+ -1 moreWe didn't get together to talk, we kept playing phone tag for a couple of days. They stopped responding after that and I was busy working and trying to find someone to help me. To be fair, I would still give them a chance. I don't want to be a jerk, things happen!

The receptionist took all of my information over the phone and told me that a designer would call me back within 48 hours. They never called back.

+ 0 moreI used Christie Webber Landscapes once and tried to use them again but found them to be unresponsive to customers. First time I used them the person they sent out to give proposal had no design experience. So when I asked what they would propose he said he would have to ask designers and they would get back to me. They never got back to me. I decided to have them do the work but it was average and very expensive. I recently bought a new home in Lincoln Park that needs a significant amount of landscaping work. I called and emailed. No response at first. Then I received a voicemail from someone that said he would call me back at his convenience. He tried twice to reach me then never tried again. I specifically asked to be contacted via email. I gave them a list of work I needed to have done My impression was they had enough work an didn't need my business. I went elsewhere - to landscaper that responded quickly, scheduled meeting time via email.
Description of Work: fall cleanup of courtyard and potted flowers.

Description of Work: Christy Weber Landscapes recently completed a complete remodel of all of our landscaping. They installed a bluestone patio, multiple seat walls, an outdoor fireplace, an out door kitchen, and columns. Existing plants were rearranged and new ones were added. The company was very responsive and was willing to work around our schedule. Tony Butterworth, one of their designers, was a pleasure to work with and provided great ideas to help our project and budget.

+ 0 moreThe patio looks beautiful and the cost was comparable to other quotes that we received. We have only had the patio for a few months, but the quality of the workmanship seems quite good. The workers were prompt in arriving every day and did the job quickly and efficiently. The only issue that we encountered was a lack of responsiveness by the project manager, who didn't seem terribly familiar with the various hardscaping product offerings, and did not come out and check in every day as I would have expected during the actual work. Nor was there complete clarity with him on the exact square footage of the job despite my requests for us to go over the numbers together. Our original point person, who was quite good at making recommendations and communicating expectations, left the company, and we worked with the new project manager who didn't seem quite as experienced (took us a while to pull the trigger on the job and thus ended up with the change). If you decide to work with Kinsella, I would suggest setting expectations on communication. The work is quite good, so if you know what you want done, and ensure that everyone is on the same page, that would make for a more likely "A" situation.
Description of Work: Kinsella Landscaping created a bluestone patio for us between our house and our garage in the city. They removed an area of older brick pavers and an area of grass from my backyard and put down bluestone hardscaping, including shaping some planting beds as part of the patio area.

Description of Work: We requested a quote and landscape design of our back yard. The design is spectacular! They listened to our wishes (type of trees, color of plants) and took into account the quality of soil and what type of plants would thrive in our yard. There was not hard sell. We did not schedule the project yet due to financial difficulties, but will as soon as we are able. I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone!

Description of Work: We I called Christy Webber Landscapes for a rainwater drainage problem on our patio as well as to bury a large drain pipe for our Condo association. Initially, the assigned project manager came within 1-2 days and was very courteous and knowledgeable. He took the measurements needed for our project carefully even though it was raining out. He got us the reasonable estimate within the week and answered all the association members questions. We had hopes things would go smoothly with this company. We came to realize they were a very large company as far as landscaping goes and that they had the biggest contracts in the city such as Millenium park. Thus we were very patient with the scheduling and were happy for them to fit us in whenever a nearby project or downtime between large jobs made it convenient. Due to the especially rainly spring in Chicago, we were patient with delays a couple of times as they said large projects didn't get completed due to the rain and our job would be next. Around the third time we got a day fixed, they never showed up and stopped responding to phone calls and emails. I called their offices twice and although the attendant was very polite and tried to be helpful over the phone, I never got a call or email from the project manager. Very poor form for a business when you waste peoples time like this and they have to jump hoops to give you their business. If Christy Webber Landscaping is too big to bother with anything less than the largest of contracts, they should say so up front. I would find that more respectable. There are other reviews online about this company where people had similar experiences. Unfortunately, I didn't see these before I wasted time on them. They don't really need your business and you should probably call someone else.

