MARIANI LANDSCAPE

My current landscape detailing provider will no longer provide frequent service to my area. I decided to contact Mariani because they do garden maintenance detailing for a home in my neighborhood, and they also do landscape design. I originally contacted Mariani via their website contact page (twice), and after not hearing from them for several days, I left a message on their direct line. A few days after that, a representative called to say that they were in the area and would stop by to view my garden. That was on June 25, 2015. At that visit, Mariani told me that they are out of maintenance capacity, and detailing my house every other week as I do now wouldn't fit their schedule, but they could possibly add another crew if I would agree to a 1 hour weekly detailing. This option wouldn't give me the same number of work hours that I'm currently receiving, but I think it would be sufficient to keep the garden looking nice. Mariani said it would take about a week to get back to me because they were quite busy and had to figure out if they could handle my maintenance. I gave up on them after 3 weeks. I understand that they are busy, but they could have at least given me or call or sent an email letting me know that they weren't interested or that they were delayed. At the 4th week after the initial visit, Mariani showed up at my house without notice (there were two people this time) to once again view the garden. I should have told them to forget it at that point, but he said that someone would get back to me that afternoon. It's been 3 weeks since that day and still no contact from Mariani. If they are this bad in communication for new business, how difficult would it be to work with them on an ongoing basis? I understand that they have business pressure, but when you tell someone that you will get back to them and almost 2 months later still no word, well that is simply unprofessional.

Initially response time, etc. was great. Jen is very personable and knowledgeable. The final result looks great and I am very happy with the work. My only concern is with follow up calls. Once the contract was signed and the work was scheduled, there were two occasions where the work was scheduled on a specific date and it didn't happen. The first date didn't happen due to a delay in the perennial shipment. The second date slip was due to rain. I realize unexpected situations come up and dates have to be moved, but I didn't receive a call to let me know, and I had to be the one to call and find out where they were and what was happening. Those experiences shook my confidence.

It would have been professional to call back, even if she didn't want the job!

Fantastic! Jen was very helpful and considerate regarding our budget. They did a wonderful job and the total charges were even below the initial estimate.

THE EXPERIENCE WAS FANTASTIC. JEN AND TEAM WERE VERY RELAXED AND PERSONABLE. THEY TURNED UP ON TIME AND PROVIDED THE SERVICE WE AGREED ON AND WERE VERY FLEXIBLE WITH EXTRA REQUESTS. THE TEAM LISTENED TO THE REQUIREMENTS AND INTERPRETED WHAT WAS NEEDED. THEY WERE ONLY A PHONE CALL AWAY AND COULD ACCOMMODATE SCHEDULES, QUESTIONS AND OTHER CONTRACTORS. THE DESIGN THAT WAS CREATED HAD OPTIONS FOR A PHASED APPROACH, THEREFORE THE BUDGET FOR 2005 COULD BE ACCOMMODATED. THE TEAM WAS A JOY TO WORK WITH, AND WILL BE USED IN 2006 FOR THE NEXT PHASE!

JEN AND HER TEAM INSTALLED A BEAUTIFUL SPACE INTO THE FRONT YARD. JEN WAS EASY TO WORK WITH AND REALLY LISTENED WHEN WE TALKED ABOUT WHAT WE WANTED FOR THE SPACE. HER CREW WAS EFFICIENT, FRIENDLY, AND CLEANED UP WELL BEFORE THEY LEFT.

VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. JEN WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING IN SCHEDULING AROUND MY WORK HOURS, AND PROVIDED A VISUAL IMAGE OF WHAT OUR LANDSCAPING WOULD LOOK LIKE (NOT JUST A BLUEPRINT DRAWING), WHICH I THOUGHT WAS REALLY HELPFUL.

INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING. JEN QUANDT SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED A LANDSCAPE DESIGNER, JUST A LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE PERSON. I'M EMBARRASSED THAT WE SPENT $700.00 ON WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A RE-DESIGN OF OUR LANDSCAPING. WE SAT DOWN WITH HER FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS DURING THE INITIAL CONSULTATION AND EXPLAINED WHAT IT WAS WE WERE LOOKING FOR. SHE WAS VERY SLOW AND UNRESPONSIVE FOR THREE WEEKS, AND WE WERE SOOOO DISAPPOINTED THAT WE HAD TO WAIT SO LONG FOR BASICALLY A RENDERING OF WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE, WITH A FEW NEW BUSHES THROWN IN HERE AND THERE FOR GOOD MEASURE. WE COULDN'T BELIEVE IT TOOK HER 3 WEEKS TO PUT A PLAN TOGETHER THAT LOOKS LIKE SHE SPENT AN HOUR DOING IT. AND SHE DIDN'T LISTEN TO ANY OF OUR REQUESTS-- NOTHING WE SAID WE WANTED WAS INCLUDED IN THE HORRIBLE PLAN. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY!!! IF YOU WANT A GOOD MAINTENANCE PERSON, I'M SURE SHE'S ABLE, BUT IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A GOOD DESIGN, LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!

I RECEIVED AN ESTIMATE, AND THE WORK WAS PERFORMED, ALL WITHIN A WEEK OF MY ORIGINAL PHONE CALL. EVERYTHING LOOKS GREAT. THE CREW TOOK TIME TO CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES.

I RECOMMEND JEN QUANDT GARDEN DESIGN HIGHLY! HER CREWS ARE PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS, THEY ARRIVE PROMPTLY AS SCHEDULED, RESPOND TO REQUESTS, KNOW EXACTLY WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AND TOLERATE MY NAUGHTY DOG.
