend. Additionally, they recognized that the raised patio would impact the intake for the high efficiency furnace and added additional PVC fittings to re route it. They also graded from the patio to the lawn and applied sod. I would have liked the patio to be flush with grade but in the end it worked out alright. Although, by raising the patio I believe they incurred considerable cost savings that were not shared with us. Specifically their excavation costs were drastically reduced. We had requested and paid an additional $500 to have two steps off the house (not just one), so there was not an immediate drop step off the door. Since the entire patio was raised only one step was needed, reducing the amount of brick and labor for the step. All and all the patio looks great and I am satisfied with overall patio results. Fire pit: Here comes the challenging part. In the contract they were supposed to run gas pipe from an existing outdoor line to the new brick fire pit. At final inspection I noticed that there were no terminations on the pipe such that I could easily connect my fire pit ring nor tie into the existing line as discussed during the design meeting. Additionally a tracer wire was never buried with the pipe. There was a bit of back and forth over scope and payment for a couple weeks. Finally the owner stepped in worked with me, an experienced plumber and the city to rectify the situation. Arrowhead came back and ran the tracer wire under the bricks and moved the valve location in the fire pit. You cannot even tell bricks were removed and replaced. Again despite a few set backs in cost and schedule the fire pit met code, passed inspection and looks great. Conclusion: As with any large project there were some obstacles, some arguments and some compromises. My advice would be to have the utilities ran prior or have Arrowhead work with their plumber and install the utilities with the patio. In the end they met the expectations of a detailed oriented engineer. I would use Arrowhead again and highly recommend them.

He came right on time for our appointment. He sent us a plan and he followed up. We were just looking for a different scope of work.

They worked hard and they did great work. They did it like it should be done.

They seem to be a very reliable company. They have a landscape architect named Bill Liss, whom I am very impressed with. He went out of his way to make sure he returned my calls or e-mails within a couple of hours; it doesn’t matter if it is a weekend or weekday. He worked with whatever I asked him to do with my own terms and conditions about the kind of plants I wanted to use and did not want to use, relocate, and not kill some of my plants, and so forth. He was just very open and receptive to my ideas. He had very good ideas of his own too. The last thing that impressed me was that at the time we signed the contract of landscaping, he did not have a couple of bushes so he put three replacement bushes which was not something we had agreed upon, but he said if the ones that I had agreed upon became available, he would come and put them in. A month and a half later, on his own, he called me and said that those bushes were available and said he was going to find them, come by, and replace them. He also said I need not be home. So one fine day, when I drove in home, he was out there all by himself digging away and replacing the bushes. It was a very comforting and good experience using them; they seem to be the kind of service that I would go back to just because they lived up to all they stood for. Their price was right up there for the value that I got.

They are very professional. They showed up on time for consultation. They have plenty of reference material to show me examples of work that they have done. They are excellent. They are expensive.

They were very good, but they haven't come back to fix a couple bricks that sank. They did everything properly though, and I love the half circle they made in the front of my house. They are fantastic and made a beautiful pattern. They had reasonable pricing and great deals.

They did a great job. They were flexible in scheduling and were able to accommodate our requested install date. Showed up promptly at stated time and completed the project by mid-afternoon. Professional crew and quality craftsmanship. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to use them again.

