Chris's Tile Restoration

WOW, Chris is totally amazing and is in a class of his own !!! I've had 2 previous contractors come in over the last few years, but truly felt that the original problem remained with expensive bandaid''s put over them. This time, I wanted somebody who knows his stuff, digs into the root cause, and fixes the problem for good. The tiled shower was leaking again, but I wasn't going for another bandaid, I was going for the GOLD, and this person was Chris. I'm an engineer and incredibly picky, but Chris simply goes for the grand slam each and every time. This time it involved removing tiles from the wall, digging out the damaged green board, pulling out the insulation, getting all the mold out, getting it dried, replacing questionable tiles, grouting, and viola, it looks utterly amazing. Chris even came with me to Home Depot to pick out the CORRECT shower head. But it gets even better as Chris exudes with confidence and overflowing with knowledge from everything from tiles, toilets, plumbing, you name it. He can quickly spot if anything was put in incorrectly and makes a spot on recommendation. And all of this for an amazing price that others would probably charge 2 to 3 times more for a mediocre job at best. Chris was so easy to reach and responsive, don't know how many times we texted each other. Honestly, even if I need help around the house for my many projects, I'm looking for a good excuse to bring Chris back to help as I utterly find his knowledge frank, honest, open, and with integrity. Chris, BRAVO to you, you ARE the best, I hope future clients will be knocking down the doors for your tile/grout/whatever expertise. Don't change a single thing you do, you are a rare gem.

First time using HomeAdvisor! I would give Chris probably more than three stars since he did a nice job until what happened lately! We got him to fix leak in the shower, he came up with suggestions ended up replacing the bath wall and floor work in the master bathroom. Started on February 2018 and finally done on June! After using the shower for a couple of months we had tile issues, they popped out. We called him and he came to look at it, when he came, he was angry and tensed, took off three bull-noses and of course they broke. He asked if we sat on the bench and we didn't, and if we used the Jacuzzi and yes two times. He supposed to come and fix the mess on Sunday then he change it to Wednesday since he said his car was broken. Gave us another call on Monday arguing that the Jacuzzi vibrations and the glass wall position caused tiles to crack (this is the first time ever I heard something like that!), "do not use the Jacuzzi anymore" he said. We could not find any logic in this argue!. He got angry and said I am done with this business. Go get someone else to tell why it happened and fix it for you. We are left with broken tiles and a useless shower. I got another handyman to look at it and he said it's either not enough glue in there or the concrete was left for a while and got dry before putting on the tiles. Didn't mention anything about the Jacuzzi thing or the glass wall!!! I paid for the other handyman for the fix and he gave us one year warranty, but who is going to pay me back? HomeAdvisor? We didn't do any paper work for a warranty because we gave our trust to Chris. How we will deal with HomeAdvisor in the future to get any type of business for us and contractors will say eventually get someone else to fix it for you! (As simple as that )

Chris knows tile! He has a hard time sticking to a promised schedule, often late, canceling, or working shorter times than expected. The projects took much longer than planned. However, he offered to shop with me to choose tile! I took him up on this, and his vision of the project in choosing tiles was great! Chris is easy to work with, listened well to what I wanted and came up with great solutions. I was very satisfied with the completed projects! I also felt he was very reasonable with his prices.

Chris is punctual, does a quality job and is easy to work with. His pricing is very fair. I had him replace a tile floor that was only eighteen months old. The floor was installed by a different company and the quality was poor. Chris removed the old tile and underlayment. He then installed a new underlayment and finish tiles. Every tile was level and the grout lines perfect. I would definitely use him again.
