Description of Work: I had 3 retainer walls and a 2-step porch installed in the front/side of my home. The bricks/blocks used for the old retainer walls and porch were removed and hauled away. It took nearly 2 weeks to get the work done due to the changes in the weather. The crew arrived timely and cleaned up after themselves every day. Hector, his team leader and crew are extremely professional. I am very pleased with the appearance and quality of their work. | |Since the completion of the project back in May, I've had a couple of issues whereas adjustments needed to be made to the front porch. Hector was quick to respond and the adjustments were made in a timely manner. | |This project completely transformed the overall look of my home. The larger bricks/blocks used stand up well to the robust color of the house. My only issue is that since the size of the bricks/blocks changed, there was an over-estimation of the quantity of bricks/blocks needed. I had nearly a half of pallet of them left which could not be returned. Not sure what I'm going to do with them. Perhaps find a project for their use next year.

+ 0 moreAerate 1 arrived promptly on time, and began working as one would expect. They were very careful and professional while doing the work. As I usually do, I kept an eye on them while they were working and I was very impressed. They took their time and never once appeared to be rushing or impatient. They made sure to lay down sod that did not require much sunlight because the area being worked on does not receive much sunlight. They made sure to inform us of any upkeep procedures to follow to assist the sod in taking hold. These prodedures were followed and we are very pleased with the results.
Description of Work: Aerate came over about two weeks after our initial contact to remove a concrete slab and fence posts that made up a dog run. They broke up the concrete slab, hauled it away, took out the fence posts, and laid down new sod.

+ 2 moreVery pleased with work, clean up, time for project completion, and customer service. Little extras were done as well such as spreading extra mulch around trees in front. When work was completed the project manager, came over and explained how to care for the plants and gave us tips. A week later the owner came out to check the job and to see if we were satisfied. We signed another contract with him for additional work. I will continue to work with this company as they seem very knowledgeable and take great pride in their work.
Description of Work: Repaired a retaining wall and added caps, removed some bushes and added new ones, added a new planting area with plants, mulched and planted a new tree.

+ 1 moreWe had found Aerate One on Angie's, and since it was a local company we contacted them. Hector the owner came out, walked with us through our yard to determine the work and then gave us an estimate on time and price of the work. We ran into a rainy time and the work could not be started the week they had predicted, due to weather. When they finally did come out they worked extremely hard, and put in long days. They did the work, and the head of the men, talked to us each day to go over what was done, what did we need to have done and to make sure everything done was as we had wanted it. When they were done, Hector came out again, and walked with us to make sure we completely satisfied. They did an excellent job, were very professional, very tidy and made sure everything was cleared and cleaned up each day when they left. We will definitely use use their service again
Description of Work: We had a yard that looked more like a jungle, overgrown with weeds, bushes that needed to be trimmed back, and one area that needed to be planted. We needed to have the areas cleaned, edged, mulched, and in one area plants planted.

I had multiple quotes for the same work, however the advice from and confidence of Aerate-1 gave me an overall comfort level that exceeded other companies. The pricing was a bit more, but it was worth it. The project was completed quickly and completely as promised. I look forward to enjoying my new patio.

+ -1 moreIt went pretty well. They showed up the day they said but they were a little late. It was supposed to take one day but took three. There were some weather issues. There were glitches at the end. The walkway was fine but one end was too high to be able to mow. We needed some more dirt there to level that out a little bit. We had to buy the dirt at our expense. They are supposed to come level that for us today. There was one brick that was chipped and one window well covered that they are going to replace. It looks nice. They did a nice job. I liked the imagination and foresight that he had in order to think out of the box. We appreciated that.

+ 0 moreWe had gotten way behind on our yard work, and the front and back yard had lots of weeds and thistle in the flower beds. I called a few different companies for estimates. Hector from Aerate gave the most detailed estimate for the work and materials needed, so we went with his company. The guys showed up early and worked hard all day. They dug up the weeds, edged the flower beds, pruned the bushes, and spread lots of mulch. The crew was very conscientious and cleaned up the walkway and driveway after they were finished. Now our landscaping looks brand new again. We're very pleased with the work.

+ 1 moreHector was easy to reach and came out to look at the pond. He made several suggestions for upgrades of the pond, but I opted to go with a cleaning only. He quoted me "around $395" I insisted on a firm number and he said that he was sure it was going to be $395. The work was done in a timely manner. They came when they were rained out of another job. The work was done well and my fish survived. I felt their work was of better quality than my previous service. Amazingly they did not trample any plants. This is the first pond service to be so careful. I thought the workers were very careful and conscientious. The only glitch was that the bill was for a higher amount. They "discounted" it to the original amount.

+ 1 moreAerate 1 was the only company to call me back immediately. Hector came out exactly when he said he would and consulted with me for quite a while on what I wanted. He also gave me loads of suggestions. When we needed to adjust the plans, he was again very cooperative and helpful. He didn't make us feel like we were wasting his time with all of our questions but instead seemed more than happy to work with us! The workers with Pedro in command were courteous and worked lightning fast (even in the upper 90's!) It was easy to communicate with them and when I asked for some adjustment to the border, Pedro happily accommodated my request. The workers played their music quietly while they worked and cleaned up after themselves. It was a great experience. I'll definitely refer this company to neighbors and friends.
Description of Work: Aerate 1 put in a retaining wall around the front of our home. There were three walls each with a half moon shape that connected to each other. They also dug a border around it, perfected the border around one side of the house, planted boxwoods along the walkway, dug out a border around the trees, and added mulch to all three sides of our home. In addition, they also replanted some plants that needed to be dug up for the wall installation.

+ 1 moreContact man Hector Martinez spoke perfect English. He was friendly, prompt, and professional. He was easy to work with and offered good suggestions. When we needed to make changes in the plan midway through the job, he was good about implementing them. His crew worked very, very hard and cleaned up after themselves. At least 2 of the crew members spoke English. Communication was never a problem.
Description of Work: We hired Aerate-1 to do trimming of existing shrubs, tree branch removal, lay stone walkways, install stone edging, lay a Uniloc paver walkway, create new planting beds, spread mulch, and to re-sod our whole backyard. We also had them install and bury downspout hoses and bury our sump pump hose.