Our install occurred during the intense, early July heat wave, so the installers arrived early, around 7:30 am, which was fine, although they left each day around 3:30 pm. They spent the first day ripping out the old patio and leveling the ground to prepare for the new patio on the first day. Overall, the install team did a lovely job with our patio. We did, however, have issues with cleanliness and communication. Our patio was only supposed to take 2 days. At the end of the second day, the install team left without informing us that they were unable to finish the job the day before the July 4th holiday. We didn't realize they had left until it had been too quiet it the yard. We didn't appreciate that no one came to our door or called us to let us know that this two day job would become a four day job, due to the holiday. We had to cancel our plans for the holiday, and, on top of that, our fence (where panels had to be removed for the team to easily install) were not put back together at the end of ANY of the days they worked, with the exception of the day the project was completed, and tools and materials were left in the yard, so it wasn't even safe to have our potty training puppy out in the yard. We instead had to deal with bathroom issues in our house until the patio was finished.When we finally spoke with our salesmen about the communication issue and the fact that our yard was a mess and our puppy or friends couldn't come over for the holiday, all we got was an "I'm sorry." For the amount of inconvenience this caused our family, and the issues it caused over a holiday weekend, this seemed entirely insufficient. We were really disappointed through the entire process and, since the communication did not improve for the remainder of the project, we are not too inclined to use Arrowhead again. But, I will admit, our patio does look very nice.

Our experience with Arrowhead was exceptional from the first phonecall to the final day of construction. Bill Liss, our sales rep, was exceptionally knowledgeable about the product and process and was extremely punctual with visits and phonecalls. He kept us up-to-date on the projected starting date as the project approached. He was on-site twice during actual construction to check on the progress of the work. The crew was fantastic. They were extremely punctual and exceptionally conscientious in their end-of-the-day cleanup. They worked diligently for five full days (5-6 days was the estimate) during a heat wave that saw "real-feel" temperatures above 100 degrees. Their final touch-ups (trimming an existing fence gate to clear the walk, removing a few patches of additional sod, re-setting a fencepost in concrete) reflected their desire to be sure our satisfaction was paramount. In short, if I were to require additional paver work in the future (a driveway, for example) I would call Arrowhead immediately. I have already recommended and will continue to recommend them to friends and neighbors. It's been an incredibly positive experience overall.

The work done Mark, Jim and his crew was absolutely excellent! Jim was able to give an estimate on the initial call, which I thought was great! They came in as scheduled and completed the patio in 2 days. The crew was professional and respected our property. After the initial base was dug out, I asked the Foreman if we could have some of the extra dirt for our creek bed. Not only did he give the dirt to us, but he took it down to the creek bed and put it in the 3 different sections we needed it without me even asking! We had one loose brick step after the project was finished and the crew was gone. I called and asked that it would be fixed. Jim called and arranged a time to come out and fix it and he was out quickly to fix it. Overall, the patio is beautiful! Also, the patio is under a 4 year warranty.

We replaced an old wood deck with paver patio for about 700 sqf, and added a walk path from drive way to the patio. Bill came in, did a design that matches the house, and came up with a competitive estimate. He gives a very detailed break down regarding almost everything and I sure don't get such things from other contractors. We like the way he presents it and given the reviews here, we decided to go with him. The job took quite a few days, tear down the old deck, consolidate the ground, and etc. There was some dust when dealing with old concrete stuff, but I guess that's a must to finish the job. The finished patio is very beautiful, actually got quite a few compliments from several contractors when we discussed other projects. After several snow in the winter, the patio is as good as new and I'd definitely recommend Arrowhead for anybody who wants a patio.

They were very professional and did very good work. They showed up at anytime they said they would. The follow-through was great. I have nothing bad to say at all.

Bill, the salesman (for Arrowhead), came out promptly to give an estimate. He took his time and provided a lot of information, choices, and Arrowhead?s procedure, as far as the installation. Bill was very polite, professional, and friendly. I felt comfortable as soon as we started talking. He was also ready to assist with any follow-up questions. Salvadore, the installation foreman was also polite, friendly, and professional. He answered any questions I had during the installation. The installation went without any problems. Salvadore and his crew did an excellent job, and thoroughly cleaned up everything before they left. I am very satisfied with the entire process. I would definitely recommend Arrowhead to anybody.

Great communication. Workers left the site clean daily. As described I had 5 estimates done. My requests were simple. Make it look nice, easy to maintain and ready for the home to be on the market. My father now in assisted living when seeing it regretted not doing this years ago. I highly recommend Arrowhead Brick Pavers.
