Tree fell before work was begun. Stumps and brush was left for 35 days before he returned to complete work and do cleanup. Texts and phone calls were rarely responded to. I let him know i was going to start legal proceedings and he came and completed work. This was a 1-day job according to the contract.

I paid $7950.00 for work to be done at my home. I was attempting to have my yard leveled and graded, and have 15 trees planted After promising to start on a Tuesday morning, he was a no show. Wednesday morning he arrived at 0600hrs. Stating that the rain the Sunday before delayed him (Sunday was a 15 minutes drizzle, and JULIE was here marking and flagging the work area), he proceeded to paint 3 X's on lawn to mark location where 3 trees were to be planted, then left. Thursday I waited until 1115hrs and called him. He attempted to tell more excuses, I then told him we were done! I no longer wanted his services, and wanted my money back. He stated that he did not have the money, but agreed to give me a refund. At 1513hrs. His wife Susan came to my door, after being rude, talking over me as I attempted to talk, I told her to get out of my home. Following her outside, I see Michael Honiotes near rented Bobcat on a trailer, and a rented dump truck with a small amount of dirt. They stated that trees ordered would be delivered later. I demanded a refund, which they have refused, and left. It should be noted that the grounds that needed work had to be graded and leveled, and the small Bobcat they brought was insufficient. Kankakee Police were notified and a Detective attempted to talk to them, and were advised to refund all or part of my money, again they refused. Illinois Attorney General Office also notified. This case will be heard on October 26, 2015 in Kankakee County small claims court.