+ 1 moreI got several estimates and I haven't made a decision yet. She came on a Saturday and I had the proposal on Tuesday. She was very knowledgeable and positive. They were very easy to speak with. I have no complaints and it was easy communication from the beginning until the proposal was given.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Christy Webber Landscapes for regrading the back yard. I have severe water problems in the back yard so we needed the yard regraded and adding some drain tile and possibly putting in a stone patio.

Description of Work: Over a 3-4 week period I called Kinsella twice. Both times I spoke with a receptionist type person that said I would be called back to set up an appointment to meet and discuss my home landscaping project. Both times no one ever called me back. I would never use this company for any work. If they are that unorganized that twice I called and twice they did not call me back, I can't imagine how they run their projects.

+ -1 morePATIO IS EXQUISITE. THE DESIGN IS AWESOME AND THE CARE SALVADOR AND HIS CREW PUT IN THE DESIGN AND PATTERN OF THE STONES IS EVIDENT. THE PROJECT MANAGER AND LANDSCAPE DESIGNER, LANA JINKS, WAS INCREDIBLE AS WELL. SHE STOPPED BY EVERY DAY AND CAME WHEN PROBLEMS AROSE AND HELPED RESOLVE THEM QUICKLY. THE END RESULT IS A BEAUTIFUL PATIO AND MY BACK YARD LOOKS 100% BETTER THAN BEFORE. I WILL USE FREDERICK CORP. AGAIN FOR ANY LANDSCAPE WORK I NEED. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM, THEIR PRICE WAS VERY COMPETITIVE AND LANA'S DESIGN WAS GREAT!

+ -1 moreI WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE. THEY RETURNED CALLS PROMPTLY, AND SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. PEOPLE AT THE OFFICE WERE PROFESSIONAL, AND WORKERS THAT DID INSTALL WERE NICE. PATIO CAME OUT GREAT. THEY CLEANED UP WHEN THEY WERE DONE, AND HAD ME SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AT THE OFFICE TO MAKE SURE I WAS SATISFIED AFTER THEY FINISHED. THEY WERE THE LOWEST COST OF THE THREE BIDS I RECEIVED. THE HIGHEST WAS $1000 HIGHER. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM FOR FUTURE WORK ON MY HOME.
Description of Work: THEY REMOVED A TREE, AND A CONCRETE STOOP, AND INSTALLED A 200 SQ FOOT UNILOCK BRICK PAVER PATIO, WITH A SINGLE STAIR UP TO THE FRONT DOOR. THE PAVERS WERE ''OLD GREENWICH COBBLE'' AND THE STONES USED TO BUILD THE STEP WERE ''QUARRY STONE''. THEY ALSO BURIED A DRAIN FROM A GUTTER DOWNSPOUT, AND INSTALLED A NICE DRAIN CAP AT THE END.

+ -1 moreOUR YARD WAS COMPLETELY TRANSFORMED IN LESS THAN 4 HOURS. THEY SENT A 10 MAN CREW TO DO THE WORK. BEFORE THEY STARTED WE WENT OVER EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. THERE WAS A BIT OF 'LANGUAGE ISSUE' WITH THE CREW'S MANAGER, THAT MADE IT A BIT HARD TO COMMUNICATE AT TIMES. AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED, THEY SENT OVER ANOTHER SUPERVISOR TO DO A FINAL CHECK OF THE WORK AND CHECK ON MY APPROVAL. ABOUT A WEEK AFTER THE SOD WAS INSTALLED, I HAD A COUPLE OF ISSUES WITH SOME DEAD SPOTS IN THE GRASS. THEY AGREED TO COME BY AND REPLACE THE SOD AT NO COST, BECAUSE IT FELL UNDER OUR WARRANTY.
